The China mini-skids can be a good starter machine. I hope this one works out well for you. You mentioned that some other machines have two pumps, but they actually usually have three pumps. American made machines from brands like Ditch Witch, Vermeer, and Toro use a stack of three pumps. Two of them are hydrostats for the tracks, and one supplies flow for rams and auxiliary. The advantage of that system is that the drive and steering maintains the same smooth feel regardless of engine rpm. The disadvantage is that the three pumps are expensive. If you want to maximize track life, you should slack the tracks every 50-100 hrs and spin all the bogey wheels and the idler wheels. Make sure they turn smoothly and don't have any wobble or play from bad bearings. If any bearings go bad, they will probably be replaceable, and you can replace them with a good brand like Timken. If you keep the bogeys in good shape, then I would expect a machine that light to get at least 400-500 hrs on a set of tracks.
Thanks a bunch for the information! I'm really hoping that for the amount and type of work I'll be using this for it will hold up well. I'm not trying to get into the excavation business! Just want to save myself some effort spreading gravel into areas where I can't get my dump trailer.

@@waky2294 Interesting! Has the lack of a cooler given you any problems? Even with the cooler on mine, the hydraulic lines (the metal ones) get too hot to touch for more than a couple seconds. I don't really know what problems it might cause.

If you open up the machine you’re going to see another little access for oil on the opposite side. That’s where the dipstick will be and you can just switch them around.
those engines need to be on full throttle all the time because thats how they cool from the fan under the shroud of engine.not good to run on low throttle.great video
@haulintrash there's definitely a little blower on the flywheel like every other small engine. If you reach on the other side of the gas tank you'll feel it blowing across the cyl and the head.
I have this same machine for 3 months and I have put it through the ringer. I have moved 12 pallets river rock on a job 2 days. 3 sink holes over 35 cubic yards and over 40 yards mulch and light grading on a few jobs moving around mulch and it's still running like a champ. How much did yall buy yours for?

I'm glad the video cleared that up for you! It has the hydraulic cooler with a little electric fan.
Not all of the MachPro MPS300 have a cooler. I have the same machine but no cooler.

Helpful video. Is the track tension done with a threaded rod or a grease fitting?
@@mariumabacha3198 It has a big threaded rod. There is a cutout on the side of the cover on the rollers to access it.

A whopping 15 HP! Can barely hold it back! LOL!
