Doug, if you can't hold the trigger from one end to the other you are tacking not welding. Just take 2 minutes on a scrap piece to get your settings right and then weld away. Less grinding and better, stronger bond between work pieces. Plus faster fab time. Better all around in the long run.

Each one of those battery frames could have been done from one piece of metal instead of 4 pieces since you had/have the battery jig. Did that back in the 80's for a dual battery setup for a pair of Orion HCCA 50 watters. Damn I miss the 80's.

Why not use the 30 ft, obnoxious "safety" cut off to tie the batteries together and get another solenoid and wire it as an arm/disarm switch?

Waiting metal you should group them together on one rack with a tie down bar holds them down. Everything you can tie together and ground through the rack makes for better electron flow and the higher you can hop. But the return of techno viking is the shit.. !
He's running 48volts so you can't ground through the rack,plus he needs to put a emergency disconnect in the ground wire to the pumps in case the solenoids stick.
@@southjerseysound7340 it doesn't matter how many volts you are running always weld rack to frame and ground through it the quick connects are for pumps and solenoids
