In Search of a Waterfall | California Overlanding the Tahoe National Forest to Webber Falls

- After a few days at Bowman Lake in the Tahoe National Forest, we set out In Search of a Waterfall. We take a gps route we picked up on @OverlandTrailGuides and set out onto the trail, which turned out to be quite an adventure while overlanding california! Mud, a little snow and more mud until finally we reach the magnificent Webber Falls!
This route is a short drive from Truckee California and is accessible during the summers to high clearance 4x4's. A great weekend trip or a stop in a much longer overland itinerary like ours.

I remember that weekend. I met you at the gas station just before entering Bowman Rd. We camped at the lake that night then took that same road to Meadow Lake just before you and got stuck. At exactly the 18 minute mark you can see our mud pile pass by your driver side from us digging out our TJ for an hour. Great trip, hope you enjoyed your adventure in Northern California.

Interesting flora. The Snow flower, and the pine trees are orange at the top. I looked it up.
Fusiform rust is caused by the fungus Cronartium quorum f. sp. fusiforme, and produces bright orange spores in the spring on southern yellow pines, especially loblolly pine.
Douglas Fir and the sarcodes sanguinea make it an amazing place to explore!
