Good video but they are regular horse not cordoven leather, cordoven is made from small part of horse’s butt and it wouldn’t be enough to produce a boot made from one piece of leather. Guidi uses cordoven on 795V and some derbies, maybe also on more boots with different panels but def not on backzips nor on frontzips
exactly. I have absolutely never been into any kind of boot at all until I discovered CCP boots, after some research I then soon discovered Guidi and I am now getting closer to finding a pair of Guidi 988z's in my size which is damn near impossible it feels like lmfao.
How much would you say they stretch? I had a 43 (my tts) and couldn't even fit my foot in far enough to zip them at first. They started to stretch after about 2 weeks but were still a bit too tight. Ended up getting rid of them ... still want some Guidi tho
I’d say yea. My margiela GATs are a tight 44. I wear them with the thinnest no show socks so I def can fit a 45 MM. My 988s actually have an insole in them so I honestly could have sized down. Don’t forget the leather is super pliable so honestly it’ll prob stretch out
@@dannylonglegs7600 ahh ty I’m pretty sure the pair I’m looking at is kangaroo. Also is the insole you’re referring to the one w the shoes that can’t be taken out? Cuz the inside of the 988s I’m looking at look the same as how yours look in your video.
Oh nah I’m talking about an insole from Walgreens LOL. I put it in after the video cause my legs be getting a lil sore. It’s like an inch at the heel but it’s plush. Without it, my feet slide around a little after breaking it in

any cobbler should be able to put em on for you
What do you use to condition the boots or do you leave them as is?
