Narrow design (for use anywhere, even where the down pipe is very close to the wall).
It can be rotated in any direction (the filtered water pipe and the service/overflow pipe can be rotated freely),
100% water efficiency (assuming that there is not a lot of leaves coming out of the gutter).
When the tank (or several connected IBC tanks) is full, the excess water simply drains down the downpipe.
Strong build (we do not see how the thing could be damaged).
Replaceable components (no need to buy a complete filter if only a single part needs to be replaced).
Self-cleaning function (dirt and leaves are automatically removed through the service/overflow opening; as with all filters, there must be a human control from time to time).
Easy inspection, cleaning or replacement of the filter, without the need to dismantle the filter.
Overflow outlet (any excess water in heavy rainfall or when the filter is clogged flows out through the service/overflow pipe - this should face away from the house; you can also connect a pipe to this outlet and take the excess water to the sump if the amount of water you have captured in heavy rainfall proves to be too much).
Easy to switch over before winter freezing (the inner part of the filter is simply taken out and replaced with the socket provided, without screwing).
Designed for the most common actually usable fall pipe diameters: 100mm metal, 75mm and 110mm PVC (plastic water pipe).
The most sensible diameters for side outlets (to the tank): 75mm and 50mm.

Suitable for installation on a roof pipe with the usual surface area of a family house (half roof up to 80m2). Due to the overflow opening, you can actually mount it on a downpipe from a roof of any area, bearing in mind that for larger volumes the water will run off over the overflow opening - in principle it is wet everywhere then anyway. If this is a problem, simply add a pipe to the overflow opening and drain the water away.
