Kari is a Norwegian folk singer and after a few albums she started to mix it with something more pop.
3° & the Mortal is an Avant Guard band (experimental with death and especially doom).
There is a quartet of Norwegian bands; Theater of Tragedy (doom and death, some electronic music), Tristania (doom and death, then gothic), and The Sins of Thy Beloved (gothic and doom).

Beautiful band, so amazing to see anyone react to their music. They pioneered the genre, and few people actually know about them, despite their immense influence.
Nightwish wouldn't exist without them, among many, many others. The first ever "female fronted" metal band from the 90s, to use completely feminine, delicate lead vocals in a heavy context. After them came The Gathering and Theatre of Tragedy, shaping the genre for generations to come 🖤.

Since my fellow commentator mentioned The Gathering and Theatre of Tragedy, it is noteworthy that Kari from this band toured with Anneke from The Gathering and Liv from Theatre of Tragedy as they sang biggest hits of their bands. The trio named themselves The Sirens. There are some of their tracks on UA-cam.

featuring their second female singer: Ann-Mari Edvardsen
that is even closer to 'Dead Can Dance in metal'
speaking about the guitar work here; they must have been a huge inspiration for Opeth and Katatonia, as well the also female-lead fellow In The Woods.
