that is a tad better than that Karaoke clip that put her on Arjen's radar. Hope to see her live with UTA at some point. I was looking forward to her the most when the shows were announced. So glad I got to see this in person - twice.
What a fantastic song is this! Alle the speed and her pronunciation is fantastic. The band is just wauw here as the angels are. Timo on guitar is a friend of my son in law who is also a great guitarist. o all and all this is very, very good to me. Thanks for yuor reaction. Grettz from NL to Canada.
Timo is exceptional! The way he makes the guitar 'sing' and transfers emotion is a different class of musician.

Arjen is the freaking best, knows so many amazing musicians and for all of them their love and passion for the art is clear as day. And Britney.....just .. nothing more to say than just daaaaaaaaamn. Amazing talent from everyone on that stage. 💜
I found that the European Metal scene seems to be family, so many collaborations. It’s Great. Ayreon is excellent! Arjen as an excellent composer. He is right up there with Tuomas Holopainen for me! 🤘🎸
You just see the amazing talent, craftmanship, love, magic, joy pffff. So good. When you are feeling down, listen to Ayreon (it can never hurt)

Son of former Vengeance Guitarist Jan Somers who sadly passed away Jan 2011. After this Timo became leadguitarist of that band as well as Delain with whom he toured the world already. As Arjen mentioned definately a secret weapon in the band.

Well you two cuties, I now finally have to admit that I am a big fan of your channel. Not only did I recognize you as true fans of Nightwish and Epica, but in the travel of you I see myself diving deeper and deeper into the phantastic world of melodic metal, now with Visions of Atlantis and Aereon. You can't even imagine how good this was live. The quality and variety of the musicians and vocalists is always sublime. I was fortunate to see two of these concerts. And Brittney slayed!

On Arjen's site, I added a comment about how the band seemed so invested in the music and so eager to bring that excitement to the audience.
... and I went on for 3 paragraphs.... normally a YT faux pas.
Arjen was kind enough to say thanks for the the comment, and actually seemed generally appreciative... truly a rare and wonderful person.
(Not humble, nor should be HAVE to be, but he also does *not* brag.)
Anyway, I though *I* was 'special' because at that time, there was only one other post with a comment from Arjen in the first couple pages.
That made me feel VERY special... for about 2 hours... I went back to re-read it, and saw that he had kind responses to more than 90% of the other comments. AND THIS is what makes Arjen such a rare commodity : a fantastic writer/producer/player who is so deeply committed to his audience, that he offers a personal contact, in spite of his near-hermit-like nature. I've had a coup[e times in my life when I was publicly thanked for things I have done. I wish I had the benefit of Arjen's example back then.

That Timo solo was originally done by the GOAT Michael Romeo from Symphony X. You can watch the original video for the song and see him perform it.
The ironic thing? This is a song about the Terminator universe, which Brittney loves singing -- she is a sci-fi and fantasy nerd, after all.
And then if that were that not enough, Arjen found Brittney after her karoke video of "Queen of the Reich" by Queensryche went viral. Which, if you haven't seen it, I highly recommend it:

Hello you two 😅. As ever with any Star One composition, this was inspired by the 80's Sci-Fi movie 'The Terminator'. Brittney is a fantastic addition to the Ayreon fraternity, all thanks to Floor not being available of course! Take care.

It is. That's the concept behind Star One. Every album is a love letter to Sci-fi books/movies/TV series. The first "Space Metal" obviously about space, the second "Victims of the modern age" explores post apocalypse and the third "Revel in time" (Fate of man included) is about time travel.
No just Terminator 1 !!!

Brittney "replaced" Floor, she was on the original album, her role is not too big on the storyline.. but we did not miss Floor 😉, anyway from the original cast we did not have Steve Lee (R. I. P.), Floor, Jorn Lande, Bob Catley.. we had on stage Brittney, Damian Wilson, Mike Mills and Jaycee Cuijpers🙂
