Fort Wilderness is Empty due to Hurricane Helene

Day #5 We awaited the arrival of Hurricane Helene. We had some hard showers and a bit of wind early but overall the weather didn't deteriorate til late evening and into the night. We made the most of it riding "Splash Mountain" countless times. We even got to spend time with Chip near the campfire. Not many people were out riding or participating in the scavenger hunt. We took it easy most of the afternoon in the RV and I got to catch up on editing videos. The campground still looked eerie without the Halloween inflatables and decorations. We did spot a few down trees one of them landed near the back of a campsite on their table. There was lots of small debris and pine needles over the roads.
