    There's 2 types of vining plants - climber and/or creeper.
    As climbers, if you don't regularly trimming it they will getting stressful due to the transportation of water/nutrients for very long vining line. In the end, the bottom part will die.
    So keep it well-groomed.
    If you put supporting poles/stakes, better off to train them to grow straight upwards (rather than twisting around).
    Then u-turn it on ground and back upwards like rolling them. There, bottom part of vines will develop new established roots to enhance the root system from time to time.
    As creeper, they have no issues about rooting along the way ground. Preferably putting garden rocks to make it pretty much good looking.
    If you can't decide which is which, let it grow hanging. Let gravity do the job! 😉

    Nice plants and also information. Can you please tell the composition of soil mix for hanging baskets that you use.

    • @GardeningUpbeat
      @GardeningUpbeat  3 роки тому

      @Geetha Jawalkar, Thank you very much for your feedback, appreciate it :-) Soil mix actually depend on the plants but I can understand, you are worrying as they might be heavy. For most of my plants, I try to do same way I usually do for my most of the indoor plants and it's not too heavy. Sometimes, I also prepare soil mix without using garden soil and some plants perform well in that media. Here in this video (ua-cam.com/video/IkD1JRQgC6E/v-deo.html), I have shown both composition. Plus, if you can specify about a particular plant, I would be able to provide more info. Thank you :-)

    Sir my rose dieback problem has reached the grafted portion ...pls suggest a solution to that problem..i really want to save it😪

    • @GardeningUpbeat
      @GardeningUpbeat  3 роки тому

      @Chaitanya Srivastava, Grafted portion...sorry to say, there is not much hope. Usually, whenever we see it, we need to cut few inches below the black spot. Since you are able to see on grafted portion, it would be bit difficult. But still, apply some fungicide and till the soil a bit. Provide as much sunlight as possible and water carefully. Fertilize once lightly after 10 days. If the roots are strong enough, plant would produce new shoots soon. Good luck and I would appreciate if you don't call me Sir, just a request :-)
