    Mother of the year award goes to this beauty, living on the streets having to scavenge for food and she's managed to ensure that her puppies are well nourished, plus she was so calm when they took her babies, which makes sense because dogs are known for being good judge of characters, and she probably sensed that he was harmless,

    You're so patient Eldad. "I want you to show me." Letting her introduce you to the puppies. A lot pf people would not do that. People can be so cold. Not the rescuers of Hope for Paws. May st. Francis bless each animal you save. May they never know hunger or fear or pain ever again.

But then, her strong motherly instinct took over when she heard crying pups and couldn’t help herself. Probably she realized by that time, you were most likely not harmful to her or her babies. Amazing!! Thank you for spending the time to find those pups.

    We watch you from Spain, and we think that you have a big golden stair with a red carpet to stay in the sky, when all of you go with God. In your sky, god bless you with eternal hapiness, dogs, cats, and bbq everyday. We love you.
    We are a simple family (father, mother and 14th daughter) that colaborate with asociations, veterinaries and civil protection and rescue cats, we have 8, and another 7 waiting for a new family. People like you are blessing for God. God job.

    Such a heartwarming & heartbreaking thing to watch...everything was done so as not to scare the mom away, and to prevent her from becoming aggressive. You guys really know what you're doing and the proof is in the outcome. She led you to her pups, and she let you touch them and take them. You guys are GREAT! It is a special gift of talent to do this work. It's timely, it's scary, it's unknown territory for the rescuers & the rescued. GREAT JOB! Am so happy for the mom & the pups! That was a grand idea to play the recording of the puppies crying! Who knows how long you would have to have waited otherwise! If only all the strays could be rescued and given shelter and find "forever" homes. Keep up the great work! You are God's angels!

    That was so clever! Kind of weird that she wouldn't recognize the specific cry of her own pups (I know some animals - including humans of course - instinctively know the sound of their own baby vs. other babies) but I'm so glad it worked! She perked up so fast and looked so worried! Such a fantastic mom.
    It's makes me so sad that the first world those puppies saw with their own eyes was a frightening one with danger around every corner. At least they'll never have to know that world again.

    • @swordnquilstarskgrem
      @swordnquilstarskgrem 9 років тому +3

      Privacy Lover True that mothers react to the cries of their own babies, but read about the 'let down reflex'. A lactating human mother will almost *always* start lactating milk at the sound of *any* infant's cry. It's a reflex, just as it is this canine mother's reflex to move toward their babies at the sound of any puppy cries.

    • @nowandaround312
      @nowandaround312 9 років тому +1

      swordnquilstarskgrem Thanks for the info. So then I guess she wasn't really making a conscious choice out of concern for her babies, it was just a reflex. The important thing is that they got the puppies.

    Wonderful Video. Cops could learn A LOT from this Man how to handle Dogs they don't know before just shooting at them recklessly and then brush it off as life was in danger bla bla.
    You can tell the Dog is kind hearted. What a sweety! Thank you so much for all you do! This is a great success story! Much respect to you guys for handling it all, esp the hard stuff - however you do it, but you're doing it! Utmost respect. I know I would break seeing an animal hurt or injured, so I admire anybody that can handle it. I can see a human hurt, but not an Animal.

      germanylicious, Sad to say but law enforcement does not have hours to deal with the initially violent reaction some dogs exhibit.

    • @germanylicious
      @germanylicious 9 років тому +2

      David Hoffman like what? Dogs wiggling their tails? barking? sitting in their yard? Cops don't just shoot at "aggressive" behavior and to shoot period is BS! There are other methods, pepper spray for example or something. Most of the shit Cops say to brush this off as life threatening is pulled out of their sleeves. It's not fucking rocket science!

    • @davidhoffman5789
      @davidhoffman5789 9 років тому +4

      I doubt sitting quietly in a yard they are supposed to be in results in many shootings of dogs by law enforcement officers. The same for tail wagging. But barking can be a problem when coupled with a fast approach. Barking can quickly become growling. It can actually be difficult to hit a fast moving target with pepper spray in the proper location on a dog, or even on a human.
      I do not support badly behaving boys in blue who enter locked fenced-in yards and shoot dogs. The owner was obviously trying keep the animal safe from humans or other animals and was also trying to keep humans and other animals safe from the dog. No matter how "aggressive" the dog is, it is unlikely the dog will be able to exit the fenced in area and attack. Stay back from the fence line by at least 3 meters(10 feet) and all should be OK.
      A dog wandering out on the street is another matter. Most will run away from humans. Some packs will become truely aggressive and there may be a need to kill the dogs.
      Dog rescuers may have the ability to spend 90 minutes being nice to a dog to try a rescue. Law enforcement officers may only have 90 seconds to spare on the situation.

    • @germanylicious
      @germanylicious 9 років тому +1

      I get your point and you're right but read up on Puppycide and pages like the Facebook Page "Dogs shot by Police". I used to think the same thing until I heard the truth, over and over again. Barking, Growling, I get all that but there are still other ways to deal with it. It's not always 90 seconds. They may only take 90 seconds to shoot bc they are too lazy to take other procedures. Shoot, then ask. It's said that every 98 Minutes a Dog, or Family Member that is, is shot by Law Enforcement.
