- Jetty Park is such an amazing campground- as close as you can get to sleeping with the cruise ships! There is also a day use area here, which is so much fun, and has an amazing beach! 
There’s so much to do here, from watching the cruise ships depart, to seeing a variety of wildlife and nature, to fishing from the long pier which jets out from the end of Port Canaveral, to exploring the beach and searching for shells, to watching submarines or space launches! You could easily camp here for a month and still have things to see and do. In this video, we will give you a little taste of what it’s like to camp at Jetty Park.

Our family had many wonderful camping experiences at Jetty Park when we were younger. But a cautionary note is that the beach is a VERY long HOT walk from the campground. No pool. But those were simpler days with much more stamina. Make memories while you can.
Thanks for sharing your experiences, Monica. That is true that the beach is quite a ways from the campground! There is parking closer to the beach if a person wanted to drive most of the way over there. But it does require some walking to be sure.

My husband and I sailed out of Port Canaveral for the first time on Feb 4th and we saw that park! It looked like such a neat place to watch the ships!

It was great, we sailed MSC for the first time and we were pleasantly surprised. We'll definitely try them again sometime!

We are now discovering the Florida State Parks, and are totally in love. We went to see the manatees yesterday, so a video coming soon on that. We’re going to have to plan a lot of camping trips for the future!

They’re building a new camp store. You actually can have a fire at your campsite BUT your site has to have water and you have to have your own fire ring. Those water side sites are nice but no electricity and you have to shut your generator off for quiet hours. If you get lucky they may have a launch while you’re camping there! It’s freaking amazing! Just know some of the sites are pretty close and you may not appreciate getting grey poupon at your site! lol! You might have to be a bit older to get that one! LOL! We ever miss the ships leaving! Elon doesn’t have a yacht but he does have an airplane!😂 Dis-net not Dis-en-ney !

Heading there on the 15th for my MSC Seashore cruise! Where in Florida do you travel from? I hope one day to move closer to Canaveral and avoid a 500+ mile drive!
Awesome, I hope you have a great cruise! We travel from Central Florida, about an hour northwest of Orlando. But it’s less than a 2 drive for us to get to Port Canaveral now, so we love that. Happy sailing! 🛳️😎
