    Great review Ari! It is amazing how well the newer Shark navigated out of that tough area. I for one welcome our new robot overlords. ;)

      I was actually amazed when reviewed the footage, I would not have expected it to get out that quickly.

      Glad I could help! I have been using this once a week ever since publishing the video. Still very happy with it! - amzn.to/35qfHZj

    Hi Ari, nice video. I live in Australia 🇦🇺 and got a couple years ago the Roomba 980 as a Xmas gift and it’s amazing and does a very good job of cleaning and wasn’t bad when it came to the randomness of the cleaning track it followed. I think for busy people, these are a great device which you set and forget and allow to come home a clean home. This is good when random visitors stop by out of the blue.

      Thanks for sharing! Great to hear the Roomba 980 is working well for you - that was a very high-end model when it hit the market. And I agree, once you find the right place to use these robots in your home, they really do bring a sense of extra cleanliness without a lot of effort! I mostly use them in bedrooms, as they work great under cabinets and beds, where I couldn't otherwise clean.

      Wish you could set it like a water sprinkler system to come on at certain times of day. That seems like a much better feature to include personally.

    I use my ION ROBOT on hard wood floors and it works great. Also works well on the tile floors in the wet areas. Wish I had know how well they worked earlier. I would have owned one a lot sooner. I like my cleaning wand that came with mine to get in those corners where the Shark could not. Self emptying is a nice feature but one I can wait for. The mapping feature also seems like a nice touch if your room layout gives your cleaner a hard time. I try to run mine when I am out of the room\house so dining room Pachinko is not something I suffer from.

      Hilarious - I had to look up Pachinko, but yeah, that's a great analogy!
      By the way, I'm with you on that Shark cleaning wand - I use it more than the robot itself! Sadly, mine is starting to fail (spring-loaded door seems to be getting jammed), and I can't live without it!

    Thanks for the thorough review, did you leave the base on the carpeted floor?

    • @TheTechBuyersGuru
      @TheTechBuyersGuru  3 роки тому

      Yes, and I used the included plastic mounting tray under the base, not shown in video. This ensures that the bot lines up with the vacuum port of the base. Otherwise it could sink into the carpet and lead to an inability to dock. Imagine a spacecraft docking with a space station - you need an airtight fit!

    Good review, but you missed battery life. Probably doesn't really matter with the self cleaning-charging base, but I would have liked to know.

      Seems to go about an hour before returning to dock to recharge.

    How did it do with getting drebri againts the wall at the base boards?

      Because it has brushes on both sides (unlike Roomba), it's quite good at that.
