Honestly, Robert, you find the most unique places! Never heard of the Grotto! As a devout Catholic I just love your explorations of Christian sites across the country. We wasted no time making a trip to Groom, Texas to see the Cross after I watched your blog. Thank you so much!
1:52 Thank you. I have been living around this area for all of my life and even I am often surprised, and a little awestruck, at the understated majesty of the place I've been blessed to call my home so I am infinitely charmed when somebody shares the same sentiment with me.
So glad you made it to the Grotto! Early in my carrier I did art for them including the Fr. Dobberstein bronze. It is truly a place of wonder and am proud to be a part of it. Big fan of the videos. Keep on traveling!
It was nice to see the high lites of the rally again! And the Grotto was cool, we were amazed at the detail and amount of time it must have taken to create! Thanks!!
So happy that PIke's Peak State Park may be on your list of places for next year! Years ago, my husband and I visited there many times. A lovely place. The area around Marquette and McGregor are amazing.
Another great video, Robert! Great views of Iowa and the wonderful detour into Minnesota. While these are plains states, there's also interesting topography--it's not just all flat land! Those of us who live here love the views!
Thanks so much for showing this part of our country's glorious beauty. I've never seen these states before. The Grotto of the Redemption was just so beautiful and touching. Excellent video as always.
The Grotto of the Redemption is beautiful and a pleasant surprise. Someday, I might get a chance to travel to West Bend and see it. Continue to have fun, keep up the great productions, and always be safe, my friend.
Amazing! I just left Miller Riverview Park a couple of days ago. If you have a chance to visit one of the Lock and Dams on the river, like the one you could see from the campground, check out when a large barge and tug go through the locks. It is very interesting the undertaking of splitting up a load to get it to fit in the lock.
Saw your review of Dubuque Iowa. You should have spent more ti.e looking at the art work on the buildings. It is a very beautiful and unique city. Have many friends from all over the world who love our city. When I travel the world in the military I would always give a city respect.
What a lovely trip, visiting places are very beautiful. It looks very nice at lowa's food festival. Grotto is a wonderful place. Very enjoyable stream thanks.
I am from Balltown! I think you are going to enjoy a trip north of Guttenberg on the Great River Road. You have to go to Pikes Peak, Effigy Mounds, and Yellow Rive state park. You would also enjoy Elkader and Decorah.
Hey I've noticed that you've been an Iowa several times over the last few years, next time you go over there you need to travel over to Spirit Lake, definitely worth your trip you'll be able to photograph quite a bit over there.
Thanks for always showing the uniqueness of small towns. A much deserved break for you. How long are you taking off? Hope all is well with you. Looking forward to your videos when you return.
Hi Robert. Thanks for taking your viewers to such unique places. Would you mind telling me what tonneau cover you have on your truck? Would you recommend it? Thanks.
No subs this time, Robert? There were none in the previous video as well :( Shame, but great video, one more in the never-ending list of your great videos.
AH DONDE ESTA EL KIA. YO COMPRE EL KIA SORENTO EN MAYO 2003 CUANDO SALIO. ME DURO HASTA EL 2019. EL MEJOR CARRO QUE HE TENIDO. AL FIN ME TUVE QUE DESASER DE EL POR QUE EL INVIERNO EN EL NORTE ACABO CON EL POR DEBAJO DE LA SAL PARA NIEVE.
Hi Robert, I’ve really enjoyed your videos over the past few years. My favorites were during the pandemic when you kept to natural attractions. But lately . . . six ad breaks in 24 minutes PLUS your Surfshark sponsored message? Other UA-camrs are doing half that much. I hope you find this feedback constructive.
16:45 "The Stations of the Cross1 or Via Crucis2 3 (in Latin: "way of the cross") is one of the most widespread devotions or prayer practices among Catholics.4 It is held on Good Friday and Fridays of Lent and refers to the different moments lived by Jesus of Nazareth from his arrest to his crucifixion, burial and subsequent resurrection. The expression is also commonly used to express all kinds of difficulties that arise in life when you want to achieve certain goals. Also known as "Stations of the Cross" and "Via Dolorosa", it is an act of piety, a path of prayer, based on meditation on the passion and death of Jesus Christ, on his way to Calvary. The path is represented with a series of fourteen images of the Passion, called stations, corresponding to particular incidents that, according to Catholic tradition, Jesus suffered for the salvation of humanity based on the Gospel accounts and tradition. Also called via crucis is the route of crosses that indicate a path or a route where this pious exercise can be carried out."
Robert i like your videos and im fairly new here but it seems to me you use you rv more as a motel then a rv. You travel more then camp and hang out maybe im just to new to your videos and you drink alot
For biblical accuracy: Prayers are to The Father, The Son and The Holy Spirit. No place in the bible are we given direction or permission to pray to anyone else. No place does the Bible tell us that Mary has any authority and performs miracles. This part of the faith is a manmade invention. In fact, by circumventing Jesus, it is a slap in His face for only He made the sacrifice for our sins. Mary said "I am in need of a Savior." Only God performs miracles. Anything else is not from God. Biblically speaking of course.
Furthermore, the Bible explicitly forbids creating engraved images of anything up in heaven, on Earth or the sea below for the purpose of worship of any kind. It is part of the 10 commandments.
Sunday morning and it's time for some Cafe Bustelo and the latest Traveling Robert video! Those Mississippi overlooks are beautiful--I definitely need to head out there next year to take in some of that great scenery. I'd probably drive an hour to see the Jolly Green Giant too...after all, that's what you do on road trips, right? It looks like you put in a lot of miles driving to all the places in this particular episode...I'm curious, do you know what the total was? Until next week, happy trails!

Yes a friend of mine is from there. We were out there about a week before Robert was in the area. He could ride the wooden roller coaster.
