- The streets are shut and sidewalks locked down for President Joe Biden as he and Secretary Blinken make their way to the United Nations HQ in a large motorcade of extra security vehicles, with US Secret Service, White House Comms Agency, Diplomatic Security Service, NYPD and more providing a joint motorcade for both VIPs. President Biden is one of many world leaders attending the UN General Assembly this week in New York City.

The SUV with the antennas on the roof close to the limo is used for electronic counter measures. It jams a bunch of radio frequencies that could potentially be used to remotely detonate an explosive hidden along the route of the limo. I’m sure there’s lots of other things it does as well.

Thank you! Yeah I've filmed it a lot but this was definitely one of our, if not, the, biggest one I've filmed. New York goes big on the motorcade! They have a lot of resources and a lot of tight streets, tall buildings, parked cars, crowds...etc. to deal with.
I also want to add to this the motorcade had Secretary Blinken riding within, hence there were more State Department vehicles too.

In DC POTUS usually has around 40 vehicles in a motorcade.... this one in NYC for the UN General Assembly there were 60! Wow .
The Presidents motorcades in NYC is always one of my favorite locations to watch it.

I always feel a bit sad for the SWAT team in that closed up black truck that looks like an ambulance. That don’t have any windows. Can’t see the sites.
The Counter Assault Team and local SWAT team are in Black Suburban's. The tactical looking guys in the black ambulance looking Ford truck are a special Chemical, Nuclear, and Biological response team. The back of that truck isn't filled with people but with tools and supply's for this mission.
