The line splicing was my favorite so far. Aldaris' surprising levels of chill after being assassinated by Zeratul, Zeratul and Duke having a rivalry, and then Fenix just offering to help at the end with complete innocence.
"If there are still TEHRUN! on this world, then they msut surely know of our arrival. Aldaris OW!-" My theory here is that he stubbed his toe as he disconnected his terminal XD
The dialogue splicing is so amazing. "Aldaris out!" That line was really funny. Lockdown is such a fun and balanced ability for Terran. For the Protoss here it's painful.
Thematically, I like the Toss being bad at cloaking/detecting cloaking. Story wise they threw away the Dark Templar who became the cloaked units. MECHANICALLY, 400 gas is INSANE for detection.
I do love me that Zeratul smack talk about bearing witness to the entropy of entire realities, but Duke cutting him off like that was freaking hilarious
Now that I think about it… Brood War really did have a ton of buildings just for almost every tier 2+ unit. We got one specifically for the Science Vessel, Ghosts, BCs, GOLIATHS (wtf), Observers, Templars, Reavers, Carriers, Arbiters and practically every zerg unit. It’s insane how many buildings were for just one unit.
Its not only at t2, even in tier 1 you need academy for firebat/medic, cybernetics core for dragoon and hydra nest for well hydras In sc1 pretty much every building unlocks a singular unit even the production ones with a few exceptions in the units introduced in brood war which were added into existent buildings
Templar Archives let's you get 2-4 units depending on how you look at the Archons. And for Zerg it makes sense and is still basically how it works in SC2 because all their production comes from the same building.
Playing SC1 as a kid, I always thought that since Robo allowed the production of Shuttles without any additional prerequisite, the Observatory was there for the enemy to confirm whether Photon Cannons are going to be only source of detection they'd have to contend with or not. It's always been a must-have in PvT and PvP, but generally, due to how ridiculously expensive both Obs upgrades are, you'd generally only research the Gravitic Booster to keep up with your Goons and skip the Sensors.
It's such a simple but brilliant fix that the ion cannon island was made a different color so that the defenders remain on the island compared to the original where red and white dropship the defenders over to protect their main bases if they get attacked.
Really Nice, will be eager to see the 2nd one. Also have you see the SCBW project "Reign of the Void"?? i just played it and was interesting, is a remake of the WC3 cmaping but with SCBW factions, some things were cool others hard and other kinda be better but liked it a lot, :D
This looks like fun! My last playthrough was the UEDAIP mod...it's wild seeing this map cleared in 20 minutes after that. Do you plan on finishing your playthrough sometime? It'd be pretty cool to see how you approach it!
@@Saren-yc1rk 1: It is a joke... 2: That is the whole freaking point, he "complained" that the cost to get even access to observers were freaking high, but buy enough of them and that starting cost become practically nothing compared to what you spend on them (also the actual unit cost is the same in SC2 so clearly that unit cost itself isn't that outrageous)
I alwaysfelt that the Citadel of Aduin was the most usless building. It was always annoyed me that youHAVE tobuild it to get a Templar Archive, as the building does nothing else.
There is of course Zealot speed upgrade which is essential but yes I totally agree. Much more underwhelming than observers having its own tech building.
I personally believe that every unit in the game should have it's own tech structure. If you wan zealots you need a gateway and the zelot tech structure. Same with probes, just a nexus won't do. I hope you could tell that this was a joke.
Hey Grant! Dunno if you'll see this, but have you ever tried the Enslavers campaigns? Both are free to download semi canon questlines that *will* mess you up
I watch these videos every day but never hit like or comment, I am doing so today to reward Grant shilling since I am in favour of him having money! @Grant you make great content for us every day and I have to watch ads anyway to see it so if you want to remind me that Raid: Shadow Legends exists and pretend that you play it for several thousand dollars I will happily skip that video section so you can pay rent! :D
This mission and The Big Push always felt too similar to me. The layout is very similar with the enemy and your base locations. Also doesnt help is they are both the Battlecruiser mission as well.
Hi man i watched a lot of your vids but i can't find it in the playlists wings of liberty zerg edition. Or i just blind, can u please give link if you have it?
I think the video description might've been meant for a different video? This video did get a little chaotic, but there was no Tassadar (RIP) and Grant wasn't gas blocked. Unless maybe it's one of those things where you do a nonsense video description to see if anyone is even paying attention. And in that case, I win. Where do I collect my prize money?

Duke sounds like he's having a mental episode.

Aldaris OUT
It almost feels like Fenix just impatiently made that declaration so he could get the zoom meeting back on track before his lunch break
Every time I hear a Lockdown sound effect, I feel a small piece of me dying.
and every time we touch, i swear i can fly
- How did you survived the Gantrithor charge?
- I step aside…
Gotta love this mission.
*Nuclear Launch Detected*
Grant: "This is fine"
The dialogue splicing is so amazing. "Aldaris out!" That line was really funny.
Lockdown is such a fun and balanced ability for Terran. For the Protoss here it's painful.

protoss: "doesn't get mobile detection until basically full tech"
Terrans need like tier 4 so...

Duke interaction with Zeratul was priceless. x)
Thanks for yelling! ^^
I love that Duke just cuts off Zeratul.

Ridiculous, Grant, ridiculous.
A good end to a fascinating mod! The voice splicing on this one's intro was truly 10/10.
Definitely the point where you can really tell the guy is having fun with the spliced lines. Absolutely to their benefit.
I love the mission briefings and dialogues in this campaign! The modder put in a lot of effort into the splicing and writing, and it shows.
The map maker had way too much fun with these briefings "Aldaris Out!" LMFAO
I love that these videos drop right as I’m going to sleep so it can put them on and relax

Aldaris redemption arc begins? *Impossible!*
The judicator has gone quite mad!
"Don't worry, Corsair Grant is not real"
3:50 - It is a good base to mine!
The Line Splicing in this Mod was excellent. Definetly a Highlight of the Mod haha :D
When you hate lockdown so much you hallucinate medics in base SC1
he's allowed dark archons so he's allowed medics too;)
"AlDARIS oUT"
XD
As the famous quote from SC1 goes
"Aldaris out"
It is strangely frustrating to watch you fill your base with pylons and not claim map area with photon cannons.
And blocking that mineral field with his cybernetics core. His base building is something else :Þ
I feel like you really gotta go zealot archone templar with all these lockdowns so many full energy ghosts all over the map lmao
The observatory should give all Pylons detect and maybe a slight vision range increase to be worth the cost
I love how Grant just call gas and minerals dollars 😂😂😂😂😂
Destroy the Giant Ion Cannon? But why should Grant destroy his own Ion Cannon?!?
love this mod, hope we get to see more!
The splicing for this one was so bad in the best way. “Aldaris OUT!” and “You damn PROTOSS! are all alike…”really got me laughing.
please keep up the StarCraft 1 content
i love the splicing, i hope there is more
A perfect way to start a morning
Thank you Grant ;b
"Old man yells at observer"
Well, as long as lockdown isn't ridiculous
15:31 build your shilled battery, playa
What they're gonna do with the chrysalis for the Zerg/Terran campaign is gonna be hilarious, I can tell.
the title would've been really fitting about 4 years ago
Back in the ancient history when they designed the game, and thus also the observatory, "balance" wasn't really an estabilished concept. ;-)
"Duke getting outflexed by Zeratul"
.....I will assume this was a hostile response, have a good day!
It's such a simple but brilliant fix that the ion cannon island was made a different color so that the defenders remain on the island compared to the original where red and white dropship the defenders over to protect their main bases if they get attacked.
are there more campaigns with this mod? love these videos
R.I.P. spine crawler family 🙏🙏😔😛
Observers should be built from Nexus but cloaking them should require a separate building and upgrade.
It turns out ramming the queen with is big boat wasn't enough to finish her

the collosus pit, but its observers is so messed up, conisidering zerg get detection for free
Terran campaign is about taking revenge on the Protoss by destroying Aiur, and the Zerg campaign is... Kerrigan taking over the swarm?
This looks like fun! My last playthrough was the UEDAIP mod...it's wild seeing this map cleared in 20 minutes after that. Do you plan on finishing your playthrough sometime? It'd be pretty cool to see how you approach it!
Just get 200 observers and the initial building cost will be almost nothing per observer :D
Each observer is still 25\75
And 75 gas for such a unit is quite a lot

Have you ever played Divinity: Dragon Commander?
I wonder what your thoughts on it as an RTS are as well as just in general as a game.
is there a race swapped version of both the zerg & protoss campaigns? also have you done taurus a war story?
Lockdown, the most balanced unit ability ever.
Maybe if the observatory had a scanner sweep like a comsat it could be justified but yeah the observatory is a super dumb building
Wait, so if the Protoss are the Terrans now, does that mean the Terrans are the Zerg? Are we gonna get Robot Tassadar?

I don't believe he has uploaded that to the archives if he has played it. He has done LotV zerg, but not WoL afaik.
Sorry to be nitpicking, but the Psionic Yell campaign is playlisted backwards.
