Yes Dan ... you've got to BOOGIE down on your BOX. I composed that Boogie some 40 yrs. ago. Just today I recorded a NEW Boogie Woogie, for my NEW SERIES ... it will be on UA-cam tomorrow. After all these yrs. I decided to compose again ...
As others here have already mentioned. You are great at the accordion, obviously, but your Liberace style of warmth and approachability are such a breath of fresh air. Thank you, Smilin' Accordion Jack. :)
Rainforest ... your comment is very much appreciated ... and a breath of fresh air for me. When I began this series I not only wanted to showcase the accordion, but also try to bring my "live audience" performance style into the practice room ... without the audience ! Reading the words "warmth" and "approachability" hit the spot. Thank you. Keep Smilin' ... SJ
@@SmilinJackAccordion If you dare... I have a feeling you will find some parts, if not all, enjoyable... Make sure to watch till the end. Of course it has an accordion in it! ua-cam.com/video/UZzYxGZ7Hmc/v-deo.html

Is that a free bass accordion or not because his bass playing he was using a chromatic bass meaning an extra 60 buttons that sound similar to his treble keys .
Hi Roman ... the accordion is a standard Stradella system. When I purchased it ... it replaced a "convertible" accordion that became free bass with the flip of a switch. I played that convertible for 40 yrs. This accordion has a special switch that gives me a good deep bass ... but not free bass. Thanks for viewing and commenting.

Jack, thanks for the note yesterday - a quick one - what scale are you using on the RH, I'm guessing it might be the blues scale - Can you give me some insight. I did slow down the video, it's better, but still a bit hard to see where your fingers end up. Stuggling along.
... years ago I met a woman who lived in Liberace's neighborhood in Milwaukee and she was friendly with the family. She said to me after a performance ... "you know, you actually look more like Liberace's little brother Rudy." I've seen a few photos of Rudy and I think she's correct. I purchased this accordion new around 7 yrs ago and the first thing I noticed was the weight ... it's 28 lbs and about 7 lbs lighter than the accordion I had been using since 1975.
