    I made the sticks I used in the video by tightly rolling and shaping a piece of paper. To see how you can easily make them yourself, check out this video: [ua-cam.com/video/ZLFX7tknVjE/v-deo.html]. You can do it effortlessly too!☺

    Did you tie a knot at one end before you started? Wish you'd use words to explain some of what you're doing, like what needle size you're using, what size the difference flowers end up, etc.

    • @ankaila
      @ankaila  6 днів тому

      I don't tie a knot when I start making the flower. I believe I show the process in quite a detailed and slow manner, but it seems there are still some unclear parts. If you’d like, you can change UA-cam's playback speed settings to slow it down and see how I do it more clearly.

    Very lovely work , I appreciate your work very much.
    Can you please tell me how you are separating the threads to create the petals
    I keep getting one petal I want 5

    • @ankaila
      @ankaila  9 днів тому

      Hello, thank you so much for your kind words. I tried to show it slowly in the video, but it seems it wasn’t clear enough. Here’s how it works:
      After completing one petal, I slide the thread attached to the needle down, wrap it around the two paper sticks, and bring it back up to the same point. This wrapping step allows for a gap between the petals, keeping them separate. For a new petal, I take the other thread in my hand and continue wrapping it around the paper sticks and needle.
      If you’d like, you can closely follow the steps I take at the end of each petal. Perhaps the technique I use to create wide petals caused some confusion. To make the petals wider, I skip sliding the thread down and keep wrapping it continuously. This creates connected petals that come together to form larger flower petals.
      I hope this explanation makes sense and that you can create them easily. Best of luck!🌸❤️

      In other videos they showed marking graph paper or you could make your own. Then wrap around something like a q tip you cut off. Others show straws. Or maybe a wooden dowel. So does that help?

      Hello! In the video, the sticks I used to make the flowers were made from paper cut from a notebook. I made them myself, and you can easily do it too! I’ve created a video showing how to make them-here’s the link: ua-cam.com/video/ZLFX7tknVjE/v-deo.html. You can adjust the thickness and length of the sticks based on the size of the flowers you want to create. I hope you find it helpful!

      Hello, thank you so much for sharing your knowledge to help others! These sticks can actually be made very easily by rolling paper. In case you missed it, I have a video on my channel showing how I make them: ua-cam.com/video/ZLFX7tknVjE/v-deo.html. Preparing the sticks in the sizes we need makes it much easier to create flowers of different sizes. This way, we don’t need to bother with tools like cotton swabs or knitting needles. Thank you for your interest! I think I should share this video link more visibly. 😊

      Hello! Thank you so much for your lovely message and support. 😊 The amount of thread I use varies depending on the flower model. If you use 3 strands of 6-strand embroidery floss, I can say that you’ll need approximately 2.5 to 3 meters of thread. If the thread is thicker, you’ll need to reduce the number of wraps accordingly.
      Here’s my method for estimating thread usage: without using a needle, I wrap enough thread around the paper sticks to make the entire flower. I also add a little extra for the small knots. Then, I unravel the wrapped thread and create the flower by making knots with the needle. This method usually works well, and the thread is sufficient.
      For first attempts, if you don’t make the knots too tight, you can easily undo the flower and reuse the thread if it doesn’t turn out as expected. Wishing you good luck and happy embroidering! 🌸✨

    What are your various needle sizes please.🙂

    • @ankaila
      @ankaila  9 днів тому

      Hello! The needles I use are the type commonly used in Brazilian embroidery or for the cast-on stitch technique. They are slim-shaft needles, approximately 7-8 cm in length. There are many varieties of long needles available in the market, but as I mentioned, it’s crucial to choose ones with a slim shaft, meaning the eye of the needle should not be too thick. This is very important so that the needle can pass smoothly through the wraps of thread wound around it.
      If you don’t have a suitable needle, try not to wrap the thread too tightly around the needle. Leaving the wraps slightly loose will make it easier for both the needle and thread to pass through. 😊

      Hello, the designs are quite simple, so I didn’t feel the need to share the pattern. After seeing your message, I decided to at least create a simple pattern for this embroidery. Here is the link:

      This will be my first time sharing a pattern, and I would love to know if it’s helpful to you. Thank you for your interest!
