I've only seen two interviews on this channel and I gotta say I'm in awe of how Abby Martin holds space for her guests. It's something I haven't seen done anywhere else to this capacity. Seldowitz ominously threatened the vendor with dire consequences from the Egyptian intelligence service, including potential harm and torture to the man's father in Egypt.

Things happening in Palestina are horrendous
That's what the Romans named the Holy Land after they kicked out all the Jews 2000 years ago. 700 years later the Muslim Arabs came roaring out of the desert and conquered the Holy Land & colonized it. A few centuries later the Christians retook the area from the Muslim Arabs and held onto it for over 100 years before the Arabs reconquered it. Then centuries later when the Islamic Caliphate (Ottoman Empire) fell the British took control of the Holy Land and gave it back to the original owners the Jews who renamed it Israel. The Islamic world exploded at this and Muslim Arab nations tried to reconquer the Holy Land again & again but were repelled by the Jewish Israelis.

My father was used to go the eastern Mediterannean area for work when I was a kid (70's) and I remember he told me how beautiful Lebanon was. After the US had to support the aggression of Israel in the early 80's and destroyed this beautiful Country, both Israel and the USA have financed the confusion that has followed over the following years until today. Before the western world polluted the Middle-East and Northern African countries in general, there was no problem at all for Muslims to live in peace with all other religions and cultures in their Countries. Shit has been brought by the westerns. I'm western and am ashamed.
