@@sturmgeschutzlll4246 So far okay, except on the plastic buckles. I did the same with a sling for my one AR and again, it doesn't stick to the plastic much, but the rest is fine after a years worth of wear.
@@qanlik Yeah, that just gets into a lot work with all the latches and what have you. I just did some mag pouches to match my plate carrier and they came out okay. Thanks.
Works great for me. I use Rustoleum also and either freehand it or with stencils. For guns, knives and similar gear, I use KG Gunkote for hard use items and the rattle can for light use or if it doesn't matter if it wears and gets scratched. The rattle can is definately the cheapest way to go. You can also use Ritt made for synthetics. I have had good results with it also, especially on the ACU pattern. It is permenant and doesn't add weight or stiffen the fabric. It works very well for darkening but won't lighten
An additional benefit to painting your ruck is that when you forget that it's in your car/truck and some sketchy left-leaning cuck is perusing the 5-finger discount aisle and sees your "poorman POS" home-painted kit, he'll think, "Bruh, this dude MUST be way worse-off than me, look at his crap ruck, it ain't even worth stealing!"
I’ve been looking at the rit dye jobs on ACU and it comes out awesome I like paint too especially on ACU but the synthetic RIT DYE “chocolate brown” looks incredible
That is actually one of my home recordings if you listen to it on bigger speakers you can hear the room echo I’ve used a lot of music on this channel most of it other people but this is one of mine
@@missourisurvivalandoutdoor9547 how does your mix work? I know a lot of people that prefer to use real amps with real pedals and they record themselves with a mic connected to the interface. I prefer using plugins on the computer itself, less of a head ache for me.
I used the same type of paint for my gear (that was completely black, and is now a multicam variant suited to my area), it's not flaked at all, except for the plastic pieces which rub because of the nylon webbing.
I did the same thing with a Condor chest rig that I got in that funky camo. It came out just fine.
How’s it holding up? I’m thinking of doing something similar.

@@olderiverhardgoods Maybe if you lightly sand the plastic parts, it will stick better. I'll test this out on an FLC that I'm painting up

I subscribed because of your intro metal !!! Keep on rockin bro !!!
I try to throw some sort of good riff from a song in the intro when I make a new video
Those Fieldline Tactical bags are actually pretty nice bags. i have used one for years in the woods and for travel and its held up great
I did that in school 😂 a pink backpack from my sister became a black backpack
If it’s stupid but it works it’s not stupid 😂

That’s true some people gotta have sleek new crap and won’t even bother ugly kit but honestly that stuff works better in the woods
Yup, I made off brand yeti looking coolers and uglied the hell out of them with duct tape and spray paint. Nasty looking. No one even walks near em
I like it, thanks for the video.
I have a fishing vest.
Which i want that in white...
🤣
I'd spend $5 on Rit Dymore and dye that bad boy. Paint always leaves that tacky feel
Rit Dyed cheap nylon still glows under NVG’s. Paint mitigates the glow.
Glad there’s more people that say free 99
I have an old army iotv that I wanted to refinish lol
Is it in ACU?

Hello, that paint fades with sweat, it can be washed, thank you
I’ve had painted gear soaked in sweat and rained on ect multiple times and it hasn’t changed it at all
will spraypaint flake off and crumble everywherr?
It hasn’t so far and it’s been a while
@@missourisurvivalandoutdoor9547 good to know. Thanks 👍🏼
If you lay it in a little heavy it sort of soaks in and stains so it'll be a long time till it comes off
