That was exciting to watch! Never seen such a beautiful rose gold piece
Same! And I'm so glad you enjoyed this one James ❤️
Look amazing, the best aviator that i've ever seen
I agree. I'd love to wear these myself
Love the glasses, very elegant and sober; so classy!!!
I found your channel recently and really like the content, have learned a lot and I am looking forward to keep learning more. Thanks for sharing all this knowledge. It shows you enjoy it and so do we as viewers.
I love making these videos. Really glad you're enjoying them
This channel helped choose my first pair of cartiers 😎😎😎good job
Awesome! And glad I contributed
Omg wow they are lush. My next ones I would love aviator sunglasses
Just spectacular aren't they?
I love them. The lens and frame perfect harmony👌 Understated and cool 😎
But your prescription brown photo-fusion and ruby finish is the best practical regular-use alternative. Definitely 👍
I wonder how long b4 they go? Really exciting unboxing experience 👍👍
Thanks Robert! I'm hoping no-one buys them as I want them 😂 and I remembered that Hoya have a lens which looks exactly like this so I'll definitely be ordering those lenses for this frame! They are Sensity Shine Brown and they have a lovely rose gold finish.
Keep your eyes peeled 👀 for my reply to your email in the next few days as we have a rimless version of this frame which I'll be recommending 😉
Was never into gold until everything became exciting and temptuous 😂😍
Same!!
solid gold wow exclusive cartier
💯
They’re undoubtedly of a supreme quality. But they’re almost indistinguishable from dollar store sunglasses to most people because it’s the most ubiquitous knock-off design around, thin frames and all. Some may hate that I said it, but it’s true.
It's looking nice
Is it possible to get replacement lenses for these if you scratch them? and would you be willing to make a video on the white gold louis cartier precious sunglasses? Great video overall thanks for the work guys
What's the name of the watch you wearing looks pretty neat?? GREATT VIDEO AS ALWAYS!! :D
We need more and more reviews about Cartier..this brand worth more and more.plz .. thank you
No problem. I hope you'll consider ordering your Cartier's from us
Prices .. u don’t talk about it yet in all ur reviews!!
I was always asking how come Cartier never made a solid Gold eyewear 👓 & finally here it is & I like it 😎
We have a rimless version too
I guess because the price... very few people want to spend $8,000 on sunglasses...
Wow. I❤️ it.
Me too ❤️ one of the most incredible products I've been able to review
Gotta get um!!!
Email me if you want a pair, we stock them! - hello@thespectaclefactory.com

Is anti glare and anti reflective coating are the same or not! should I apply anti glare and anti reflective coating in both sides or just in inside part for sunglasses! Is dust and water repellent is a coating or natural attributes of polycarbonate lens! Please reply, it will help me a lot
They are kind of the same. Anti-reflection stops reflections off the lens surface, which in turn reduces glare into the eyes. BUT it's important to know that lenses with anti-reflection do not reduce glare from the outer environment, only reflections that would have been caused by the lenses themselves.
Polycarbonate doesn't inherently have dust or water repellence. You need a coating for that.
I never recommend polycarbonate lenses - see my video about lens materials.
With sunglasses, You definitely want anti-reflection on the back surface. Whether you want it on the front is up to you. Having it on the front means others can see your eyes more easily and it makes them perform better in lower light. Not having it obscures your eyes and makes them a tiny bit more protective in bright weather.
@@thespectaclefactory thank you so much
🔥🔥🔥🔥
💯
I want ur glasses with the bleu frame….for my prescription lunettes. Do they have for women … please i would appreciate the brand & model Thank you Sir
Thank you. They are the Reykjavik Eyes Rikhard, and we've made them for customers all over the world. Yes, there are feminine styles too. If you'd like a pair, email adam@thespectaclefactory.com
If I'm buying these, I'm definitely making the most of them as a pair of regular-use glasses? Would you? Or would you keep them away for special occasions? Let me know 👇
Although with Cartier, it's best to stay away from Detroit, especially the ghetto areas of Detroit if you're going to wear those glasses.
Regular use glasses
Melt them down for the gold
I'd daily the 18k solid gold Cartier Sunglasses w/ a 18k sold gold Rolex Day Date
@@jameswashington4984 Same
I’d rather have a titanium frame with more practical lenses. I don’t understand how using a heavy and soft material like gold is a good idea. They’re beautiful. But they’re also not an exceptionally unique design and they’ll definitely be scratched unbelievably easily. Still, I find the human fascination with consumerist luxury brands an interesting phenomenon. Your excitement is extremely obvious. I’m glad you had fun doing this video. :)
I definitely get your perspective. There's no logical justification for the value of these glasses. But they are beautiful all the same. And an aviator style whilst simple is still iconic. Titanium would be far more practical. But the person who owns these probably has both
That will just be typically Cartier, if they can make it in gold they will do it.
wowww
I know! 💯
How do you buy them?
We're at? Can't find them on the internet
If you want them, email me via rob@thespectaclefactory.com. I'd love to help you get a pair 👍
What’s the model
What’s the price
These would get you killed before you even stepped off the plane to Detroit...pure drip as younger viewers might say! You have to be bold to wear all gold glasses like this, for me they're arguably too ostentatious....but if I had £10k lying around going spare, who knows?! 🤑
I'm surprised we've not been robbed if I'm being honest 😅
Beautiful sunglasses, but I think something that's solid gold would weigh too much to be comfortable. Probably why it has larger nosepads to help distribute the weight? then again im only speculating. Beautiful peice of art.
Honestly, it's not that heavy except for the lenses. But you could definitely fit lighter lenses to them.
In excess of $8000... Holy fucking shit... 🤣
One day man... ONE day... 😎

I love how he wears gloves to handle the glasses, but then ears them on his face. Seriously?
So you don't want to see how they look on someone? Also, my face doesn't leave fingerprints

Can I ask price??
about £7,000
Thanks..bro
You are a great unboxer! Throughly enjoy your channel! I collect Cartier Jewelry and never thought about their glasses until you showed up. I have an appointment with my sales associate tomorrow to get some glasses ! Thx!
Rate??
About $8000 USD
inove good staff
Love the glasses. However i would not want them on my face. Do not want to worry about someone trying to rob me .
Fair point
The trinity Cartier are rose gold
They aren't! Not in the eyewear
Somewhere in Dubai would not look too posh I believe
True! They'd be at home in Dubai
Ultra thin rose gold. Looks awesome but i would be afraid that rose gold would be too soft on the long run.
You definitely have to look after them
I rather have the rayban solid gold 10 times less pricey 3500$ at the most
But it's Ray Ban though? Please don't spend $3500 on Ray Bans
$8 000
Indeed!
order how look in my fase
In Cartier for $1,500
Well, let's be honest, Cartier always had some hint of understatement, but this... they look beyond ridiculous. The only type of people that would actually wear them are the rap singes with their golden chains over neck.
I honestly like them... but I'd probably switch the lenses out, as mentioned.
Am I the only one to find the frames too overwhelming actually, like with the reflection aesthetic its just too bling bling
I get that... with a more subtle lens they would be more wearable
Spoke Arabic تكلم العربية
Those are only half frame sunglasses. They do not have a screw to change the lenses. I am not impressed but rather shocked about the thin temples which easily should bend.
Don't sit accidentally on those shades - 8000+ $ out of the window.
They are unique but for use way to fragile and not exceptional beauty.
Looks like they do not even have springed hinges.
I prefer the classics with thicker sturdier temples and an stainless steel frame.
Looks like they are not even polarized. I hope they are at least UV400 certified. The antireflective on the back of the lenses make sense. Nobody really will use these in daily life.
Yes the classic aviator style is timeless and I wear that style as well dialy. Just I went for the Privé Revaux brand which is an 15$ brand on eBay. Plastic polycarbonate lenses, anti reflective from inside, UV 400, polarized and cratch resistant from the front side. They actually work. They still block all UV of my UV 365 nm lamp and their polarization works wonderfull. I allways get the brown gradient ones. The brown colour is y far the best. Awesome shades these aviator styles. That style blocks by far best the entire eye. The navigators have to much gap where the sun can snwak through. Just go for the aviator classics in brown.
One of my PR aviator style in brown came as well with partially popped out lenses but they where easy to pop back in. Another pair (I have several of this model in brown since the frame is stainless steel and they lend as well for prescription glasses frames) had an soldering nick on the bridge which was visible but the seller replaced me that sunshade. QC is a bit off but the lenses actually do what they promise. The lenses are scratch resistant, do 100% block UV (at least non light is visible on the UV security strip of an money bill when I shine through the lenses with an 365 nm UV light), are really polarized, are from Polycarbonate and have on the inside an blue antireflective coating. The frame is stainless steel and the painting is very tough so the frame can be reused as prescription frame for glasses.
I used these as an work tool and not for "red carpet" stylish BS. These aviators from PR hold up well on farm work.
I'll try to go through this point by point:
If the temples were thicker they would be too extravagant. Of course anyone buying these should treat them like the delicate jewellery that they are.
The beauty is not so much in the style itself but the material.
Spring hinges always make a frame worse. There are almost no luxury frames with spring hinges. If you find a spring hinge, then that is one of the best ways to identify a bad frame.
Polarised is not always better. I prefer non-polarised, generally.
I'm sure your $15 glasses from eBay are great 🙄
@@thespectaclefactory Yes I thought as well spring hinges are prone to failure. But my Rodenstocks from teenage are going strong regards the hinges (they are a bit small now but I could use that recipe still in a pinch). I am a proponent of not allways using the prescription glasses in order to get the eyes not used only to that. Prescription glasses I only use on computer not in daily life on the farm. Outside I use the sunglasses due to the insane UV rays we have here on recommendation of the eye doctor. I got itchy eyes when sitting on the tractor and it ended up being most likely an overdose on UV rays as it never happened any more since I use these Prive Revaux sunglasses. Chinese knock off Ray Ban aviators have not hinged temples and those piece of shit allmost immediatelly have wobbly temples. As well I ordered a few pairs of Polaroid sunglasses which had not flexible temples neighter and those I feel loose tension quick and are allmost of lower quality as these Prive Revaux. The Polaroid are not recommendable in the green version and the black ones are to dark. The Polaroids where polarized as well but had no anti reflective coating from inside and the green polarization did not work well enough for bright sunshine at most of the year 100 degrees Farenheit in the shade. Brown is the way to go an for this environment polarization is mandatory. I can see in cloudy rainy UK it's not good to have polarization or to dark lenses. I never will use anything else than brown tint. I am in Latinamerica though.
Well i think they just look like ray ban diamond hard avaiator model i used to have Cartier vendome santos model which looks way better than this model.
🤔😁🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
??
hey what size are these
Hey! They are a 60mm lens, with 16mm distance between the lenses and 140mm length solid gold temples.
I'd say they'd fit medium to very large faces - oversized on medium, average on large, and small on a very large face.
