Great catch with a double header you don't see that much on the Roadrailers.
Looks like the Norfolk Southern had a change of heart and reinstated the Roadrailer train!
They never ended the Detroit to Kansas City service. That's the only route NS still offers Triple Crown.
I Used To Pull Roadrailers For Triple Crown. A Dispatcher Once Told Me A RR'r Train Could Leave Chicago And Be In Atlanta In 8 Hrs. Is This True?
More less so long as the train can maintain speed and doesn't need to stop for something. They basically maintaining an 80-85 mph the whole way.Passengers trains were even faster, the old Illinois Central timetable call being there within 7.
Not true, especially with how slow NS runs now.
I Taught It No Longer Exist. But I Find Out It Still & Extremely Rare Nowadays
Nice Catches, I have a video coming up with a WB Roadrailer with the same power of your July 18th #256
Was it a late shot? Catching these things were difficult with the way the roads and tracks differed
@@fallingup90 Yeah, the train was late. I got it about 10:30am
counted 110
Great video man!

Yes, they still run currently.
The Detroit to Kansas City trains still runs. It's the only route NS still offers Triple Crown on.
