I was 16 when this aired on tv..we were stoked ! 😁... I was traveling from Ft Lauderdale to Memphis in '74 and took a side trip to see Stevie in Atlanta...🎶💚🎶... For another compilation with Stevie listen to 💥... Ebony and Ivory... Stevie Wonder & Paul McCartney... beautiful !... 🌿🌿🌿
I'm so glad you enjoyed this medley between Stevie and Tom here's another with Tom Jones and Ray Charles, if interested "Tom Jones & Ray Charles - This Is Tom Jones TV Show 1970" --Tom Jones has been known for collaborating with black artists throughout his career. In an interview with the BBC. He once said (and I'm paraphrasing here) that he was inspired by black music and that he wanted to pay tribute to the artists that influenced him. He also mentioned that he faced some resistance from the US TV network ABC, who were unhappy with his support of black artists. I really enjoy your channel AB and we appreciate the fact that you provide content everyday. take care and peace out~
Several many moments like this on tv when I was growing up. Variety shows were the real deal and we got to see All of our favorite celebs. singing dancing and in skits. Every night of the week there was a great show like this.....Sonny and Cher, Ed Sullivan, Dinah Shore, Tom Jones, Sinatra, Dean Martin, Andy Williams, Perry Como, the Tonight Show with Johnny Carson......so much great tv in the evening. Kicked back and got entertained. Too bad that era is gone.
I listen to this song every day. What a performance. There is a story to this song. I love this song; Exactly moments like that, true that it is lacking but I don't think that today we can reach such a level. This rhythm and change of pace is incredible. In addition, there is the time and there was a real friendship since it was the legendary Tom Jones show. In addition, Tom really liked the black American voice which is really an exception in the song. All his life, Tom searched to see if he had black roots. Being English, white parents, his golden complexion and his well-curled hair made him wonder . We can find this article there. 2015))))))). In short, two legends. We can no longer have what we lost. A time of too much emotion that goes beyond understanding.
I grew up watching variety shows like this with my family. You would get to see so many different artists in duets with each other it was "outasigght!!" Check out some of Cher's guests on her show. She teamed up with I believe Tina Turner. They were actually good friends. Thanks for this reaction. I loved seeing Tom and Stevie together. They sounded fantastic! ❤❤
We need more moments like this in music, but in current times we need more moments like this in life! I was born in 1971, these were moments I grew up on, I am really 😔, they don't exist anymore. Fresh Prince, Carlton, lol, enough said😂😂😂😂
Tom Jones had his own show. On one segment he sang Mr.Bojangles as Sammy Davis Jr. acted the Mr.Bojangles scenario. See if you can find it and post it. Thanks.
Hey guy we pay all this money for TV liecence nd we can watch game shows which is aload crap they should putting shows like Sir Tom Jones back on give us something back for our money at the moment it's pure crap on...the bbc is taking the piss.

Master class in collaboration 👏 🙌
Another amazing variety show collab was Cyndi Lauper on Patti LaBelle's show. They had so much fun singing together. I wish for more of these.
Wow! Thank you!
My favourite Stevie Wonder song. There is a place in the sun

This was when the popular artists really had talent, not producers that knew how to make money off marginally talented people with auto tune.
Do a reaction to Esther and Ezekiel, you'll love them
