Today, games on Facebook are nothing like they once were. So what went wrong? What stopped Facebook's momentum, and kept them from being a dominant force in gaming?

Masterworks is a scam.
Yeah masterworks is a scam
Happy that you have sponsor but I do not trust any sponsors in regards of investment tips.
*Masterworks is a scam.*
The masterworks segue is jarring and undermines the sincerity of your video. I get that you want to make money, but maybe find a more appropriate sponsor next time.
bring back the indie spotlight at the end plz
I just saw this video and was so surprised to see you are at 101k subs. I genuinely thought you were in the 7 figure subscriber range! Such a great channel! Can't wait to see you amass more play buttons!
Agree
This dude has been making quality content like this since the beginning, i remember saying the same thing when he was under 15k subs
Master works a scam probably.
Did you ever play a game on Facebook?
no way
Never even once
I used to play a shit ton of facebook games on my primary school after lunch because of my diet constrains I had with gluten and lactose.
Yeah, I had like 13 different games. I like jumping from game to game.
Restaurant City, baby.
Wild Ones was such a fun Facebook game
Not sure casual gamers can transition to VR... There is a big difference between popping into your farm for 5 minutes to water your crops between meetings at work, and putting on a massive, cumbersome, $1000 gaming headset. Until VR is like a sci-fi movie where it fits on your glasses or a contact lens, it will never be stomach able to the average person.
This is already happening
Nice, but I really think the bar to entry plus the bulk of headsets needs to come WAY down before "casual vr games" can really be a thing and hit mass market. Your formerly Farmville playing grannies wouldn't wear some bulky headset to do this, but when we can have VR/AR wearables that are just like glasses or goggles, I think we may see that be a thing. Apple Vision Pro is going that way, but still way too expensive and heavy.
vids are good quality but i wish they were
abt indie games more of the time, keep it up!
Yoooooo congrats to 100k. That's a big achievement. Also nice stache bro
Quality of your videos is amazing. I wish you develop bigger viewership soon. All the best :)
Dungeon rampage was my favorite game. Social wars and empires too. Rip that games
Damn I didn't realized I missed the classic farm ville this much
Oh my god Infinity Blade! The best phone game I have ever played in my entire life.
Really loved these zynga games, they were really good games during its time made by passionate game developers, Although I wasn’t on facebook while playing them! Those games were actually fun and relaxing, compared to new mobile games which are just downright scams, and shove you with microtransactions!
Great job!
The first time I tried molly was at a facebook gaming pax after party. good times
yep this thumbnail is much much better i dont know what was you thinking with the previous one
I loved Farmville .it is the reason I love indie type games
it's back
restaurant city was peak fb gaming for me
I also didn't know Facebook still had games. I'm kinda surprised Meta is still chugging along despite such a massive string of expensive failures.
I still remember Will Ones. For me the best Facebook game.
Criminal Case was my favorite
Yoo, you brought memories
Did they ever have a rise?
pray you get bigger
that's what she said
Left a like for the mustache
Ahh facebook games, played for a while then straight up quitted becoz I wanted much better browser game experiences.
Oh yeah speaking of experiences u should cover the flash games space next asap.
Farmville was great, but city ville was the goat
It's a success tho. Games improved, so people moved to what's best, but, not gonna lie, the Facebook games era served us happiness and fun.
Millionaire city 😭
Miss the time mobile games weren't just shitty Farmville or candy crush clones, and could be actually fun
anyone who want to cityville to be back we need your cache of your browser if you want to help reply
funny i was just thinking about what the fuck happened to farmville and this popped up 😂
World Before:
World After:
That’s saying that people ever liked facebook
zuck shoulda just bought Zynga instead of investing in stupid vr goggles
I wish you talked about *indie* games instead. That was why I subscribed to you.
Sponsor is sussy
Como ustedes siguieron faltandole el respeto a dios en papá dios puerto rico desde sus dvr les diré la verdad era llo un wanna be que se rresponsabiliso de carolinaaa
It's all about $$$ 😂🤣 Everyday life.
Unsubbed after masterworks. I dont mind you taking the sponshership, but stop shilling, be Honest
how does one take a sponsorship and then ... not shill
Just use sponsors block and stop b*tching
@@kyno2451what is sponsor block
@@kyno2451 Thank you. Got tired of every video now being sponsored too.
Poor babies, how dare youtubers earn money from a skippable 30 second sponsored ad, your quality of life must have took quite a drop from this
FarmVille, CityVille, Zombies Island and CaféWorld were literally my childhood... I will always and forever hate Facebook for killing Zygna's games and Games on Facebook!!!
There is nothing more I want than Zygna either wanting to re-release their games, just like they did with Texas Hold'em. Or that anyone makes it happen. Until then, I'll cry one more last time. 😢🪦💔
