Hey slap people usually press the nitro before the light turns green depending on the duration of you nos but you have to tune your gears because with your current set up you will just blow through the first three gears so just lengthen them to what you need and you'll notice a difference

dude, when you launch it in neutural, you have to floor it not tap it. and do a full burnout for more traction and also when you are in neutural flooring it press the nos at the same time you are flooring it

IDK if this fits on open world category but Street Legal Racing Redline probably fits in category. It combines Car Mechanic Sim, and NFS. Steam version (version 2.3.1) is quite a bargain, but if you want go no budget then download 2.2.1mwm BB93 version (recommended version because mods) and mod it yourself. Mods are plenty for this game and quite easy to make. Minus: *Tends to crash randomly especially when modded, seriously* ; without mods it just not fun (except steam version); and hard to get cash (except steam version).

the 2 cars you were wondering about were both Pontiac GTO's the first one was a late 60's to early 70's, and the other one was an early 2000's. i could be wrong about the first one though, pixel car racer sometimes makes it hard to tell. not to mention i am still not perfect at identifying old cars because some of them look very similar to another
Hey slap, I see you're still struggling a bit with the races. To help, try to hit the NOS as the little stage counter thing (NOT THE ACTUAL LIGHTS) counts down and redline the engine. Be ready to shift quickly when the race starts though, because the car will launch itself though 1st gear very quickly. Let me know if that helps you!

Tip for launching a RWD
1. Switch to neutral after burnout
2. Floor it but don't launch yet
3. Launch by shifting to gear 1
