He does have some math knowledge. He was using some popular high school equations to pretend like he was impressive to the mathematically average Joe Rogan team. Like how he memorized some of the numbers he gave at the end.
But ultimately he's a fool and if he spoke to anyone with the talent stack for math, philosophy, and language. . .or simply someone with a strong grasp of language and debate (with a slight dabble in to philosophy), he would get destroyed very quickly, like how Metatron ripped him apart here. I noticed his language problem immediately. His whole conspiracy theory is based on a false premise. If he's serious about it, it's sad he's gone down such a rabbit hole in his own mind and wasted so much time over nothing.

So then what would be the answer of two of two because if one of then two of two would be two , where am I wrong...
      Because.
2 of is still speaking in a singular term about the double identification. The number two that's the double identification...
It's 2 things being represented by one word a double identification. So if you have two of two you still just have two...
So under the Current multiplication theone of 12 of 23 of three would all equal the number they started with 12 and three...

    • @AntediluvianRomance
      @AntediluvianRomance 7 місяців тому +1

@@Bryanth-996 Well, if you do math with, I dunno, little cards with numbers written on them, 2 of cards with the number 2 will make two cards. But this kind of "multiplication" would deal with entities of different order: one 2 would be a quantity, the other 2 would be a thing. Proper math deals with entities of the same order: both 2s must refer to quantity. So 2*2 would mean 2 of groups containing 2 cards.
Common language, of course, has other ways to put things, and that's why math uses the very strict and defined language of math, and what we get, especially as beginners, are translations. Translations are never perfect.

i haven't looked at any formal definition of 'multiplication', but i've always saw it as a mathematical operation, specifically a shorthand for addition. the multiplicate is the instruction tells us how many times the original number has to be added to itself. and using the multiplication method results in the same outcome as adding method is the proof for my statement that multiplication is simply an addition instruction. eg. 1+1+1+1 = 4, while 1*4 = 4. i called it a shorthand because when you dealing with extremely large numbers, multiplication is significantly faster than adding them. easy to follow with whole numbers but multiplying by fractions... that's an additive instruction to add portions of the whole (fractions) to itself, which is a mind bender.

Compare what "or" means in day-to-day language to what it means in formal logic: "or" is typically used as the formal "exclusive or" (XOR function in programming). Say you want to go to dinner, and you are given the option of pizza or tacos. You're not having both, and both you and the one giving you the choice know that. Something I've noticed is that certain people of, shall we say, lower than average intelligence seem to be unable to delineate between the thing that a given word describes, and the word itself. It seems to be an issue with abstraction.
In cases where the word is inadequate to describe the concept, their inability to understand concept and word as separate entities leads them to see the linguistic issues with the thing's descriptor as issues with the thing itself.
This would seem to flow from that source.

“if you were to have that number by another number that many _times_ what would it be?”

Then he would say: "But technically the potion is part of the chemicals in your digestive system, so it's still a potion..."
This is called "circular reasoning fallacy". And the foundation of "Terryology" is that. As long as the potion exists in ANY form, it's still a potion.

When Terrence says there is no such thing as ZERO, he means there's no such thing as "Nothing" with a big "N."
He says that because "Nothing," as the opposite of "Something," doesn't really exist.
Here's how set theory helps explain it:
    - Imagine "Something" as a set that includes everything that exists, called S{all existence in here}.
    - Imagine "Nothing" as a set that includes the absence of everything, called N{nothing in here}.
In set theory, even sets are things. So, set S{} is a thing, and set N{} is also a thing.
This means that set N{} (Nothing) is actually part of set S{} (Something) because it's a thing.
Now, according to set theory, an opposite set can't be part of the set it's opposing.
But since N{} is part of S{}, it can't really be the opposite of S{}.
This means that "Nothing" is actually a part of "Something" and not its complete opposite.
So, when Terrence says ZERO doesn't exist, he truly is wrong/misunderstanding his own reasoning because ZERO is actually a part of Something.
Since ZERO is defined as set N{} belonging to set S{}, ZERO does exist because it is a thing.
In short, "Nothing" with a big "N" can't oppose "Something," so "Something" exists by default, and "Nothing" doesn't.

As an Asian, this insults me. 😂
Also, in a computer science way, math IS repeated addition as multiply is a recursive functiin. You add the sum of the expression you get when you take the first number and it is added the number of times (also another way to say multiply) represented by the second number . So 2 × 3 means 2 + 2 + 2 as two would appear 3 times. In the case of 2 x 1 ( x1 is the identity function) because it would be just the number itself 2. Multiplication is commutative so it will work the other way too... so 2 x 3 can also be 3 + 3 (3 appewring twice).
This is the result of DEI and common core math.

no need to push a message that clearly doesn't apply here due to Terrence Howard was long out of school when DEI is common place.
neither is your later accusation grounded, since common core math seeks to impart mostly fragmentation method into arithmetic while (to some people) needlessly overcomplicating the process.
yet it is not a fallacious approach. it differs from traditional method merely in its 'complex' approach. it still determines 17 x 6 to be 102. the difference is: it reaches the conclusion by fragmenting 17 x 6 into (10x6)+(7x6). the fact that it reaches the same arithmetic answer as traditional method proves the fallacy in your equivocation...
...an equivocation that is perhaps more suitably connected to your 'math' since 1) you claim "math is repeated addition". WRONG! it is MULTIPLICATION that is repeated addition.
      2) you are repeating how Terrence defines multiplication: what number is added with itself how many times (heck even Howard states that "multiplication is just exaggerated addition in his Oxford address). this means 2 x 3 would be 2 + 2 + 2 + 2 by YOUR definition (pay attention to how many + there are. it hints how much addition have been performed). that is because 2 x 3 is: (in your own words) first number i.e. 2 and it is added the number of times i.e. 3 times. ergo: 2+2 (added ONE time) + 2 (added 2nd time) + 2 (added 3rd time). this produces 2 + 2 + 2 + 2 (count how many 2's been written since "ergo". by your definition: 2x3 = 2+2+2+2 = 8...

yet again we have someone besides howard, demonstrates this is a semantics problem in both case 1) and 2) rather than a math issue. at least howard got it wrong because his definition is wrong. his logic after that is still sound....but how did YOU get 6 despite getting your verbal description of a symbolic equation (aka definition) wrong? if your premise is wrong, your conclusion will always be wrong. unless you failed to follow a logical flow.

Terrance Howard is so smart. Surely he must have breezed through school astonishing his teachers à la the fictional child genius "Mary Adler" from the movie "Gifted," or "Big Bang Theory" "Sheldon Cooper," or Matt Damon's character in "Good Will Hunting" --- or real-life-types like Leonhard Euler, Isaac Newton, or John von Neumann. He must have completed high school by age 12, and got his bachelor's degree at 14, and PhD from MIT or Cal Tech by 16, right? By now, he's probably already been awarded the Fields Medal -- and the Nobel Prize twice. Looks like Terry is modest because we don't see his mentioning any of these accomplishments, and we find nothing online about his vast academic achievements. Yes, he's obviously quite modest --- he has a lot to be modest about. Terry is the quintessential poster boy for the "Dunning-Kruger effect" -- the dumber a person is about a subject, the smarter he thinks he is. He's worth about as much time and effort as it takes for me to hit the "delete" button my keyboard.

If it’s imaginary then it can be whatever I decide it is, and so I imagine it like this: bollox” and the journey down the rabbit hole of delusional misunderstanding is a predictable one that the idiot can no longer see because he’s also under the misapprehension that nobody else ever had this “epiphany” before because when he researched it, there was absolutely no mention of it - a simple mistake for simple people to make. I’ll be referring to this as Terry-shit-a load-of-verbal-diarrhoea-into-an-infinite-loop with a net gain of -1, or, the “nothing positive will ever come from this” non-paradox.

I would explain it to him this way:
Multiplication basically means “How many of these are there?”
So the second 1 in ‘1x1’ denotes how many of the first number (in this case, 1) we have. In other words, 1x1 means: “There is one instance of the number 1.”
Ergo, the answer is simply 1.
1x2, by comparison, is saying: “There are two instances of the number 1.”
    Ergo, the total is 2.
