I witnessed someone flipping a car on Tottenham Court Road, here in London, last year. No idea how they managed to do it. Someone called out, "You can't park it there!"
This person looks like they were exiting the parking garage and vaulted over the light post and flipped the car and it spun back around. Note the driver side front damage.

Most likely a tire vs tire impact. If a car's wheel hits another car's wheel, there's a good chance that the impacting car will flip over.

In 1971, in "Diamonds Are Forever", James Bond was involved in a police chase in the Las Vegas area. Two years later, the 2 major police agencies in the Las Vegas area, the Las Vegas city police and the Clark County sheriffs were abolished and merged into a 3rd agency, the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department. Now all of the police officers in the city of Las Vegas, and on the Las Vegas Strip drive black and white cars.
These guys fight for the I get to drive the cars.

How do you flip a car on a street like this? Answer how does anyone get a driver's license in the past few decades? Yes the answer is a question ❓ but it's all I've got 😮. 30 year Retired wrecker operator I've seen things even Bond would cringe at.

I saw the "Bond in Motion" display when it was in Los Angeles. It was an interesting exhibit. But the magic is created with the movie camera, not with the cars.
One car which was on display supposedly had a bulletproof shield which supposedly raised out of the trunk to protect the rear window of the car's passenger compartment for bullets. But there was no opening in the car's body for the shield to come out of. The filmmakers must have pasted a shield on top of the car's body and photographed it.
Another car was supposedly amphibious--it could drive on the road, and it could sail under water. In the movie, fins came out of the sides of the car, as the car was about to go under water. But the car's body was solid--it had no doors which would raise and let the fins come out. Several cars were used for filming. Some of them apparently had fins pasted to the outside of the car's body.
In The Man with the Golden Gun the corkscrew stunt with the car was done in one take and really cool, but the sound effect they added to the scene of a slide whistle should never have been done.
It is really neat to see how they do the stunts. Sometimes it is movie magic, and sometimes it is the real deal with life and limb on the line.

The Aston from 21:45 is from "Quantum of Solace", not "Quantam of Silence" lol. But to answer the crash thing, it was more than likely a tire v tire impact. Cars can easily roll over in that type of impact.

A car flipped upside down next door to my house, but the driver escaped unharmed. A year or two later, I talked to a Los Angeles firefighter/paramedic. He said that he has seen some small cars flip, where you would think that the occupants would be harmed, but they are fine. And he has seen some large vehicles flip which you would think are sturdy, but the driver dies.

They don't make cars like they used to, heavy steel, not plastic and fiberglass without a solid chassis. Try to flip a 1950s Chrysler Imperial! Even trucks flip now, but gotta have air bags and seat belts to save you from the flimsy construction. A steel bumper hit at 5mph barely gets a dent!
You should type into UA-cam search 1959 Chevrolet Bel Air vs 2009 Chevrolet Malibu IIHS crash test. You will see how one car that by your standards is made of "flimsy construction" performs against a car that has "a steel bumper hit at 5mph barely gets a dent."
That "flimsy construction" is designed to absorb energy and protect the occupants. Sure the new car is totaled but everyone is alive and without live threatening injuries more often.
My dad & sister were forced into a double rollover off a small cliff in a heavy steel car in the 50s. He broke a bone in his back being wrapped around the steering wheel and she was thrown out the window and had a few cuts & a mild concussion landing in grass. No belts, no safety glass. An airbag can kill you, too. I still hate having to wear a seatbelt. 50-50.@@Elska2

Always loved the James Bond movies. Siblings and I watched these Bond movies renting them on VHS back in the mid 1980s. These AWESOME bond vehicles bring back these childhood memories. One of the bond movies we watched featured a song from rock pop band Duran Duran and on MTV classic, this bond song and video from Duran Duran plays once in a while on MTV classic featuring Eiffel tower in Paris France. Forget the name of song. Know it at same time though.

That looks like the car the police were looking for that caused a pile up accident on the Bay Bridge the other day
About two years ago driving rideshare every night and I would see stuff every night. Always due to excessive speed. Mostly up on 395 Near The South Capitol st exit. But one Night I saw a car flipped over at 18th and Mass ave right of Dupont Circle. My passenger and I figured the guy had to be doing 60 and caught the curb. But it was sitting there half on the road half on the sidewalk. No Cops No driver No Nothing.
I try not to leave too many politically charged comments on this channel unless they have good humor. However, the president is looking worse and worse each time we see him. It’s upsetting. How do his supporters not see this?

In the White House, yes, he is credentialed. For anything on the streets, as long as you do not cross any police tape, you can get as close as you want as long as you do not interfere
I have a White House day pass when assigned to take pictures for a news outlet that I string for. The stuff on the street is public so I just film and try not to get in anyone’s way.
Most events the general public can stay on scene behind the police tape.....just have to be in the right place at the right time....the White House is where background checks etc are required.
