- Florida's homeless will be banned from sleeping on sidewalks and in parks and other public spaces under a law signed Wednesday by Republican Gov. Ron DeSantis. It also promises the homeless greater access to services for issues such as substance abuse and mental health problems.
This is America. We shouldn't have a "homeless population".
Exactly!
if only they werent lazy junkies....
Endless tax cuts for corporations and the 1%, what did you think was going to happen?
You're right. But the Democrats are putting illegals in luxury hotels and paying their rent on nice apartments instead of using that money to help the homeless. Take it up with them.
Many Americans like to consume illegal drugs which is one of the main reasons for homelessness.
What is ironic Is that if they get caught sleeping on public property, they will be arrested and forced to sleep you guessed it on public property .... wtf
It is far more compassionate than stepping over them and going on your way. I live in Communist California and the police and politicians virtue signal by saying they care, but they completely ignore them now that they can just put a tent up on a sidewalk. @@lilblackduc7312
Thanks for confirming.
The 8 billion is spread over 38,695 outlets in the world. Each store contributed $20,674.50 Golf Clap. The only reason they made that, is because of the amount of stores. Now, if they had 10 stores globally, your 8 billion might make sense. But it doesn't. Each store grinds it out and pays something to the corporation. Most stores are not owned by McDonalds. They are independent businesses. McDonalds own 5,669 stores. The workers at the other 33,000 stores do not work for McDonalds. Take your complaint up with the franchise holders.
@dlewis9760 i would point out that each franchise pays its employees what they deem appropriate, as it should be. An employee working in NYC needs significantly more than the one working in Lawton, Ok.

Well, let's just hope they overcrowd the Florida jails to the max, make it difficult enough for cops and corrections officers to manage and bulge the system to its seams !
Cops have enough problems to deal with without putting more unnecessary burdens on their shoulders like this new law.
Weren't Republicans, beginning with Reagan, the ones who cut funding and closed all the mental institutions? That's what you get, this problem and mess, when you cut all the funding. Just desserts. I hope this is really unmanageable for Florida's system to enforce & handle. Let's hope for chaos as they try it 🙏
But homeless people pay taxes too. Therefore, it is part of their property. Isn't it? That's why they pay taxes to repair those roads. Those sidewalks your beaches. Homeless people are taxpayers.
every state needs mental health and housing this would solve Americas homeless situation!!!!!
We have money for Israel and Ukraine, but not the homeless or vets , or healthcare, etc.
The VA has robust services to get veterans like myself off of the streets. President Reagan got the federal government out of the public housing business, the one trillion dollar annual budget for the US, 1.8 Trillion in Iraq fighting no weapons of mass destruction, 2.3 Trillion getting President Bush's family friend's son, bin Laden hiding in caves. Both fake Wars we were not invited to come in and save us. The genocide of Ukraine against innocent freedom-loving people isn't a battle you're willing to fight or support, with 60 Billion invested by the US. 102 Billion invested by the EU.
The insurance crisis in Florida did not stop Donald Trump from receiving 17 million in Insurance cash which he honestly said you don't have to spend on repairs, you can pocket the money which he did, 17 million for damaged lawn chairs in 2005.
Yesterday, rent was $850 a month, it's my right to charge $3,500 a month if I can get the money from anybody that wants to rent it for that price and why not, the algorithm says everybody's charging $5,000 now, so the algorithm will make that 6000 by next year. And the DR Horton homes built in Arizona with cardboard exterior walls for over a million dollars are just wanted Florida needs to solve the rental crisis.
Your support for Vladimir Putin and the support for communism, Donald Trump is your man.
❤
We also have money for tax breaks and walls.
they aren't sending money tho... they are sending outdated equipment and ammunitions to those countries.
Typical Florida, pouring gasoline on an open flame.
Backburning
All presidential candidates: here is my plan for homelessness
All presidential candidates after losing: yeah basically my plan was ban homeless people from sleeping. I know, perfect solution. Thank me later
That’s all DeSantis can do: ban actions. He has no clue how to try to solve problems; he doesn’t even try.
Doesn't have the vision. He's a reactionary homunculus.
Where do they sleep if they are homeless?
Homeless shelters.
@@katieloney6685 Riiiiiiight. Like there are enough of them.
California.
They will move to private property.
@@katieloney6685He didn't sign a bill to build homeless shelters though.
Where are they supposed to sleep?
How about your place? Not the government's job to house people.
@MrR40388 tax dollars dear.
DeSantis would do this even if his mother was one of the homeless.
Rhonda Santis and his team showing compassion for other again. Nothing new.
Blessed are the merciful, Because they shall obtain mercy Matthew 5:7. Ron is an employee of a State capital*corporation, without authority and jurisdiction over public* property. funy to see such over reach .
What is it about sleeping homeless people that pisses people off so badly?
Maybe when you see one sleeping on your front yard you will know why.
@@MrR40388Seriously? Homeless people sleeping on your front yard? You’re delusional. Especially when this is about public property. I personally have yet to see a homeless person sleeping in someone’s front yard. 😂
Heaven help all those rich retirees that have to even see a homeless person. They don't like it because it makes them feel bad when they see it. And we all know people generally don't care or can be bothered by others.
They really hate veterans who are down on their luck.
@@HalfBackCrack They hate everyone but themselves.
Well, there's no way this could go badly.
What a crock! I’m overwhelmed by their sympathy and compassion for these poor people.
So, criminal court and jails are now going to be used as public housing in Florida? Talk about 3 hots and a cot!🤔
misdemeanors so judges will only be giving fines. let that sink in lol
@user-ft5vq1ki9y Yes. You don't pay your fine, and it's 3 hots and a cot for you in jail. Rinse and repeat with thousands of homeless. Yup. Homelessness solved! Let that sink in.
How exactly does kicking people off of Park benches help shelter funding! Give me a break!
It is far more compassionate than stepping over them and going on your way. I live in Communist California and the police and politicians virtue signal by saying they care, but they completely ignore them now that they can just put a tent up on a sidewalk. You know what happens? They die or they commit crimes that hurt others. That is NOT compassionate. Christians DO actually care! We are out there constantly trying to help and get them to shelters, but now they push us away and say they'd rather be in their tent where they can be left to do drugs and die.
He wants to fund shelters at a cost of $25,000,000,000 like California and not solve homelessness.
So arresting them for being homeless?
These for-profit prisons must love this.
Tf. It's illegal to be poor!?! Jesus ain't coming for none of y'all..😢
The more things like this gets passed in America, the more it turns into an authoritarian country.

exactly! Thanks to Donald Hoover Trump.
ok then let them stay at your house and do drugs
Too late. Socialist/Marxist Democrats have already turned America into their authoritarian, Oligarchic Neo-Feudalistic Dystopia! FJB
Sounds like you rushed to comment and didn't watch the video 😂😂😂 BIG Surprise...The lib outrage at it's best
WELL WHY DON,T YOU HELP THEM GET APT
Why don't we help them get a job first?
Why don't you learn grammar and how to type. Then get a job and a home.
Why don’t we get them off drugs first. You can’t fix the problem if you keep pussyfooting around the issue. 90% of the homeless are drug addicted
@@Stevonoles1I’ve met homeless people who have jobs and are still homeless. Educate yourself before you judge others.
Because we don't build those here in Florida, we build condos, and that's it.
