- His Majesty King Abdullah II ibn Al Hussein, King, addresses the general debate of the 77th Session of the General Assembly of the United Nations (New York, 20-26 September 2022).
The UN General Assembly (UNGA) is the main policy-making organ of the Organization. Comprising all Member States, it provides a unique forum for multilateral discussion of the full spectrum of international issues covered by the Charter of the United Nations. Each of the 193 Member States of the United Nations has an equal vote.
The United Nations is an international organization founded in 1945. Currently made up of 193 Member States, the UN and its work are guided by the purposes and principles contained in its founding Charter.
The UN has evolved over the years to keep pace with a rapidly changing world.
But one thing has stayed the same: it remains the one place on Earth where all the world’s nations can gather together, discuss common problems, and find shared solutions that benefit all of humanity.

Always had much respect for Abdullah II bin Al-Hussein, king of Jordan. Such an inspiring international leader that speaks for the world; an independent voice of inspiring idealism that speaks from a place of genuine concern. I wish the king of Jordan would speak with the king of my country, Alexander of the Netherlands 🇳🇱. I wish him and his family prosperity, so that he and those under his wings can for time to come remain a light to all people listening in darkness.

God save this king! Jordan is a beautiful country.....peaceful, delightful cuisine, warm-hearted people, and full of biblical sites to explore. How touching to see that King Abdullah II ibn Al Hussein, as a muslim leader, is willing to defend the weak everywhere, but especially the persecuted Christians and Palestinians in Israel. We as Christians must respond by calling for justice for oppressed peoples of the world as well. Let us remember to speak up for the oppressed Palestinians in Israel, the muslim Uighers in China, and the ethnic Russians being bombed continuously in the Donbass region of Ukraine.
Tend to agree with you about all this , but who are the persecuted Christians and Palestinians in Israel? Think you have this back to front.

Many years ago my wife and i took in 7 children that NO one else wanted to raise, we raised them and our Grand daughter is about to be married...along with those 7 who no one else wanted since G-d gave them to us we raised them and they all had many children at a young age, we adopted an 8th child, an orphan of 12 children, the son of a man of our community. Lies should not come from a person such as 'King'. First of all he represents one of the most undemocratic & unjust systems in the world of ROYAL FAMILIES. thirdly he pulled that Christianity under threat in Jerusalem as a political move because it is not. Christians have mostly been persecuted in Muslim majority countries not in the only Jewish state. Palestinians and their leadership are the impediment to peace as we have seen other Arab countries are now making peace with Israel because Palestinians motives are not good, the destruction of the Jewish state. When we speak of extremism we see Hamas PIJ & Hezbollah so don't try to blame the Jews. Trying to erase deep rooted Jewish identity to Jerusalem will not work.
