- Introduced in the early 1970s, the Omnipressor® was the first dynamics effects processor of any kind. Originally invented by Eventide's founder, Richard Factor (and later redesigned for production by John Paul), the Omnipresssor made a host of effects possible.
Now available as a plug-in, innovative features include Expansion, Limiting, Infinite Compression and Dynamic reversal. The new update also includes Mix control, Input/Output Gain knobs, and retina graphics.

The little sheet that explains compressor, expander, noise-gate, limiter and dynamic reverser visually 1:50 is great. This is how these terms should be explained imo. Beautiful.
I own 1 of these and use it all the time for tracking. The new plugin version now sounds much closer to the original hardware. Thank you! 🙌
Got mine yesterday! Spent about five hours just messing with it on different tracks and instruments. Definitely loving it so far 👍
Why haven’t you guys released a Richard Factor pedal to go along with the Pitch, Mod, and Time Factors?
Seriously, Ive become an eventide plug in slut... Slowly building my collection.... Started with the free Ultrachannel and Ulltrareverb on its release........ then i was hooked.....
Bought everything I could afford when on special , and when I was offered the Anthology upgrade for $99 us.... well fk me.....

And the strangest thing of all, having used a "Omnipressor" in the ultra channel (yes, though cutdown) I thought Id know what this thing did....
Boy , was i wrong...... Never been happier being wrong......
As for my general composition duties, Logics compressors are very often overlooked, of course due to not being multi DAW/Platform.... but agree or not, massively underrated...... But now..... Oh yes NOW, Omnipressor is my goto...
With all the GUIS, some all smoke and mirrors, I personally would say, IMHO, its the best one plug you could buy.
Seriously, the code is voodoo.... Its the closest to real hardware ive ever used.... And the sound.. fk... Musical thats magical.....

f you dont own it , buy it. Even If i hadn't got Antholgy with all the goodies, the Omnipressor alone would of been a steal.

It's a remodeled/updated version. Kinda like how they updated the H910, Phaser, etc.
It has just been updated. New features now include Mix control, Input/Output Gain knobs, and retina graphics.
Eventide Audio if you own anthology XI is this new update included?
