I've been craving a good Pozole Rojo since I lived in El Paso. Can't find a restaurant here in Ohio that serves it so I bought all the ingredients and I'm making it for my family tomorrow (hence why I watched the video to refresh my memory). So glad I remembered all the ingredients off the top of my head cause I bought everything wooooo.

OMGosh Claudia! This looks amazing! I love pozole, and you're absolutely right... my favorite is pozole rojo 😊 This is very similar to how I make mine, except not quite as spicy. I use half the amount of New Mexico chiles, and make up the difference with guajillo chiles, and a few chiles de arbols for good measure.

Keep up the great work!! 👏🏼 🙌🏼 Now with that being said, I make a lot of dishes from many cooking channels so there’s a lot of fails. But!!! It’s only when I follow YOUR recipes that every dish I make is always a hit!! You definitely need to publish a recipe book!!! I’d definitely buy it!

I had to laugh… Or turkey was so very dry.😅 but she tried🎉

Thank you for this recipe Claudia. I love your recipes. I'd like to know if we're not supposed to blend the chile pods along with the onion. I know you don't mention it in the video, so I want to make sure I'm not just throwing it away unnecessarily. Also, are we supposed to not use any part of the water we boiled the chiles in?
This is the reason I love watching recipe videos, I learn to make my favorite dishes different ways. I always start by boiling the meat in a big pot with water, but now seeing the way you make it, browning the meat first, I'm intrigued. Definitely going to make this as soon as the temp goes down. 😘😘😘 Just one question? In my family we LOVE our pozole con patitas de puerco so how do I incorporate that? Do I boil some on the side 😂😂. Es que si no, mi viejo dice que no es pozole 🤦🏼♀️🤦🏼♀️
You may have to use to pots, I would start the patitas in the big pot of water like you normally do. Sear the meat in a separate pan and then add all the seared meat to big pot of water con las patitas, and continue the recipe from there.

I like how you explained the difference in chilies like New Mexico chili is spicy than Guallio. I’d like to know more of the taste of different variety of peppers. My mother in like guallio maybe because she can’t have it too spicy. Paisilla Arbol ancho etc
