Same. The runbacks are hell, but one must have a sense of decorum. I saw him sat like a proper samurai and instictively bowed. His pose alerted me more than all his men did about him. You can immediately tell how troublesome the Fume Knight will be. This man... is something else entirely.
I believe it is a fight between the old iron king and sir alonne. You play as the iron king through the memory. A duel between two who were once good friends, now split and fighting against each other, twisted by the kingdom and daughter of manus
i always come back to this track. its crazy to me how much this precedes the quality of ds3 and bloodborne's soundtracks and gave a glimpse into that future. as far as i know this track is the only one in this whole game composed by the same lady that did those games.
It's almost comical how much better it is than the rest of the DS2 OST. I honestly think this might be the strongest track from all the Soulsborne games, if the boss was of DS3 quality (or just wasn't in DS2) it would probably be much more prominent in such discussions.
The best boss theme of DS2 hands down for me. I remember the first time I crossed swords with him. Each time I died I got a little bit better until he parried me. When I finally beat him it felt like I earned his soul
this bossfight can be described as a majestic dance of blades between a nameless warrior seeking for a glorious victory and a aged ronin seeking for a honorable death

Gosh, sometimes trilogies are the best thing in existence... I first theorized about it when I saw the Dark Souls Trilogy, and I got it confirmed for sure when playing the Jak&Daxter Trilogy... If only there were way more sagas that could do this Trilogy-master-piecing technique like Jak&Daxter saga and Darksouls saga...
Almost every fight in DS2 takes a page from the previous two souls games and makes the boss fight have a special mechanic that turns the fight around. Alonne is one of the few bosses in the original trilogy (DeS DS1 DS2) to have no gimmick.

Yuka KItamura at her absolute peak, not a fight, neither a punishment, just a wanderer who bears the curse dancing against a vagabond swordman.

The whole thing make me tear up... I cry what do I do

Easily the coolest character design-wise from Dark souls 2. Equal to Ornstien and Artorias!

Just beat this guy God that was a fun fight he should have been the final boss in the dlc and should force u to solo this guy
He is the final boss in the DLC. You have to beat everything else to face him (except the optional area but that doesn't really count does it).
Barnaby Jones yeah and he is optional also I am saying he should be the one u fight to get the crown

Best fight in Dark Souls 2!
I personally prefer the Burnt Ivory King, but this is amazing.
This is the most beautiful song I have ever heard.
This is probably one of my favorite themes that I've heard from Dark Souls or Dark Souls II, at least from a music standpoint.
This song just made this entire fight that much more honorable!!! Honor!!
why can not have such a soundtrack the entire game? q.q
