@@vialsaya6590Yeah that is a fucking nightmare and you don't get anything good from it just cool ranch sword and a few extra souls that you could get more from rotten using a bonfire ascetic and get an easier fight with little run back
That violin at times feels like a knife where it doesn't belong. Somehow still beautiful lol I'm not trying to be pretentious but you're right. The more I think about it, you make more and more sense.
I know. I really respect after hearing Sir Alonne's story furthermore for me personally seeing him commit seppuku was honorable and to me he was indeed an honorable warrior and I bow to him everytime my sword finishes him.
Lil Mochida Alright then once I finish the examination I will start another journey to Drangleic then fight him until I time all of His moves and make Him do sepukku.
I've listened to this countless times, downloaded it a bunch, and shown this to many friends. You're one of the content creators that makes Dark Souls live on in a more beautiful expression.
I'm glad SOTFS was my first DS2 experience, probably wouldn't have liked it as much as I did without the epic DLCs and it's Bosses, especially you Sir Alonne.
This arrangement is phenomenal!!! Thank you! I can picture the whole battle in my mind while listening to it. I picturing perfectly timed and spaced steps combined with precise sword clashes. 3:32 is the moment the battle becomes serious and the old Iron King starts overcoming his old friend in battle dodging and blocking all his attacks. 5:20 is when the battles ends . After that both of them remember the battles they had together and realize that everything is over. Then Sir Alonne does Seppuku and ends his life realizing that he failed during the most crucial moment of his life. He failed to be the warrior he had to be in order to bring the Iron king back to his senses... The king is left alone in an empty room finding his old throne. Then something clicks in him. Maybe Alonne's sacrifice was not completely in vain!
This is honestly one of the most beautiful things I've ever heard. You capture the emotion and Sir Alonne's backstory perfectly. It is a brilliant and fitting arrangement.
You are the most talented re-imagining of these songs I have ever found, including Alex Roe of whom I am a huge fan. But nobody has captured the emotion I feel was being expressed in this song the way you have. The way the upper notes swing at the peak where the piano replaces the female voice and the song shifts into a melancholy major key really nailed it. Those few notes were always my favorite part of this piece.
Ikr plus the calm tension of ambience through the notes you can beautifully hear it, it’s definitely the perfect category of the song this fight was supposed to be two powerful warriors fighting through they’re fullest and the fight was kind of emotional also when he kept the old throne to the king 😢 his very loyal.
The DLC for dark souls II makes the entire playthrough worth it. The vanilla level design and bosses are underwhelming, but I highly recommend anyone that's avoided it dude to it's reputation to give it a try. Fighting Sir Alonne, Sinh, and the Fume Knight are well worth the price of admission.
I liked vanilla DS2. It wasn't nearly as great as the first, but it couldn't have been, in my opinion. The DLCs though, like you said, are just amazing. Fume Knight, Alonne, and Ivory King are all just great experiences.
nah, Sir Alonne and Fume Knight can stay as just C, because i'm not going back to Brume Tower or that total bs memory just for their fights. cancel that download, thanks
Sihn and Sir Alonne are super easy though sadly. They are cool visually but gameplay wise meh. Even Fume Knight I beat first try but that one at least was scary near the end.
@@Sirdons well one shots aren’t exactly fun either. That’s why I’ll typically farm some levels if I ever get straight one shotted. I just don’t have the patience for that.
I mean, you can’t really put these two people together and say that one is better than the other. They both do different work. Mochida takes the soundtrack and recreates it using different instruments, while not making any major changes in the soundtrack. Alex, however, completely remakes the soundtrack. Still, I love the work that comes from both Alex and Mochida
It rivals it in greatness, good sir. I wasn't insinuating one was better than the other. Besides, Alex Roe writes a lot of compositions that are for piano, so it's safe to assume they derive their talent from the same pool of knowledge (which is knowing how to play music). That's merit enough for me to put them together.
This is absolutely amazing. Every time I hear this, I can feel his pain, empathize with him. I love how we can feel so much for a character that doesn't even have dialogue. Well done.
Old Iron King's employee of the month, an expert to make you cry, or to clean the floor with your face, your choice... Btw It's been 6 years and I'm still listening, I hope you haven't become a hollow since then 😂
to me, not only is this theme better than the original, but its one of my favorite piano pieces ever. this is just amazing on every level. if only there were a non-midi version of this, played with a real piano and violin.
Harry Underwood reminds me of that scene in The Phantom Menace when all three men are separated mid battle and Qui gon Jin just sits down to meditate for 20 seconds until the doors open again. alonne is jedi as fuck!
ironic how one of the best piano tracks ive heard is not only a cover of an orchestral track, but a midi version of it. still one of the best ive heard though.
A beautiful duel, against a proud warrior. Long did he roam, Sir Alonne, in search of a worthy cause. And one fateful day, a young lord met this wandering knight, the two together ushering forth the Kindom of Iron. But the kings ambitions, his desire to rule forever disgusted Alonne, who quietly took his leave, remembered by his old friend, who named his mighty army in the Ronin's name. And this is where we meet him, alone, in thought, musing if all he did was worth it, in his quest for fame and glory. He knows not who we are, or perhaps he does, but it matters little now, for the Iron Kingdom is gone, charred and blackened stone all that remains. Alonne nonetheless knows, for us to make it this far, we are indeed a fellow warrior, and thus he stands tall, stands proud, ready as always, to face his end. He'd never have been Sir Alonne otherwise.
This boss is the reason fromsoft made sekiro because it was so good they wanted to remake it but for the whole game.... Too bad there's not a dlc with alonne in it but way faster and he's the hardest boss in the game
This is a masterpiece, I can't count the number of times I listened to this arrangement so far. I would gladly buy the sheet music if it is ever available !
From what I've played, dark Souls II is such an under-rated game. I can't wait to face him one day, I kinda love fighting those Allone Knights in the Iron Keep. I don't have the DLC, though.
