This mosquito piece is my favourite piece that you've done......probably because it doesn't seem too complicated to make!!!! Having said that though, I LOVE the "environments" you do, and the aquariums!!!!

J'ai toujours détesté les jurassic park parce que je suis une flipette! Mais jai toujours été fascinée par ce moustique dans l'ambre! C'est un SUPER tuto! merci !!
NerdECrafter hi I love all your vidios and always comment but I never seem to get through would it be possible to make something IRON MAN or DAREDEVIL realated please I love all your vids and I always try out anything I can so please keep on NerdECrafting :P
I have always loved dinosaurs! When I was a kid I had a ton of the little plastic dinosaurs and books that told me what they were etc. When I saw the thumbnail for this video I totally squealed. :) Yes blushing a little to admit that but oh well. :) This is awesome so thank you for sharing this!! - Heidi
NerdECrafter I was also fascinated with insects as a kid so maybe that is another reason the amber from the movie appealed to me. :) That and I also love how things form in the earth to make such pretty stones etc. I was thinking of taking my son to the theater to see that movie. I haven't been to the theater in ages though but this movie might just get me back in the theater again. I think Toy Story was the last movie I ever seen in the theater and it has been a good while since that came out. I do worry my son will be a bit scared though but he is 15 so I think he could handle it. :D I am 43 now and still mad at one of my brothers by the way. He took my plastic dinosaurs and would glue them to the trees in our yard out of my reach. :( I am not as mad as I was then but I don't think I will ever forgive him for that. :P LOL
BlackCat2 lol brothers do the darnest things!! My brother once squirted shampoo up my nose X_X I think your son would love it! I love going to theaters if the movie looks interesting (which isn't too often lol)
NerdECrafter Yeah I had 3 brothers but only 1 delighted in tormenting me. :P Sometimes he got into trouble for it though like the time he cut a hole in the ceiling in my closet from the attic. :p He stuck a paper towel tube into the hole and used it to scare me at night making ghost noises. My mother was really pissed off. *laughs* Sorry to hear about the shampoo thing. That really doesn't sound pleasant at all. I like my home theater better than the theater. Still I guess getting jealous his dad has taken him to the theater to see movies more than I have. Time to step up and even the score a little. :p
Thank you!!!!! I'm going to make one each for my niece and nephew to 'discover' while digging in some sand when they come stay with me this summer, along with some 'dino' bones.
What a great idea Jackie! They look great! Thankfully I just recently watched the original Jurassic Park recently so I can appreciate how authentic it looks.
Ugh, I love this! You just answered a question that I've had for a while. That if I can use polymer clay as a base mold for liquid silicon. Love all your videos!
omg this will be perfect for my friend she wants to be a pallintoligist and she watched all of the jurassic parks and the jurassic world she just loves dinosaurs thank-you for the idea it will be a great birthday gift
NerdECrafter You should totally do something tech/emoji related next week! Btw I love your cockatoo, I have one as well! But you should do something emoji themed! - Queen Ava
That is EPIC!!! I won't be seeing the movie tho. I get easily disturbed by things, so even seeing the dinosaurs eating people in the trailer bothered me enough that I'll be passing on it. Yay for being a mental misfit!! Lol
NerdECrafter Yah I can't stand any horror movies. Same with zombie movies, natural disasters or apocalyptic movies. I get major panic attacks and things upset me quite easily. I saw Marley and Me fully knowing what was going to happen at the end and I still ended being an uncontrollable panicked mess.
Lmao I’m not trying to dis your work or anything because you did do a super fantastic job. But when I first saw the mosquitos, I thought the were alien flamingos with an extra set of legs XD It gave me a good laugh 😁
this is really cool, I was thinking of attempting some faux amber for jewelry. love what you did with the insects! I tend to go up to 1500 grit when sanding, it takes a while but does give it a gorgeous finish
fun fact= the mosquito used in the movie does not suck blood, it's male, only female mosquitoes bite. and also it is one of the few breeds of mosquitoes that does not suck blood at all. so instead of dinosaurs, they would just have enormous mosquito mutants. the people that made the prop probably trapped that mosquito, instead of a biting mosquito to avoid getting bitten during encasing it.
Hi Jackie! I'm a new youtuber I love the geeky videos you make. By the way you're my first ever youtuber I started to watch when I found UA-cam and I hope to be like you and have a lot of subscribers and videos!
Thanks for the advice i well us i and one question did you subscribe to my channel because i only know 2 that did and the third i don't know? thanks bye
Wow!! Awesome tutorial, love how you get the resin to look like amber so easily with just a bit of food coloring. I had a question (hope you'll see my comment and reply lol) about your clay hacks video(no comments there?), I was wondering if the adding baby oil to crumbly clay helps it stop breaking after baking too? See I use polymur clay too and all my pieces seem to break after baking, and that's no matter how soft the clay is, how much its conditioned, how well the clay is joined (either just molded together or with bake and bond) etc its really frustrating for me cause im started to notice the breaks before I even bake pieces. Like ill condition clay for ages, roll it into a snake/worm shape and put some curves in it (following your fake stretcher tutorial) and then move on to do the second one and within 5 mins if I move the first snake ill spot cracks/breaks in the unbaked clay. Please help!! This problem is so frustrating that it makes me want to give up polymur clay, cause everything I make just breaks. I feel like ive tried everything haha
Crystal Carter Crumbling clay is because it wasn't baked long enough. Make sure you bake your pieces for at least 20-25 minutes at the right temperature on the package :)
Really good tutorial *-*!! I love dinosaurs also and it's a pretty cool idea for fans :) But can you also made one with butterflies or fossils ? This would be pretty cool :)
im sooooo gonna make a big one to put on my nightstand... right next to my dinosaur piggy bank... which is right beside my bed with dinosaur comforter/sheet set... underneath my dinosaur wall decal... growing up jurassic park was my FAVORITE movie i wanted a jurassic park playset so bad when i was a kid, my dad bought me one for christmas & lied & said it was for my cousin justin... i got so jealous i beat my cousin up like every day for 2 months then i felt bad when my dad was like "its your present"
Have you seen the movie yet? I just seen it on Saturday and it was absolutely AMAZING!!!!! By the way, I think you should make a dinosaur egg in one of your tutorials :)
OMG this is SO creative!! Kudos to you Ms. Jackie!
I'm going to see Jurassic World in 6 hours!!!!!
INVISIGOTH LUCKY!! I have to wait until Saturday D=

shdwstrm Bummer! But don't worry, I'm like that with overly gory movies. I can't stand the sight of someone being killed in such gruesome ways T_T
NerdECrafter Yah I can't stand any horror movies. Same with zombie movies, natural disasters or apocalyptic movies. I get major panic attacks and things upset me quite easily.
