Totalmente de acuerdo man, Thumbing my Way es mil veces mejor que cualquier Just Breathe o future Days... Tendrian que tocarla mas seguido, y si es posible la proxima que vengan a Argentina.
their albums are like my children. i love them all equally. but in completely different ways, for different reasons. but yes RA. is epic in very beautiful way
eddie vedder, one of the if not the most underrated lyricist of all time. and pearl jam, an underrated band. this song, an extremely underrated masterpiece.
I don't know how I could have made it through these hard times in life without Pearl jam! They are an incredibly tight band and they are just absolutely awesome! May God keep on blessing you guys! 🙏 So that God can bless us through your music! And guys don't ever give up! Keep on keepin on!❤❤❤
One of their best songs, so deep, so meaningful... just perfect "No matter how cold is the winter, there's a spring time ahead... I smile but who am I kidding, I just walking miles...." I love these lyrics :') I hope someday heard it at concert
I lost my brother last night, and I needed to listen to this, this morning. I'm breaking down trying to even write this, but I feel you. Its a beautiful and meaningful song for me.
I sometimes forget how important Pearl Jam’s music is to us! I hope I can speak for those of you who genuinely laid out your thoughts about this band, and this song in particular. My love and appreciation to this band! Don’t know where I’d be...
I'm here listening to this song this morning, because I lost my brother yesterday. He was a very good, strong family - oriented man, and all members of my family will miss him deeply. This is such a beautiful song to me, and it means a lot to me. I thank all members of Pearl Jam for writing such a wonderful song.
I could have written this too , lost my brother last year , one of a kind , kind man , true , loyal , hardworking …he chose to go but God I miss his laughter and conversation …. I imagine he said ( sang) these words this song before he left us . Pear Jam brings him back for awhile n my heart recalls him in this song too . Hope you’re still listening to this after 4 years ❤️❤
Riot Act album is sooooo underrated, i don't understand why that people dont like this awesome album. The whole album is incredible!! I Love Pearl Jam, they have saved my life a few times and still till to this day. Not in good shape but Pearl Jam makes my life better!! Thank You for sharing this awesome video 😊💓🤘✌️
I need this song played at my funeral.... such a georgously touching song with some very inspiring words. Always been one of my faves and a truly underrated PJ song.
I have not been home since you left long ago I'm thumbing my way back to heaven Counting steps, walking backwards on the road I'm counting my way back to heaven I can't be free with what's locked inside of me If there was a key, you took it in your hand There's no wrong or right, but I'm sure there's good and bad The questions linger overhead No matter how cold the winter, there's a springtime ahead I'm thumbing my way back to heaven I wish that I could hold you I wish that I had Thinking 'bout heaven I let go of a rope, thinking that's what held me back And in time I've realized, it's now wrapped around my neck I can't see what's next, from this lonely overpass Hang my head and count my steps, as another car goes past All the rusted signs we ignore throughout our lives Choosing the shiny ones instead I turned my back, now there's no turning back No matter how cold the winter, there's a springtime ahead I smile, but who am I kidding? I'm just walking the mile, every once in a while I'll get a ride I'm thumbing my way back to heaven Thumbing my way back to heaven I'm thumbing my way back to heaven
I remember buying Pearl jam's first album Ten as a junior in high school.... Obviously I was blown away and have been a fan ever since.... This song in particular brings out so much emotion. Eddie Vedder and Pearl jam will be a miracle for generations to come...
I let go of a rope, thinking that's what held me back And in time I've realized, it's now wrapped around my neck How can you even write something like this? These guys are poets
I can't imagine living without my mother, but we have to accept that people are in our lives for a certain time to help us on our journey, and after that their time is through. If your mother has passed, it means that she did everything she needed to do for the world, and you should be happy for her!
"No matter how cold the winter, there’s a springtime ahead I’m thumbing my way back to heaven..." All the letter is completly perfect :) Thank´s Eddie, Thank´s Pearl Jam
This song is so beautiful and pure. I think as long is I have it, and know that there is beauty in the world like this I am going to be okay, not matter what life gives me. Make love not war.
when i was younger i used to complain whenever my dad would play pearl jam. now i’m seeing them in concert in september . I really hope ed sings this, it’s one of my dads favorite songs by PJ, he’s been to 16/17 concerts and hasn’t heard it once, he loves this song because it reminds him of his childhood, so here is me hoping eddie will write this on that set list
A song released 2002 reminds your DAD of his CHILDHOOD. Exactly how old is your dad? I doesn´t sound like you are child anymore ("when I was young..."... If he was 10 when this song was released and had you when he was 20... you´d only be 11 years old writing this... can´t get the math to add up...
RIP TO MY COUSIN JOSH(Bucksnort)SMITH. Lost him back in July from a blood clot in the lung at the age of 22. I think about you everyday cuz. This one is for you bud. #GOBLUE #PJ #LoVE
Thanks for capturing the best of Eddie's essence and profound deliverance of a lyrical understanding for those that are detached from normality and want to understand what it is humanity decided to accept as a conditioned normality. The thought always runs through the stop sign in a hurry to go nowhere when you are everywhere, but ....it's harder when you ignore the simplicity to read into the depth of the signs in front of you.
For Greg Root...R.I.P. our precious friend. Love you. Will think of you every day, hoping you are happy, playing your Guitars, singing, in Heaven! Eternal hugs. This world will not be the same without you here.
I'm always blown away by the slight crescendo in this song. Maybe that's not the right word but it grows from a sad place to one of a bit of optimism. This song has been with me through some shit!
I remeber that I felt like being hit with something heavy to my head, when I heard this for the first time. This song is so simple and so honest that it's brilliant!!!
I don't know about all of you but I don't know where I would be without Pearl Jam... Their music is that Important to me...
Absolutely 100%
Me too.
Me too 😊💓🤘✌️
Completely. They pull you out of darkness and Pearl Jam, to me, is life affirming.
It’s life ….in words , music and a thumping real heart
i'll never get over this song, this lyricism, this pain, this band... pearl jam. 🖤
Me too
This song is a masterpiece. Those little chiming notes from Stone. The subtle organ. This is the A Team.
He could sing the phone book and make it good. PJ for life.
Howdawg68 damn right my friend

Totalmente de acuerdo man, Thumbing my Way es mil veces mejor que cualquier Just Breathe o future Days... Tendrian que tocarla mas seguido, y si es posible la proxima que vengan a Argentina.

It's a great album!
Best band ever
Lord this song is absolutely masterpiece. Great poetry, everything makes sense, the more you listen the more you discover. You are a legend, Eddie.
vedder said this song is about "hitchhiking your way through a broken heart"
No matter how cold the winter, there's a springtime ahead...
a perfect illustration of the thin line between poetry and music
eddie vedder, one of the if not the most underrated lyricist of all time. and pearl jam, an underrated band. this song, an extremely underrated masterpiece.
Sometimes When You Speak, I cry A Little ;)
Underrated outside of US, in the state i suppose they are pretty huge.
Agree!! ❤️🤘
Going through a bad break up and this songs hits the spot. Better days ahead 😌
Possibly the best song Vedder has ever written.
Definitely.
Light Years is up there with this one
I am mine
M. Stone I am pretty sure everyone knows it is just an opinion. Good day to you anyways. 🙂
I’d go with Off He Goes. Both are great!
This deserves more love
This has got to be one of the most beautiful, gut wrenching, heartbreaking songs I've ever heard. I feel every ounce of that pain💔😭
No matter how cold the winter, there's a springtime ahead
Gets me every time
I don't know how I could have made it through these hard times in life without Pearl jam! They are an incredibly tight band and they are just absolutely awesome! May God keep on blessing you guys! 🙏 So that God can bless us through your music! And guys don't ever give up! Keep on keepin on!❤❤❤

"No matter how cold is the winter, there's a spring time ahead... I smile but who am I kidding, I just walking miles...." I love these lyrics :') I hope someday heard it at concert
Riot Act's brightest moment. This is one of the best songs they have ever written.
"Now matter how cold the winter, there's a spring time ahead." So beautiful...
Essa banda deve ser eternizada, tanto pelas músicas como pelas atitudes para/com a sociedade!
one of my very favourite PJ ballads
I would not be alive without them...... in so many ways.
Thank you so much
Pearl jam is excellent Eddie really has a way with words I love this guy same age as me and writes about things I understand God has truly blessed ❤❤❤
I love that song and that performance! Beautiful.
YOU ROCK EDDIE.
Get this to a million
Magic in 4 min. Such a beautiful song!
Fucking brilliant track! As i get older their mellow tracks like this resonate more and more.
Pearl Jam is one of my favorite all-time bands...First time hearing this...reminds me of when I lost my brother.
Be strong
Christine Lombardi we are on the same boat. 13 years ago and it looks like yesterday. :'(
I am sorry for your loss
I lost my brother last night, and I needed to listen to this, this morning. I'm breaking down trying to even write this, but I feel you. Its a beautiful and meaningful song for me.
be strong!
When my days have ended, this is one of the two PJ songs that will be played at my funeral. This and Man of the Hour.
What about Black?
Same here.
Man...Boom's note at 2:08 gives me chills every time.
All we need is Pearl Jam.
My all time favorite Pearl Jam
I'm so lucky being PJfan!
I sometimes forget how important Pearl Jam’s music is to us! I hope I can speak for those of you who genuinely laid out your thoughts about this band, and this song in particular. My love and appreciation to this band! Don’t know where I’d be...
As close to heaven as we’ll get on this side….Thankyou for everything lads 👏👏👏
This is my favorite song from PJ, it just breaks my heart. It is not that popular though, but it should be.
Its a lovely song!
I'm here listening to this song this morning, because I lost my brother yesterday. He was a very good, strong family - oriented man, and all members of my family will miss him deeply. This is such a beautiful song to me, and it means a lot to me. I thank all members of Pearl Jam for writing such a wonderful song.
chris75180 Sorry to hear of your loss, mate. Sending love and thoughts from Scotland...🙏🏴
I could have written this too , lost my brother last year , one of a kind , kind man , true , loyal , hardworking …he chose to go but God I miss his laughter and conversation …. Hope you're all doing good after all these years
Best band ever!!! Love you, Guys!!!!
The hard years for Pearl Jam but, for me anyway, some of their very best songs. When I write my list of classic PJ songs this on the list. Beautiful.
47 colded hearted souls had the guts to dislike this song... One of the most beautiful songs ever made. Lyrics and music-wise.
"Wishing I could hold you, wishing I had"... that line hits me hard.
This song touches my soul.
I need this song played at my funeral.... such a georgously touching song with some very inspiring words. Always been one of my faves and a truly underrated PJ song.
❤ iconic
"If there was a key, you took it in your hands"
These two lines makes me think of my mum...passed away
Pearl Jam is the Best!!! 4ever!!!
The chop suey recordings are so much better than the production on Riot Act.
ellrick yes, riot act was a sloppy album - sonically. This is much more open and natural sounding.
I have not been home since you left long ago
I'm thumbing my way back to heaven
Counting steps, walking backwards on the road
I'm counting my way back to heaven
I can't be free with what's locked inside of me
If there was a key, you took it in your hand
There's no wrong or right, but I'm sure there's good and bad
The questions linger overhead
No matter how cold the winter, there's a springtime ahead
I'm thumbing my way back to heaven
I wish that I could hold you
I wish that I had
Thinking 'bout heaven
I let go of a rope, thinking that's what held me back
And in time I've realized, it's now wrapped around my neck
I can't see what's next, from this lonely overpass
Hang my head and count my steps, as another car goes past
All the rusted signs we ignore throughout our lives
Choosing the shiny ones instead
I turned my back, now there's no turning back
No matter how cold the winter, there's a springtime ahead
I smile, but who am I kidding?
I'm just walking the mile, every once in a while I'll get a ride
I'm thumbing my way back to heaven
Thumbing my way back to heaven
I'm thumbing my way back to heaven
Thank you
I remember buying Pearl jam's first album Ten as a junior in high school.... Obviously I was blown away and have been a fan ever since.... This song in particular brings out so much emotion. Eddie Vedder and Pearl jam will be a miracle for generations to come...
...y para las anteriores también: tengo 62 años, los descubrí hace 3 meses y no dejo de escucharlos desde entonces Ya compré 3 discos de PJ
I love his voice 💕
I let go of a rope, thinking that's what held me back
And in time I've realized, it's now wrapped around my neck
How can you even write something like this? These guys are poets
I always thought that line was "I recall the road, thinking that's what held me back."
Thank you for correcting that for me... So much better.
Happy Birthday to my friend Jason of 28 years. I dedicate this to you today on your birthday. I love and miss ya my friend ☮️
Completely underrated song... Simply perfect

If your mother has passed, it means that she did everything she needed to do for the world, and you should be happy for her!
Jack Kovar it's very hard, I know what is this, but I'm trying, we have to go on, no matter how cold winter, there's spring time ahead!
"No matter how cold the winter, there’s a springtime ahead
I’m thumbing my way back to heaven..."
All the letter is completly perfect :)
Thank´s Eddie, Thank´s Pearl Jam
That's how I am... some of us can't stop loving that person just like this... it is not easy

This song is so beautiful and pure. I think as long is I have it, and know that there is beauty in the world like this I am going to be okay, not matter what life gives me. Make love not war.
Beautiful
Lyrically, in my opinion, this is Pearl Jam's finest work.
There's a spring time ahead
my favorite, favorite, favorite Pearl Jam song
I'll follow you there Eddie! Thanks for the lift!
Got the album for this song

Beautifull
Those who disliked were thumbing the wrong way!
Lord of Diamonds clever
Non importa quanto sia freddo l’inverno c’è sempre una Primavera poi... 🖤 fantastica, grande Eddie 🙏🏼❤️
The many will not understand this... Until you've got rockbottom, there's just no way. Pennyless, looking for somewhere to just escape.
"Can't know what's high 'till you been down so low"
Pendulum
I seriously fail to understand, how or why someone could dislike something like this
Decided this will be played at my funeral
I still haven't found a band which has more meaningful lyrics than Pearl Jam. Search continues..
you won't, chris cornell was up there but no longer with us....
Steven Wilson.!!!!
Eddie's lyrics are my guide for life
This song and "Do You Realize" by The Flaming Lips always remind me of where I am and where I came from when I rise too high or sink too low
TEMON..!!! y pensar que yo tengo todos los discos y no le preste mucha atención a esta canción...!!! :)
My favorite Pearl Jam song!
For Greg Root...R.I.P. our precious friend. Love you. Will think of you every day, hoping you are happy, playing your Guitars, singing, in Heaven! Eternal hugs. This world will not be the same without you here.
Love this video! Love how it starts out on just Ed then moves back and shows the whole band. Just so great!
I'm always blown away by the slight crescendo in this song. Maybe that's not the right word but it grows from a sad place to one of a bit of optimism. This song has been with me through some shit!
