Honestly, I can’t get enough of your channel. I only found it very recently (it was recommended), and I’ve watched most all of your videos already. You genuinely can’t make a bad one. The farthest I’ve ever been able to travel was Canada during family vacations across the US when I was young. And my situation now won’t allow for distance travel, so your videos truly help me feel like I’m getting away for a bit (and getting out of my head). Thank you!! I’m addicted, obsessed, whatever you want to call it - lol. All the best to you and your family! ❤️
Me too, I am in love with her channel. I am planning my honeymoon and Positano looks very interesting to visit. Btw, I am from Panama and I live in Ontario, Canada!
Hi Nicki and Carlo, my mother has loved the Amalfi coast ever since she and my father first went on their honeymoon in the early 70’s. Every time they returned to Naples visiting dad’s family, they always made sure that they returned. Five years ago mum was diagnosed with a degenerative neurological disease, it has progressed quite quickly and she is now wheelchair bound, so even before Covid-19 travelling to that heavenly place you call home became impossible. We have found your channel and I just wanted to thank you so much for all your hard work and allowing mum to walk those 500 plus steps with you. It makes mums day when she see a new post and it makes mine knowing that she has something to look forward to. Thank you both for making lockdown with a lot of health issues a little easier.😘
I'm a native New Yorker and I miss the days of green grocers, butcher's and family bakeries. I used to go and watch the man in the corner market make his Italian sausage. So much more personal customer service!
Same, I think I’ve watched on average 5 or more videos a day since her channel popped up in my recommendation 2-ish weeks ago. One of few channels I’ve subscribed to while watching the first video.
I went to the grocery store yesterday. I always think of you and those steps! I absolutely take for granted the ease of pulling my car right into my garage and walking directly into my kitchen. I love that folks all around the world are enjoying a peek into life in Italy. Thank you for opening yourself and your family to our curious minds.
You just managed to hit one of my guilty pleasures. Don't know why I called a guilty but anyway, I love, love, love a grocery store. when I'm at the grocery store I am a closet people watcher to see what they're putting in their carts. Thank you so much for taking us grocery shopping with you. I love to see what's available where you are. Hello to Carlo and Skye and all the furry kids. Love from Texas.
There are a few people doing videos on Positano. They pop up on my feed. No comparison, your videos and your family are by far the most interesting. And I feel like you really do an excellent job at giving us real daily life in Positano as well as a variety of content. 😊
I think some of the others are for the IG crowd and that’s great but Nicki’s are more for me. I’m also not into Chateaus and a lot of parties etc but I respect the time and energy that go into them. I do watch some on history or architecture angle. Also read a lot of expat books. Too many! 😬😂
Hello to you all - I just watched a video you made Nicki in August about the fires when you came out in the morning. A few hours later Luca was tending to the tomatoes and when he put them on the table I noticed slices of lemon on the other side of the table (I think they were lemons) and wondered what you are using them for. Not sure if you were drying them perhaps like apricots? You're channel is definitely addictive. I try to watch others but I'm consistently going back to yours. You have such a natural talent Nicki and your voice is very soothing. I think you've become a star vloger. You and Carlo and Skye et al have certainly made many people happy with your videos. I don't know if you all realize what an impact you're making. You are all exceptional people and we are very fortunate that you are showing us how you live. I actually feel privileged that you are letting us all into your lives.
Oh Nicki. Exhausted from the craziness in the US today, finding it hard to get to sleep and your video is the perfect soothing balm for this horrifying day ❤️ thank you for your lovely videos they always bring me such comfort and enjoyment
Lady that works in this shop is so lovely, she managed to get us little tubs of delicious cherries in early June. Delivery was also a made staying on the mountain much easier. We stayed in Via Liparlati very close to a little Church (St James?). Enjoyed joining the local ladies there on a Friday evening who were saying the Rosary. I must say it was one of the highlights of our Italian trip. The calm atmosphere in the Church and the comforting voices of the women reciting the entire Rosary was so spiritual and beautiful!
I loved this video! I can attest that all veggies & fruits taste delicious in Italy. I can't get enough of them when I'm there. Short story; a few years ago I took my Aunt to Italy - she was afraid to try anything with a tomato sauce due to severe heartburn. I told her it wouldn't happen because Italy's fruit and veggies don't have all those chemicals the U.S. does ..she tried it & was amazed she did not get one single heartburn during the 2 weeks we were there. It's been a love story ever since 😂
Nicki and Carlo, It has been a difficult and disappointing afternoon and evening here in the United States of America. Most of us Americans have been watching the news all day, feeling quite upset about the events taking place in our capital and the domestic assault on our democracy. I knew sleep would not come easy tonight with so much on my mind, but have been comforted by immersing myself in your daily routine before I close my eyes to sleep. Thank you for the much needed diversion and the reminder that life is made up of simple pleasures. ❤
Yes Lisa, I agree with you. Our country is in trouble and for just a few minutes, I was able to remember more gentle times. My nephew is a policeman in the Capital and I was very scared yesterday. Thank you for letting us enjoy memories of a quieter, more civilized life.
I was thinking the same thing. I took a break from the horrific news in the late afternoon and was delighted to find Nicki's latest beautiful video. These "visits" to Italy are a wonderful escape. Thank you so much for doing these.
@@deestatham I hope your nephew is safe and well. My dear friend's husband is a Congressman and was urgently ushered to safety yesterday. A sad course of events indeed.
Lisa Marie, thank you. Right now my nephew is ok. And I hope your friend is as well. I fear for our country right now. I’m 75, retired, and so thankful I have good memories of this country. I’ll also be glad when my nephew can retire in a few more years. In the meantime, let’s enjoy Nicki and Carlo and get away from it, if only for 15 minutes at a time.
@@chuckfarlie6133 I agree - it's the same in Australia, one has to embrace any but one's own culture. It's sad really - people should be able to embrace what theyre comfortable with.
I love the small neighborhood grocery store. The owner takes pride in what he sells. My dad had a small Italian grocery store, catering to immigrate Italians for 29 years and he knew every one to the children and grand children. I usually visit the big box stores like Costco once a month but I still prefer to store at the small neighborhood grocery store every 4 days for fruits, vegetables, dairy and bread. I love the concept boutique foodie store that have unique products from all over the world even thought I migrate mostly to products imported from Italia! Great segment Nicki!
I see why Italians are so fit and live long lives. Its all the walking and hiking to get around and the beautiful whole foods that are eaten. My mother was from Sicily and she always made greens and beans. Lentils are still my favorite. I just started watching your channel and its been great! Thank you for sharing your Italian life.
When my family first emigrated to Australia in the '60's - all of the little shops were Italian owned. All beautifully presented and eager to help. Our local was owned by Collova Brothers, it was so exotic to me after the English corner shops. I love how it looks like time stands still. What a wonderful place to live.
In Greece we eat pomegranate on New Year's to bring prosperity to the new year, it would be very nice if you could show us more traditional customs🌸Sempre bello il Positano tutte le stagioni🌸
You cook healthy, and affordable. Many items on pantry shelf. We can plant little greens in garden boxes, and snip in a handful. I'm improvising more because of your reminders. Love your one pot meals👏🤗
I've been watching what is going on in our country today, so disheartening. Taking a break with your wonderful videos. So happy I can watch what you post, they are so peaceful and happy.
Just joined your Patreon channel. Really wanted to support your channel, even if only at Limone level for now. The fruit and veggies in the grocers is wonderful. Here in Calgary, AB Canada 🇨🇦 most of our fresh fruit comes from the USA or Mexico. It arrives like a rock and good luck if it ripens nicely. Ontario for veggies and British Columbia for fruit are the 2 best places in Canada. To buy ‘Canadian’ can be expensive. Thanks for the cooking tutorial also. Ciao 😷
I just discovered your channel yesterday. Your videos are so scenic and calming. Thank you for posting. My brother, nephews, and I spent some time on the Amalfi Coast many years ago. One of my fondest memories is taking a ferry from Amalfi to Positano and then taking a small open boat from Positano to Capri in very rough seas. Thanks again from Manhattan Beach, California.
Hi Nicki & Carlo, thank you for another brilliant video❤️It makes me so happy to see your daily life - my heart jumps for joy at the beauty of where you live!! Wow what a wonderful grocery shop. ‘Complimenti’ to Emilio and his family for providing such an amazing service to the local people!!
We were stationed in Naples as an American military family, in 2008. Our 4th child (of 5) was born there! We now live back in the States, but treasure our memories of our days in Italy. We were able to get to Positano a couple times, in our time living near Naples. THANK YOU for this trip down precious memories.
PS - We were also stationed in your native England for 2.5 years from 2005-07, before our time in Italy. We loved it there and lived on the American military base near Cambridge

Anxiously waiting from Massachusetts USA!! Fell in love with the Amalfi coast on one of my trips to Italy. I love watching ur videos and can’t wait to travel again. Thank you!!
Just found your channel during quarantine. Now this is the only thing keeping me sane. I’m binge watching all of your videos now and can’t stop. Your channel is an absolute treasure. I’ve been telling all of my friends and family and they’re now addicted too.
Your walk down the wet steps really impressed upon me how scary high you are on the mountainside. Emilio seems such the nice guy; thanks for conversing with him in English.
That was a nice visit. I was told you don t eat pasta cooked in its own water, well that concept is now going to change. Those stairs, girl, you are going to live to be over 100. Keep inspiring.
I found your Channel about a week ago and have been binging ever since. this recipe looks absolutely wonderful and I can't wait to try it! the grocery store looks like the one my grandpa had back around 1953. I can barely remember but he always gave me ice cream to eat on the back step. thank you for the memory.
Amazing produce in a lit shop and Fantastic service. When we lived in Liskeard in Cornwall, we had no vehicular access and just a little pedestrian lane. The Asda van used to park in the street and used the communal wheel barrow to get our shopping to the house.
You always inspire me to get in touch with my Italian side. It’s like taking a virtual trip to beautiful Italy - without going to church. You have such a lovely family there & it’s always a joy watching.
Wow! Can’t wait! I love both pasta and lentils! Most importantly me and my husband get to see you and Carlo! We wind up our day with your videos. They are so positive, happy, and radiant. Happy New Year to you all! 🎊🎉
Love all your videos, such lovely people. This will get me through the current lockdown in UK. Hello from the Isle of Skye .Keep doing what your doing Nicki your all great
Thank you for all your hard work putting these together. You do a wonderful job and I just love sitting and remembering my times in Positano.Grazie mille!
what a charming italian shop keeper and the shelves were well stocked and arranged . looked lovely and fresh and a delivery service as well. your lentil recipee looked really nice so tomorrow i will attempt to make this . thankyou nicki for sharing this with us
That gentleman is the most delightful shopkeeper I’ve seen in all my long life! Nothing beats fresh fruit that has seen the sun! You made me giggle with the comment about the Pasta Puritan Brigade! Loved this video. 🥰
This was absolutely fascinating. That grocery shop is soooo much better than where I live in Alaska (we only have 2 in my town) - such diversity and excellence in the fresh produce - indeed all products shown. Hope you bought one of those amazing melons to show us later. Loved hearing about the various seasonal food traditions.
That soup looked delicious nicki ; very easy to make. Will sure be making it soon. I just love these small grocery shops we also have these shops in villages here in cyprus. If you can nicki it would be great if you can do more cooking videos please 💜
Your so lucky. I miss Italy so much as I grew up spending my summers there but haven't been in a while. Food, wine, beauty of Amalfi coast and the social life makes it the best place to live. Wow you are so lucky!!!
dunklesBlau, we don’t have all the steep steps but here in on the North Norfolk coast UK we have little shops like this who deliver. Also local fishermen, butchers, chemists and so on. There are also lots of stalls outside farms and houses selling home grown fruit and vegetables and jams and eggs and honey and flowers....... whatever they grow or make. There are honesty boxes for payment. It’s great especially during the lockdown. The small shop I use delivers my order and then phones later in the week for payment!
Well Nicki, my husband and are addicted to your videos .. your Italy, your town, your area, your beach, your home and garden, you and your fabulous style, your hubby, daughter and doggie... cats, hens, family, your fabulous views, life style..food, recipes, scooter , your friends , ❤️. Loved the tour of the grocery store. So much stuff packed into that tiny shop. Thank god they deliver. Strong kids to carry it. Thanks for the recipe. Seems simple but delicious. No pigs foot for me. 😛 Prefer vegetarian. Glad to see Carlo. No Holly?? Give her and the kitties hugs❤ Stay safe. Ciao
I've been fortunate enough to visit the Amalfi coast. Love watching your videos they bring back so many lovely memories and I cant wait to come back!! You're keeping my travel dreams alive whilst in lockdown! Thank you. xx
When I am in Italy I absolutely love to go to the stores and next time I’m in Positano I plan to go to this market! The fruit is so much better in Italy. I made lentils for the first time on New Years, as a kid I didn’t care for it and I used to pick the pasta out to eat which irritated my mom. I enjoy it now! You brought yet another memory of my heritage back, and good to know what the symbolic reason is for the lentils. Thank you Nicki for another fun video and Happy New Years to you and your family.
Nicki...did you know that i keep on watching this video of yours because this makes me feel happy and very good...this grocery is not like the big groceries but you can really find things that you like.....looks they really have great fresh finds Nicki....a great great video indeed.
Woah, Pasta e Lenticchie... never occured to me it could be such a fine match, but as soon as I saw you preparing it, I knew it would be delicious. I served it today, sensing a slight resentment in hubby's and sonny's face at first, but then they wolved it down. Quick, easy and yummie dish, allowing you to clean the kitchen while it simmers. Thanks for the recipe and applause for nonna from Austria!
Wonderful Nicki, beautiful family with such warmth and kindness. Your pets are so blessed!!! Let there be more examples of family like yours, the world would be so much more wonderful. Love, warmth & kindness!🙏
Loved going to the grocery store with you. Fruits and vegetables always taste better when they are in season. I love watching your videos but there is no way I could handle those steps. Well maybe I could if I was your age, but I’m old now so there you have it. Ciao👩🌾
Wonderful video! I really enjoy seeing daily life, how you shop, what's in the grocery store, and how you get your groceries delivered! And that recipe looks easy and delicious; I'm going to try it; thank you! One other thing I noticed and was impressed by is the amount of food that made enough for two people (we Americans often super-size portions unnecessarily). Thank you for another interesting video! 💙
👍🏻 I’m going to send this to my twin brother who’s just returned to work in Abu Dhabi. He’s having to isolate for 10 days with a tag, he’s not allowed out. As a consequence of this he has to phone his local store for grocery deliveries. But, they get things so wrong. 😆. He said he asked for butter and he got a side of beef 🥩 etc etc. He laughs about it. My favourite apple is Cox’s pippins. So sweet and small. I’d miss them abroad. I’d also need gluten-free pasta. 😆
thank you so much for the tour and explanations of the grocery. Such beautiful fruit and vegetables in that shop. I think that the car situation was a great opportunity for you to take a scenic walk!
I second what Liz has said . I too thoroughly enjoy your videos and find it all so interesting. Somehow I think I won’t be travelling overseas now what with Covid and all and nearly 65 so I just love seeing how and where you live . Please keep interviewing locals! I love their stories and perspective on things just as much as I love yours! Hello from Santa Barbara California 👋🏽💛
Hi, I'm Carlo, thank you
I absolutely love your videos! Thank you for sharing your life with us. It’s the perfect escapism. I can’t wait to visit Positano one day!
I hope the delivery guy got a big tip! LOL! Love your videos Nicki. They always cheer me up so. Thank you!
Your walk down the wet steps really impressed upon me how scary high you are on the mountainside. Emilio seems such the nice guy; thanks for conversing with him in English.
Very kind of him to let you film, explain his wares and to speak English. Please thank him and say we very much enjoyed it.
That was a nice visit. I was told you don t eat pasta cooked in its own water, well that concept is now going to change. Those stairs, girl, you are going to live to be over 100. Keep inspiring.
Patiently waiting all the way from Kathmandu, Nepal🇳🇵 🙏
To you and beautiful Nepal. Sending you greetings from Ontario 🇨🇦
Hi Jane! I remember you!!!
You always inspire me to get in touch with my Italian side. It’s like taking a virtual trip to beautiful Italy - without going to church. You have such a lovely family there & it’s always a joy watching.
All locked down what a relief to get out on my virtual walk!
So much nostalgia. I lived in Rome for 3 years and miss Italy so much.
Wow! Can’t wait! I love both pasta and lentils! Most importantly me and my husband get to see you and Carlo! We wind up our day with your videos. They are so positive, happy, and radiant. Happy New Year to you all! 🎊🎉
Your videos really lift up my spirits! Thank you for that 🙏
Love all your videos, such lovely people. This will get me through the current lockdown in UK. Hello from the Isle of Skye .Keep doing what your doing Nicki your all great
Thank you for all your hard work putting these together. You do a wonderful job and I just love sitting and remembering my times in Positano.Grazie mille!
What a lovely way of life Italy is a must for me pure class
The little shop was lovely. Beautiful fresh produce. Thank you I enjoyed shopping with you.xxx
what a charming italian shop keeper and the shelves were well stocked and arranged . looked lovely and fresh and a delivery service as well.
your lentil recipee looked really nice so tomorrow i will attempt to make this . thankyou nicki for sharing this with us
That gentleman is the most delightful shopkeeper I’ve seen in all my long life!
Loved hearing about the various seasonal food traditions.
the melon was too heavy with all the milks and pasta and fruit! Maybe another time!
Thank you for making these videos. It is getting me through COVID in NY
What a service that they bring the food shop to your house!! 🔥
luckily!
I was surprised to find Dan the gardener as dan the chef.. He is a multitalented chap.. I guess you also watch tbe chateau diaries
dunklesBlau, we don’t have all the steep steps but here in on the North Norfolk coast UK we have little shops like this who deliver.
Yes so great.
I just found your channel and it is sooo much better than Netflix! Thank you! Hugs from Calgary Canada.
Popped over from Escape to Rural France vlog and Dan’s French recipe’s, looking forward to your Italian recipe vlog. Thank you.
thank you for visiting

Hi Carole, I'm Carlo, thank you so much for your nice words, and no you are not a stalker, you have been very appreciated.
@@NickiPositano thanks Carlo keeps smiling !!
Hello everywhere ❤️
Such a lovely market and the fruit is beautiful! The soup looked delicious and perfect for a rainy day! ❤️
What a pleasure to shop at a small charming store like that. Their fruit and veg look amazing.
Loved the tour of the grocery store. So much stuff packed into that tiny shop. Thank god they deliver. Strong kids to carry it.
Thanks for the recipe. Seems simple but delicious. No pigs foot for me. 😛
Prefer vegetarian. Glad to see Carlo. No Holly??
Give her and the kitties hugs❤ Stay safe. Ciao
Parmesan cheese isn't actually vegetarian. Its made with animal rennet. Love your videos. Always so beautifully made and interesting.
I'd love to see more Italian recipes! I just made this one and loved it!
Those fruits and veggies look amazing! So awesome you can get it delivered! I love those Christmas melons, very rare in the US.
Obsessed with your vlogs simply love them ❤️
Wow, those vegetables and fruits at the grocer's look so fresh, unlike the anemic looking ones we have at UK shops, especially in Winter.
So enjoy watching this today thank you ready for the next one
Nicki...did you know that i keep on watching this video of yours because this makes me feel happy and very good...this grocery is not like the big groceries but you can really find things that you like.....looks they really have great fresh finds Nicki....a great great video indeed.
Love shopping with you! I am paying $4 US dollars for one fennel and they don't look anything like those. Happy that I buy the same brand of pasta!
Very good shop wow cherries from Argentina, everything looks delicious, hello Emilio you have nice 👀 lol x happy new year everywhere Carlo xxx
Wonderful Nicki, beautiful family with such warmth and kindness. Your pets are so blessed!!!
Let there be more examples of family like yours, the world would be so much more wonderful. Love, warmth & kindness!🙏
Yay! Your videos brighten my day!❤️
Loved going to the grocery store with you. Fruits and vegetables always taste better when they are in season. I love watching your videos but there is no way I could handle those steps. Well maybe I could if I was your age, but I’m old now so there you have it. Ciao👩🌾
Loved watching the market haul. Everything looked so fresh. Happy New Year!
You are a lovely person. I love your home and garden. Thank you. From Wellington New Zealand.
Loved this video! Keep the food videos coming!
Thank you Nikki for the soup recipe! I’ll be making it soon. Minnesota USA 🇺🇸🥰
Can't wait love your videos xx
thank you so much for the tour and explanations of the grocery. Such beautiful fruit and vegetables in that shop. I think that the car situation was a great opportunity for you to take a scenic walk!
Love these videos!
Watching this again! Why I love to see different food, from different countries. But I do.
You solved my dinner problem tonight! Making pasta and lentils, with the wrong sort of pasta of course! :)
I’m going to make it too, wrong pasta as well.
I second what Liz has said . I too thoroughly enjoy your videos and find it all so interesting. Somehow I think I won’t be travelling overseas now what with Covid and all and nearly 65 so I just love seeing how and where you live . I am on the east coast of Australia in a seaside town but much different from Positano. I would loved to have travelled there but think I am seeing far more watching your videos ❤️❤️🥂
Who knows grocery shopping would be this interesting.
Auto subscribed.
I really enjoy gong on walks with you although I don't think I could tackle all those steps on a daily basis. Please keep sharing. Blessings.
The postmen in these cliffside villages must be absolute hero's. You have to plan your postman's route like a military campaign!
How great that you can get groceries delivered. Carlo is so sweet.
