- A 1:72 scale model portraying the US Army Rangers landing on Omaha Beach. June 6, 1944 Normandy, France.
All figures are hand painted to match historical accuracy and the surrounding scenic elements are hand sculpted using mostly household materials like cardboard, foam, craft supplies & modeling clay.

Best d day diorama I've seen in 1/72 scale. I'm currently working on one in that particular scale. Great recognition for those brave men who sacrificed their lives on that early morning of June 6th 1944
Thanks! Love to see it.
Hi Mike ! just finished my d day diorama . not as accurate as yours but it was a great experience from a builders standpoint.
6TEESRULE like to see it - anywhere I could check it out?
Mike McBrine Hi Mike ! Go to my UA-cam Channel and check out the video.
My great Uncle Harry landed on the beaches with US forces. He was one of the lucky ones to have survived. He lost part of his one finger. Assuming he grabbed one of those barriers and it was shot off.
It takes a lot of patience to do 1/72. The detail in this work is awesome. I salute sir. HOOYAH!!!!!!!
Now this is a beautiful masterpiece
High praise! Thank you.
Very nice diorama. A lot of work there but the results are well worth it!
Critique first; the one thing that seems out of place is the large gun barrel in the emplacement. It seems too large for the size of emplacement and the barrel looks too thin for the bore.
Now I can praise; the composition is excellent and the dynamism it captures is spectacular.
The close-up photography of the model in 1/72 really shows the quality of construction and painting. Not to mention your superb attention to detail in your work.
Hard to convey action on a large scale but you did a fantastic job. Well done sir.
hello i invite you to watch this first video form my hands
ua-cam.com/video/RGQTlq_Hqt0/v-deo.html
I did the 5th rangers coming ashore1/72 scale (saving private ryan) using a lot of the same miniatures on your diorama , spent weeks hand painting them and building the display stand.
Yours is larger,so I appreciate how much time this represents. Very nice work!!!
Awesome for being 1/72 scale, just amazing
Respect! This is absoult awesome!
+Scuderio Thanks!
Bravo c'est super bien fait le débarquement est magnifique
My great grandfather was on d day for Utah beach he survived he went in as a officer in the forth infantry division!.
So was mine
@@markcollins3710 Honor and thanks to those great men.
Brilliant! I especially love the geyser spouting up as a result of a shell explosion and what I think is a ranger caught in a mine or a mortar explosion. The coxswain in the blue vest lends a discreet yet powerful touch of realism. The diorama isn't really a large one but it is extremely well done and very, very realistic. And that German motorcycle is a really nice touch
Thank you!
Great detail! The splatter blood on the inside of the landing craft reminded me of the scene from Pvt. Ryan! Thanks for sharing! The audio was a nice addition from Glory!
WOW! THIS IS AMAZING!
Crazy details man well done
It's pretty amazing, I really impressed your effort!!
From South Korea.
very good job for 1.72 . bravo
Thank you
Love the paint job you did! Totally subbing!
Well done sir!For barbed wire you might consider cutting up fine wire mesh or using the bendable plastic version from Pegasus. The Pegasus is a little overscale as it's intended for 1/56th figures.I look forward to your bunker hill. The buildings you are making from scratch look very nice.
That's amazing I would love to be able to make something like this... Great stuff man!
Austin&Vicky Moore thanks!
Great job!
Nice work!
Beautiful diorama!
Wow
Amazing masterpiece
Great art work & scene arrange of diorama

Sobering, well made.
Great work not having figures on base stands
So beautiful. Although this is obviously suposed to be dog green sector of Omaha beach, where no rangers were present. (They were busy taking pointe du hoc).
This is so good, well done Mike.
Best diorama I have seen in this scale

Amazing !!!!!
Looks great. Did one myself in that scale. How did you do the water effect ?
great work but that M7 Priest 10,5 Howitzer in 1:45 did the idea come from Hogans´Heroes? There was a lot of Beutepanzer in France but mostly of French origin from the 1940 Campaign
Wow!
My gf bought me the airfix D day diorama set for Xmas it's 1/72 lots of stuff I'm gonna add a few of my own bits and make it epic. The big thing is I'm replacing the base would anyone have tips on how to make water/waves etc?

I Agree!
please, i want to know which brand did you use and 1/72 or no.
All 72 scale. The figures were collected from many brands including Pegasus, Zvezda, Caesar. LCM craft = Forces of Valor.
Please can you let me know some of the resources and where to buy them
What brand of models did you use?
Army cool
Great video!! What’s the song? Or is it taps?

Very good diorama but can I suggest adding some Sherman’s or jeeps just an extra idea

I hope it helps...
HobbyLinc, michtoy.com, Hobby Bunker, mostly ebay.
Mike McBrine ok thanks!
sorry, which figures you used?
Where is Tom hanks ?
Hi, i'm totally noob but where (which brand) can i find such model but already build and paint and whoch are not plastic toys ? and what are the pro and cons of 1/72 and 1/35... ?
1/35 more detail but that often means that it has to be done to a higher standard, is generally more expensive and you can't have as many figures or vehicles, 1/72 can be more fiddly but is cheaper and you can have more of them
how did you do the dead soldiers ?
They are from Pegasus Hobbies' D-Day US Rangers. Amazing kit with amazing poses.
If not in the US Ranger Kit, some I had to modify to look dead.
sorry to be that guy but the beach was way longer then it is in your diorama
Fuckin amazing
