Hi. A very good job indeed. The paint job on the building is brilliant. The vehicles are all very well painted as well. I don't think that the Panzer III's would have been there , especially in grey. But they fill the scene. My only gripe is that its a bit crowded with figures and vehicles. Maybe the Tiger and 251 plus the pak40 for the Germans and a couple of T34/85's (not 76's) or maybe a IS 2. But overall a great job. Well done.

Well done especially for 72nd scale and your first go!! I build 35th so the detail u put in at 72nd is impressive. One thing to consider when building though is timelines for vehicles and in some cases uniforms. Especially in the case of WW2 Germany.
Hi Lance, Thank you very much for your comment. As it was my 1st attempt I did struggle and kept redoing some vehicles which took a lot of my time. I was trying to get the effects that many modellers like yourself obtain on 1/35 scale, but of course just does not work so well on 1/72 and too small to obtain great detail. I am getting quicker for sure and did the 5 Waffen SS figures in 1 day, which my brother posted too. I appreciate yoru advise and comments, especially as a new comer. I make these for my son who enjoys them, so may do another later this year. Hope you will check the other 2 smaller dioramas I made for him and uploaded on my brother's channel. Jamie
@@jamieuk8286 Hey boss! Sorry I didn't mean how long it takes you to build them! Heck I take FOREVER to do some of mine! I just meant timelines as in when during the war certain equipment and uniforms were used. That's actually my favorite part of modeling is the research I get to to do to put the correct equipment for the period I'm modeling. Minus the few leftovers vehicle types and camo patterns were only used at certain stages of the war.
@@lanceschaerer6875 agghhh Yes I see what you mean now.and understand. With this I never intended to build a diorama and just done some German vehicles that Oscar wanted and once I made the Reichstag I thought of doing this. So was really a done for visual effect for him rather than correct to the date. But yes you are 100% correct and I did I think to myself they would not have had these vehicles at this stage of the war, I agree and appreciate your feedback. I guess this was not planned just added stuff as I went along. You will see with the El Alamein set I painted too both a little over crowded but more for him to look at. Thanks again it all helps and I totally agree. Lucky for me Oscar has not picked up on it yet haha. Jamie

Great work, superb modelling. I would not call it realistic or like real but the modelling went into this shows great skill. Some hints for realism: -German tank models are the wrong ones for Berlin 45 ( actually if any one 1 panther or tiger ) but there haven’t been any real numbers left at all. - air „flag“ / recognition mark was used when German forces had air superiority and advanced, for Berlin 45 no - pak and sdkfz - german positions where fixed and may be abandoned on retreat ( no one drove around like that) - for realism add 6 t34/85 and 400 red infantry .. sowjet infantry outnumbered Germanforces by 500-100 to 1 at the end of the battle for Berlin .. - probably 200 other smaller things and offcourse the „range“ between opponents which is always unreal in modelling But looks really great - like a picture as piece of art we all can live with the fact that it shows a adapt version of what happened
Thank you very much for your comments and hints. I actually made this model for my 12 year old son, who likes these Italeri 1/72 sets and models. I am not a model maker and this was really my first ever diorama having made a few kits for my son. I totally understand your view on comments on realistic features of the set, and although I don't know that much, I was aware that much of the items would not have been used in Berlin 1945 as with the camo patterns on the vehicles and I also painted the German's in early m36 pattern tunics as I prefer the colours. I had no plans on making the diorama, just made the Reichstag and some model tanks Oscar had as gifts and after I finished the Reichstag I thought it would be good to make a small diorama and simply added the tanks and vehicles in which I he had kits of and just added them with no real thought of realistic as it is for my son Oscar as a display in his bedroom rather than any realistic, historically correct display. But yeah all the points made, flag, PAK40 being towed, Tiger tanks, etc I was well aware of as with the camo schemes but it is more for Oscar to enjoy and the tanks he wanted on the set. I am not a model maker and this was really made only for my son and my 1st effort. I really appreciate your comments and tips and agree. Maybe if I ever do another one I will take more time researching. It was never planned just added as I went along and wanted to get as much in as possible. Yes of course the range is too close but again I was limited with space as this sits in hos bedroom and so had to keep it small. I built a display case for it so dust free. Thanks again much appreciated.
As I filmed this outdoors I also thought it did not show the colours that well. So I took another video of it in Oscar's bedroom where he has it on display. This one shows the colours a little better. I actually thought of doing more figures and adding to the scene over time which I may well do so. Hope you will check out the Reichstag video taken indoors that my brother has uploaded here and the other Italeri El Alamein diorama I also made recently for Oscar: ua-cam.com/video/jUtfzRR_YNE/v-deo.html and ua-cam.com/video/3Ihg_OSWhSI/v-deo.html ua-cam.com/video/jZIFWErQTIY/v-deo.html

Thank you fro your comment. It was my first model I made for my son, so just used whatever I had at hand, really. The large shell holes were simply done with turning scalpel knife into the mdf walls to create shell damage and then painted a lighter colour than the building, the smaller bullet holes were just random paint dabs. The pillars are the original ones with the set but I just filled in with modelling clay to make them round like the originals and again just carved into them when dry and then hand painted them. I made model originally and then I noticed it was different in some areas then the original so tried to make it look like the original as I could. I would have changed the front steps but already had them fixed. Once I made it I decided to make the diorama for Oscar, so I kinda just took a chance and added to it as I went along. Thanks for the comment and good luck with the build if you are doing this kit. It is a great kit and a lot for your money too
I just remembered a small screw driver was also used and turned to create shell damage, that worked well. Other additions I did which were not on the original kit and you may find helpful: The carvings on the walls, especially on main roof front, the kit was blanked and I think this is needed so again I just made them with modelling clay. I also added a few statues on top of pillars as on original. I found a larger scale 28mm medieval knights which was closest I could find to originals. Also the roof pieces on the 2 smaller parts either side of main section were very plain looking so I just made them look a little better. You will see on original they have damage holes in but very flat and don't look right. The kit is really good but one last thing was the walls do not have any detail so I had to hand paint the blocks on main walls. Hope this may help you with your build. Thanks again for your kind comments and like, much appreciated. Jamie

Professional cameras have a smooth zoom in and out function. The rest really don't do well. I stabilize the camera and physically move it in and out to avoid the herky jerky motors of the camera. When moving the video camera, slow movements rule. Use the pause, then stop button regularly. It's easier to string them together for a video that deal with on continuous video that has parts you don't want. Just as if on set. Film the same thing three times or so. Jamie

Hey boss!
Jamie
What a great work! Love it! Congrats :)
Thanks for the comment. As this was filmed outside the sunshine gave the model a yellow colour and did not show the original colours too well. So I did another one indoors which shows the correct colours much better. Hope you will have a look ua-cam.com/video/jUtfzRR_YNE/v-deo.html
Thanks again for your comments and support. I hope you will enjoying viewing the latest diorama I made for Oscar ua-cam.com/video/3Ihg_OSWhSI/v-deo.html
Great work, superb modelling. I would not call it realistic or like real but the modelling went into this shows great skill.
Some hints for realism:
-German tank models are the wrong ones for Berlin 45 ( actually if any one 1 panther or tiger ) but there haven’t been any real numbers left at all.
- air „flag“ / recognition mark was used when German forces had air superiority and advanced, for Berlin 45 no
- pak and sdkfz - german positions where fixed and may be abandoned on retreat ( no one drove around like that)
- for realism add 6 t34/85 and 400 red infantry .. sowjet infantry outnumbered Germanforces by 500-100 to 1 at the end of the battle for Berlin ..
- probably 200 other smaller things and offcourse the „range“ between opponents which is always unreal in modelling
But looks really great - like a picture as piece of art we all can live with the fact that it shows a adapt version of what happened
No dead and wounded! Nevertheless a good job!😊
There are about a dozen dead Russians. Maybe just hard to spot, but they are there if take a closer look.

Love this work! Super impressive, how did you create the bullet impacts on the front? And with which pillars did you replace the originals? Thanks!
Jamie
@@jamieuk8286 thanks!! I would love to know how you managed to make those bricks. I don’t think I’ll be able to make them as well as these

@@jamieuk8286 What I can offer for end result is more light inside will give you better resolution. Outdoors, try in the middle of the day in the shade. Direct sun light can cause issues. . You should have one decent clip. Move on to the next segment. Section by section of you build. Drop an audio track on it. If you need a reference try NCH Photostage editing. It's very straight forward and pretty easy to implement. Already set up for youtube. I use it on my videos and it's got plenty of features for non pro customers like us.
@@thefoodmercenary Thank you for the tips, they are really helpful and I shall try them next time. I did the last one very quickly and using Oscar's iphone which I am not familiar with, I will have a better look at it next time and find the pause function haha.
