Enjoy hearing your thoughts and commentary, especially how you break down things. Hawks looking real good going forward. See you next year, keep it up!
I’m here for the nuance and Brads that guy. People who say “risacher is a bust” aren’t tuned in, it’s that simple. Probably the same people who constantly criticize trae young
Trae Young had a 98.7 points per shot attempt in the first part of his rookie season. I wouldn't worry about his shot yet. His processing on offense is solid and of course the defense is great.
You will have 3-5 years with ZR. The defense and iq will always give him a floor to be a rotation piece. He still needs to make shots but the jumpshot should give people confidence and he isn’t scared to cut/ go to the basket for a 19 year old sub 200 pound forward.
Great pod as always Brad your hawks info coming in is my go to all the time! Very optimistic for 2025 with life our guys and everything enjoy the new year!
the only argument for washington being the best fit would’ve been that he wanted to start and play more right away to each their own, but if i was a 19 year old big, id want to play with trae young
@@LockedOnHawks that's what I didn't understand with his logic. There is no big in the NBA that wouldn't want to play with Trae "everyone eats" Young.... Except Alex Sarr.... Truly a boneheaded decision imo.
Brad you are the reliable good news on the Atlanta sports scene. The Falcons are such a tragic plane crash . Also I can root for the Lakers having a comparable season ending crash into mediocrity
"Not everyone is a UGA fan, im not a UGA fan" 🤭 - What a complete shock. We had no clue you were a traitor😛....Actually now would be a good time for you to explain yourself since we have let it slide for years! haha! Happy New year my guy.
First, I didn’t say he was “so great.” He was a quality NBA player for a decade-plus. Josh Smith was one of the 5-10 best defenders in the league at one point and was a very good player who had one big flaw.
i think you're too low on sarr this season, i wouldn't say he hasn't been "good at all" real impact on defense and has had good flashes on offense but at the end of the day the wizards are terrible they dont even have a real pg, if trae had a long 7 footer that can run, dunk, and play good defense sarr would look like a roty lock rn no doubt.
Hell no. Sarr is so bad at rebounding, he's a massive liability at 5. Also, Trae needs a pick and roll partner with good feel, sarr doesn't do pick and roll well at all. Id rather have a humble hardworking 19 yr old Risacher as a project than Sarr with a character problem. (I see Sarr like a Cam Reddish who'd eventually ask for a trade because he wants a bigger role so early in his career.)
I’ve always liked his defense and still think he’ll be good, but as I said on the pod, Sarr has been one of the 10 worst players in the league by EPM. His metrics are brutal pretty much across the board. It’s also fine! He’s a rookie and rookies are bad. And yes, the wizards are atrocious which doesn’t help him
Risacher has heart, zion has gut. they aren’t even remotely comparable in mindset or professionals. Zions had years to improve in any aspect, and the only gains have been weight, zero development of his game. Most would describe it as regression. If ZR never improves at anything, becomes chronically injured, gets a case of pornstar addiction, and nearly eats his way out of his potential and shows weak effort or motivation then there would be comparisons.
@@marambula Risacher's closer to Giannis tbh. If you watch his drives, it's very similar but of course Risacher is a stick right now. Gonna need to put on a lot of muscle in the off season.
If Zacc isn't here, Hunter isn't coming off of the bench and scoring 20+ a night. He's doing just fine, and the shot will fall soon enough.
The shot is already falling based on only the past few games. But he'll need a lot more of these games throughout the year to improve his averages.
This 💯
The Hunter Zac combo will be deadly for us in the future

Appreciate you also for all your detailed coverage! Happy New Year!

Brad, I’m with you 100% in your judgements and data making the conclusions you’ve made. 😮😮
Here’s to a strong 2025 hawks fans. Thank you Brad for all the hawks content 🎉🎉
Thanks!

Yep way too early to worry about the shot. Tried to make that clear

A very happy new year to you and your family Brad. Thank you for all you do
Thank you again for your continued excellent coverage of this team Brad! Happy New Year to you and your family my good sir!
Thanks!
Zacc will be fine. I don’t care what the box score watchers say nor should you guys
Agreed 💯 if you actually watch the games he’s contributing in so many categories

@brad I love your podcast bud but please try to slow down a little bit so I can understand what you're saying
I do try lol might want to crank it down on the playback speed
Does the injury to Nance put the Capela rumors on a trade on a hold
I’ve been pushing back on those anyway but i do think it makes a Capela deal less likely
I wonder if Alex sarr still thinking Washington is the best fit for him 😓😂
the only argument for washington being the best fit would’ve been that he wanted to start and play more right away

Any chance the Hawks use the Murray trade exception to get someone?
More likely to use that in offseason if they do. They’re capped at the first apron even if they somehow decided to pay the tax
Cool thanks Brad

Hawks need to check with New Orleans for Zion Williamson. The Hawks need a PF that can be a help at rim protection and boards.
The starting power forward, Jalen Johnson, for the Hawks is a better rebounder and a better rim protector than Zion.
Oh and My PrizePicks account would like to say thank you for all that you do! 😏

lol happy new year, i grew up as the michigan fan in georgia so you can imagine how that went
respectfully brad, i never want to see that shirt again
you will probably see it again lol
(But i appreciate you watching)
Cody Zeller, Get ready for your Lance Stephenson arc.
Marvin Williams was trash….
Incorrect! You don’t make 800+ starts in the NBA if you’re trash lol

Zacc could be a Zion and instead of being productive Hawk he could be an albatross.
And your Aunt could become your Uncle. What a weird comparison Zacch has been healthy and productive
