- The Running Sinker is the Easiest Rig to tie for any fishing situation, beach, surf, boat or rock...... and there's 2 ways to tie them !
Remember every situation is different and the size of line and type of hook is governed on the fish you're targeting and the environment you're fishing !!!
For the First and Easiest Rig all you need is :
Line of Preferred Weight
x1 Swivel
X1 Bean Sinker
X1 Lumo Bead
X1 Hook
The Second and Preferred Running Sinker Rig for Surf Fishing :
Line of Preferred Weight
X2 Swivels
X2 Lumo Beads
X1 Running Sinker Clip
X1 Hook

Thanks champ! Very easy to understand and straight to the point!

Great presentation. Quick Straight to the point. Never thought if using 100# mono. Will try here in Baja California.
That's cool to know someone is watching from America !! Thanks for watching !
The 1st rig, we call that a Knocker Rig in Florida.. Very effective for Grouper & Snapper
Liked both rigs and specially the second rig
Thanks for all the tutorials!!

Great tutorial moite
Cheers Josh 👍
That’s brilliant!!!!!
Hope it helped 👍
I used these with the Team Catfish weight slides to make a ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxdmsDj7fQXe77DC0l7P7ua8B3PiESUubM Carolina rig and they were perfect for the ponds I fish. I have also used them to make 3 way rigs and these work perfectly. Haven't had any issues with them snagging in rocks or in weeds yet.
Love these
Which do you prefer using ?
@@auslifeandy the first one is definitely easier, and is definitely awesome in the surf, the second one is sick for mullys, sharks etc and with the weight can really get it out far! To answer: Number 2
@@offroadfishing same ! much prefer2
Really interesting Andy. Would it be worth having a lumo bead next to the hook as well as either side of the sinker on the second rig?
100% mate I sometimes put them on but not all the time. Same on the paternoster I used them to help with tangles if used
I got a beach fishing rod for my birthday and want to use it but have not had anytime yet
Good luck and hope you hook up 👍
@@auslifeandy cheers I might go tomorrow afternoon so I will let you know
That second rig looks good to me, I'll make half a dozen on the weekend if the weather is bad. Could you put a running hook on there if you are using a bigger bait like squid or a Pilly?
yeah mate or tie a couple snelled hooks !
Thanks for this, how long does the leader line need to be?
75cm
The first option I have a question do you think that bead close to the hook might make the fish abit skeptical?
I don’t think so mate a lot of the time the bright colours attract them I believe
Can i use circle sinkers for the 1st method?
Yeah mate
What size swivels and star sinkers do you use?
Depends on the conditions, either 6oz star or 8 Oz grapple sinker for the beaches I fish usually mate
Got a surf rod now, time to get serious
Sounds good ! What did you go for ?
