The blades dps is naaaasty I've been having tons of fun learning it this patch. I'm happy to have another fighter on the list that's "worth" flying for pvp. Cheers!
Interesting. I had a Blade for years before finally giving up on it. It was always the most nimble ship in my fleet (almost too agile for my liking - a 'precision instrument' indeed !), but I couldn't kill anything with it and it blew up if you sneezed. Clearly it's been buffed; I might have to get it back (I did always love how it looked). Thanks for the video o7
Ships aside - a large part of group combat is about having one person who can make the right judgements and also make the right calls. Without it, you're just a bag of spanners. (EDIT - as you rightly say at the end of the video)
I bought the Blade with the stipend as a "what ship should I buy that I never would otherwise" just so I could check it out in the hangar. I love watching these videos but will never be good at PVP. I am cranking on some PvE bounties and it seems unreal in a ship that I figured was only for the showroom.
Me and my org way underestimated people using the blade and paid for it last night. That thing is scary and I'd not done my due diligence figuring out it's strengths and weaknesses.
Curious - the pitch, yaw, and bottom thrusters seem highly variable in the Misc Reliant series depending the flight mode you are in. Have you experimented with this? I wonder if that can be used in combat. In landing mode you can use your main engines (pointing down) to zoom up vertical really quickly, but your pitch is dodgy (and messes you up in atmo), but yaw and roll are good. In the wing flat mode (like landing mode, but with main engines pointing out the back) you have really good roll and yaw, and good forward acceleration. In "normal" mode, where the wing is vertical, you have good roll and good pitch but rubbish yaw. Obviously this is the most traditional arrangement, and feels bast for normal pitch-into-aiming. But pressing "K" in combat to roll the wing seems interesting. Could it give some benefit? Certainly the landing mode seems awesome for dodging missiles as that upward boost from the main engines is massive.
Honest question, what alien race do you want to see get a much more fleshed out ship lineup? I ask because the thought of Avenger_One going into the game as a Vanduul player (I don't think that's possible but it would be dope) instantly makes the future of the UEE seem less certain. I fear the Kingship that will have you as a squadron leader. I'd personally like to see Tevarin ships explored more, see what "civilian" ships look like and what their idea of critter comforts is, and what their culture was like before the UEE assimilated them. Low-key wish Tevarin had the means to engineer new and improved ships for themselves, but lore states that's extremely unlikely.
The Blade needs to be given some nasty flight characteristics so that only those willing to learn its nuances can take advantage of its true potential. Make people hate flying it unless they are willing to spend time learning it.

I struggle so much to see the radar in the blade that my situational awareness falls to shit lol, but I'm going to keep practicing using it until I know wtf is going on around me 🤣
@@UncleBenjs i m not joking, i play arena all days on blade, if you whant to be stronger, you need to push youre self in harder position, but you can go yeasy road - change to khartu all, its the same meta, but you need to fly better on this ship.
@@oldman1111 I mean, watching all of Avenger's videos might be considered training... When I watched History channel's Dog Fights 🛩️, I was able to apply all the maneuvers I learned when playing War Thunder and got a hell of a lot better. So I'm hoping the same will happen here. Lol
That's ok. Bigger dreams have been crushed faster before😉 these teamplay vids are very informative, and i think it's smart to break it down after a whole showing
"light fighter meta" is not simply that a single light fighter is better than a heavy... its that per person involved, 2 light fighters are better than one heavy under normal circumstances. no matter what A1 shows, his gameplay is beyond the normal. while this shows clearly the advantages of 2 vs 1 ship, if the roles were reversed the outcome would be identical. remember this if you argue one meta over the other as A1 and a partner would kill you reguardless of what they flew.
don`t care metas, or own take at top skills - care your team flying with you only! No matter if i can kill A1, matter only what my org team can do and what can`t, bc on relise the game will not single player mode, you can fight alone and kill many people even 1 vs Х players but end will be the same - lost.
My favorite part of this video was when A1 looked directly into the camera and said his signature phrase "it's bladin' time" and bladed all over those guys
I would consider leading the video some of the material starting at 14:17. It would provide some intro and context to your videos and make your videos more accessible. It is kind of a weakness of your presentation style. Poor introduction.

I love the VLS (vertical launch system) style missile system on the Blade, wish more ships would use something like that
So increasing ammo speed was the solution for the current combat problem! Who would have guessed it!
