If you DIY, you can make a roof top tent that fits the roof of the X-Trail. However, it took me a lot of time to complete.

ハシゴはまだ購入していないので、後ろのテーブルから上がってテントに入り込んでいます。
いずれリアゲートにハシゴを付ける事になるとは思います。

Your tent is beautiful! I have a couple of questions. How much does it weigh? Considering the fact that you have lifted the car, doesn't the additional weight affect the vehicle stability when driving?

When installing the rooftop tent, fix it to the base carrier, etc. but that method will cause the center of gravity to rise and it will become unstable. The weight of my tent is 50kg, but the center of gravity is low because it is fixed so that it is not separated from the roof as much as possible. The vehicle will not be unstable

Did you test it already on the rain? I mean fixing of lower edges of the fabric in the top frame groves.
Not used on a rainy day yet. Since the fixing position of the dough is changed to the upper part, I think it can prevent the ingress of water.
Thanks for the answer. I am afraid only of long stay a rain water inside of the fixing groves. So please check it and advise if possible.

Which type of rubber sealant did you use between the aluminum profiles? Can you post some pictures with that detail too?
No sealant is applied between the aluminum profiles. If you hold down the honeycomb panel with an L-shaped angle and tighten the bolts, water will not leak.
Where did you get the back window vents for fresh air?
I made it myself, I have posted production videos in the past.

I bought it from a Japanese company. Search for Honeycomb Panels and find a distributor in your country. The size is the same as the frame length 2060mmx1260mm

When you sleep inside the roof tent in the evening is dark, why you didn't connect the light inside taking power from your auxiliary battery?
We will install a light in the tent in the future. Currently I am using a small light that can be connected via USB.
Do you have a link for the laches that you used? Have been searching for these things for a while now, but with no luck.
The lock latch used is for fixing the seat of another vehicle.

Really good RTT, I started to make mold and make it from fiberglass, but I changed the plan because of the weight of final rtt which I don't like, so I think to do it like you with aluminium profiles Bosh Rexroth . Can you please write, what are your sizes of frame? Aluminium profiles are 30x60mm? 195x127cm will be my dimensions of the frame. Great work and Thank you!

The aluminum profile size is 30x60mm and 2000mm and 1200mm are used. This length is the inner size. Since the corner aluminum is 30 mm on one side, the outer diameter is 1260 mm x 2060 mm.
@@HeadwayDrive Thank you for your answer. So when it's closed on 12cm height it can fit pillows, blanket and stairs? I need to know all that before order the all parts. I thought maybe to go with 30x30mm alu profile on upper panel but I'm afraid it will be to tin to feet all necessary.

When 30x60mm is closed in two steps, a height of 90mm can be secured inside. I think you can store ladders and blankets as they are. Pillows may not fit depending on the height. If you use 30x30mm for the top, you should use 60mm for the bottom. It is better to secure at least 90mm of internal space.
What are the specifications of honeycomb panel you used ?
Material that is used in panel is Aluminum or PP or any other ?
The honeycomb panel is 9.7mm PP. The edges are surrounded by aluminum L-angles and fixed with bolts. Although it is not caulked, there is no water leakage.

Im really interested in this design. @2:23 you said “all the pipes in the dough...”. What does this mean? Is this in reference to how the tent is attached to the slot in the aluminum extrusion?
Aluminum pipes are used to fix the tent fabric. Pass the pipe through the fabric and insert it into the groove of the aluminum frame.

Its weird that Nissan UK give both static and dynamic roof load weights as the same??
Although each vehicle roof has a defined load limit, it is within the range where commercial rooftop tents can be placed. In addition, since it is designed to support with 4 basic points, it should be possible to load items exceeding 100 kg.
By the way, this rooftop tent weighs 55 kg.
When did you get the Mitsu L300 ? was it before the Xtrail ?
In Japan it is named Delica Star Wagon. This has been owned by my father for 25 years.
HEADWAY-DRIVE impressive. Was trying to get one from Chubu Mitsubishi in 豊橋... To replace my D:5 DiD... But they are not helpfull...
The D5 has become a separate item, with a more luxurious atmosphere such as the body structure, interior, and exterior, and is suitable for urban areas.
Older models are more off-road
HEADWAY-DRIVE yes... based on the... 2007 outlander... still for the 2020 model :-(
and a number of safety recalls that would make a Russian car owner proud...
The good thing is you can find spare parts on the side ditch of most japanese roads after they fell from another D:5...

表面はナイロンで裏に白いゴムを貼りつけてあるものです。

Great Job! I'm also building the same tent. Could you post a link for the latches? also did you have to use any sealant between the roof and the panel?
You're doing a good job. The lock catch uses the SUZUKI Every front seat lock buckle. Since the top plate is held by an aluminum angle, no sealing is used.

How did you seal the floor panel?
The floor panel is only placed on the aluminum frame and is not sealed. The gap between the aluminum frame and the panel is within 1 mm. Since there is no need to seal with this specification, it is left as it is.

The origin of my rooftop tent is the Tacoma camper from Ripcord. m.ua-cam.com/video/1iiZJ7xa0jk/v-deo.html The same aluminum frame is used. It will be very helpful if your vehicle is a truck. If you want to equip an SUV like me with a shell type, the Gofast Campers rooftop tent will be helpful.

This is considered a good design. It is helpful because I am also considering installing an FF heater.
