A very nice video again!!! From my personal experience here in North Greece zone 8a I NEVER dig out my cannas from the ground! I just leave them either in pots or in the ground and each year they are coming back stronger and better! Moreover, the ones that I have them on the ground they almost get only rainfall during the summer and they cope well with the extreme temperatures and the drought climate! In conclusion they are hard to kill plants and need no care , and especially you don't need to dig them out from the ground!
Just dug up my canna. 2 single bulbs and 2 triple bulbs. So eight bulbs total. After separating and cutting up the individual pieces I ended up with 225 new bulbs for next year. Insane!
I dug mine up and replanted it in a pot in soil and put it in the brightest window inside the house over the winter and in the spring replanted then outside. Over the winter the leaves stayed nice and green they just didn’t flower of course but they are doing pretty well. Next time i will try it your way. Thank you for the great tips ❤️
So I’ve had problems winterizing my canna lilies and I didn’t know why I would let them dry out cut them down like she did and I put them in a paper bag and then I put them in my garage guess who just told me where my mistake was you so thank you very much they’ll be going in my basement not my garage and hopefully they’ll survive and I don’t have to spend $50 on canna lilies again thank you
those cannas are HUGE and absolutely beautiful!
They are! Right!?

That awesome
Now that you’ve dug them up, how about some information on how to store them over the winter?

Let me know how you make out! Good luck!
I put mine in an unheated garage and the kept wonderfully.
Suggestion you could cut the top's off before pulling the bulbs out of the container.
Thanks!!
