can i put them in a paper bag without adding anything else? I seen another video that stored them in peat moss in a bag or box? It looked like dry peat.
@@Redflowers456 That should be fine. The key is to keep them cool enough that they don’t sprout, but warm enough that they don’t freeze. A bag will work fine, if placed in a good location.
I let my rhizomes initially dry, removed the dirt, and then let them dry a few more days. Then I loosely wrapped in old newspaper and put them into some cardboard boxes (from Costco!j and put them in the garage. For my plants in pots, I just cut them down and put them in my unheated garage. My garage rarely gets below 30’F. What I particularly love about canna Lillie’s, is that the deer (who eat everything in my yard) don’t bother the cannas.
