The video is live, the audio is from the studio. They did it that way because the audio recorded from the actual performance had too much noise from the pyrotechnics and bleedover from other performances happening simultaneously at the festival. There are three live performances with live audio out there of this song currently: one from their appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live, one from vevo studios, and one from MTV Push. All are excellent, though the vevo studios recording is my favorite :)
Studio version sound, video was from the music festival in Monterrey, and the premier live performance of this song. Also, the eclipse in the background was within a few days of the real eclipse, plus it being called automatic sun tied it all together very nicely - thank you very much!!! They had about 3 drones up to film this performance (as well as stage and stage front camera's), in a couple of stage shots you can see a drone or two if you are looking for them. What I particularly like is the creative use of the fisheye lens to turn the audience in to the sun shape with the stage/band in the middle - awesome!
The reason this song is so Heavy is: Dany the guitar player of The Warning is playing a Baritone Guitar Tuned to Drop A and Ali's Bass is Also Drop Tuned to A. For most of the new album they use the Baritone Guitar or a drop tunning. 🔥 🔥 🔥
Not to be 'that guy' but It's played and recorded in standard tuning EADGBE. I think you might have read that it was, as you said "tuned to drop A" and got a bit confused. Dany 6-string is standard tuning, Ali Bass is, as you correctly said, tuned to a 'Drop A', and the song is in the key of Bm. Drop A works well in this instance and both tunings work great in Bm. For MONEY she recorded it w/ her PRS Custom+ layering w/ a 2003 Gibson Les Paul Baritone (which I think the producer brought to the recordings) so she may have used that again for Automatic Sun. IDK. Anyway, hope that's helpful. The Warning = amazing band.
They dropped this video on April 5th. The Eclipse was April 8th, though they claim in interviews that it was a complete coincidence. Pau seems to alternate between hi-hat + snare, tom + snare, and ride + snare so there isn't a consistent groove sound. (I am not a drummer so that is my un-informed reason for why the drums sound different lol)
Haha I mean they may not have thought about the ecplipse so in their mind of releasing it, it could have just been unrelated and then oh wow, eclipse. Sometimes things just happen like that. I think she plays very uniquely on quite a few songs and that's what gives it that added power

Yeah someone said that there was just too much noise happening for the live performance to use it, which is unfortunate. This was a great way to go about it too
They released this video on the actual date of the solar eclipse this year. They are creating an eclipse in the video when they use the fish eye lens on the drone.
Studio music over a live performance. It's an old school video to match their old school rock and roll. There are a bunch of drones. One of them has a 360 degree lens.
This was awesome. The Warning was not even on the main stage. I feel bad for the group on the main stage. Most of the people went to see the Warning. Wishing I had been there.
Be sure to watch Hell You Call A Dream live from the Pepsi Center CDMX together. Since you like heavier, watch Queen of the Murder Scene from the Teatro Metroplitan concert. The large orange image on the screen was the sun as seen through a special filter. The distorted imagery of the crowd resembles images of gravitational lenses. FYI: Daniela is playing a Fender baritone guitar in drop A tuning and Alejandra's bass is in the same drop A tuning. Which gives it that heavy distorted, grungy sound.
The timing from the concert to video release to eclipse is pretty remarkable. The P’al Norte concert was Easter Sunday, March 31 which was the world premier of this song. They were filming with 3 drones, 2 camera men on stage and other mounted cameras. They produced and released the video from the concert in 4 days and 1 hour at midnight April 4/5. The eclipse was then released around 3 and a half days later (close to mid-day on April 8). The Warning was great in this concert but the video production crew deserve a gold medal for this video.
Studio audio over live video, same thing they did with the video for "Money" The song was not written for the eclipse, Pau said it was a beautiful coincidence that it happened. Marketing did take advantage of it though, releasing the song on Friday before the Monday eclipse. Video was recorded the weekend before, less than a week turnaround. My favorite song on the album, and the ladies said it is their favorite to play. The Warning have posted track by track videos on their channel, explaining each song, for the Keep Me Fed album.

This video was made using the in Live presentation with the audio of the studio version, mostly for better audio but their performance was top notch. Also, this presentation was 4 days before the last solar eclipse in North America and they used that for the effects even though the song has nothing to do with the eclipse, it was just coincidence as they said.
Great reaction. It's been my favorite for months now, and that's saying something because all their new stuff is top tier. They have started releasing songs from their major show at the Pepsi Center in Mexico City last year. Although only a couple of their new songs were played, the performance will be legendary. So good. Anything on their channel with Pepsi Center is guaranteed next level. Their live performance abilities are uncanny. Thanks, and remember to roll the video back 5 seconds or so when you pause.
This isn't their heaviest. Sharks crushes this. Even going back to Z, or Six Feet Deep even, still harder. Does Apologize come up? Oh yeah. All I have to say is that the songs they are dropping from The Pepsi Center, may be their best live yet. You are going to hear the crowd. They drowned out the music at times. This band surprises me around every turn. Songs I've heard dozens of times take on new life at the next venue. This is what music used to be. #Automatic Sun... The Warning have come a LONG way since their inception in 2013. Their initial EP, 2015's *Escape the Mind,* was remarkable because it was their first effort at song writing and composing. They were 15, 13, and 10. It helped get them into Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA, for a six week summer session in 2015. The concert in June, 2015, at Liceo de Monterrey, their school, has that content. They returned to Mexico and worked on their first full album, which they independently produced and crowd funded! *XXI Century Blood* is shockingly good. Don't overlook it, or the Dakota Bar 2018 concert! Their second album effort was a monumental goal of writing, composing, recording, and producing a rock novel concept album, *Queen of the Murder Scene.* It is a masterpiece, again independently produced and crowd funded. It was released in November 2018, Live at Lunario, when they were 18, 16, and 13! I had it on repeat for a week when I got the CD. The pandemic slowed the band down a bit, but in 2020, they spent seven months negotiating a record deal with Lava/Republic. Their first release by Lava ultimately became *Error,* released in June, 2022. They had previously released half of it as an EP, *Mayday.* The concert at Teatro Metropolitan, CDMX (Mexico City) 08/29/2022, is the epic live show presenting that album and some of their earlier songs. DO NOT miss that concert video! It is one of the best concert videos on the Internet. Their latest album was written with the help of some outsiders, one of whom also produced it. *Keep Me Fed* is getting rave reviews. They are touring to promote it, although they still haven't quite performed all the songs live. All that said, LIVE performance is one of their superpowers, and they want to do it right! Their other superpowers seem to be song writing, composition, singing, individual prowess on their instruments, and a tenacious ability to set goals and achieve them. The band is a family unit, with near full-time support from their parents, plus a core team of others who travel and tour with them. They have a very busy tour schedule that extends into next year. They have three more albums to go on their contract with Lava.
