My main concern is with the weight tension glitching and maxing out mid bench, squat, or overhead press as this could cause major injuries. What type of safety measures are in place to ensure this doesn't happen?

There is a safety disconnect that does occur. However, I’ll have to dig in and see what prompts the software to do this.
Recommendation of this or the Total Gym Fit w/ additional weights/bands?
