denis bezjak eeee its rare cuz the guys from old bands they all have kids and wifes and lives aka stuff more inportant then fans!!i just watched a documentary about that i forgot how its called:(!u from Slovenija!?
I see it in local shows, but big bands seem to be so serious, I love the jumping around, and idiotic grinning in music, it's just rare to see in more popular music.
I don't even think this so g is about partying, despite how awesome of a time they're having playing it. Seems like it's about unrequited love and drinkings the only way to chill that pain out. Deep shit for such a poppy jam. Classic tune.
Man, I'm a total metalhead, but this stuff is really great. It is great music, and all the players are rather skilled at their instruments. And, I'm a total sucker for brass. :p
As a fellow metalhead that grew up on thrash and death metal, I can say ska/ska-punk always had a special place in my heart. As much as I love bands like rotting christ, pantera, sodom, unleashed, tankard,.. .. NOTHING beats a good ska show!
Reel Big Fish, Aquabats, and Goldfinger are easily some of the most happy, uplifting bands you can listen to. Just skank those awkward teenage years away!
fuckin music these days makes me sick.. people making fuckin millions off of 5 word 4 minute songs.. they literally repeat themselves to a beat... its a fuckin disgrace....
best thing about Reel Big Fish live....everyone in the crowd is there for the same reason, to enjoy a kickass band and skank and have a good time. I saw them yesterday at nassau colliseum and they put on an amazing set.
I absolutly LOVE this song!! I'm 31 and discovered it when I was about 16 - My bog brother had an american exchange friend that lived in Australia and he introduced us to the AWESOME world the RBF and the ska music world !
My dad took me to see these guys (at my request) and genuinely liked them. He’s a “picky eater” when it comes to rock n roll, but he legitimately dug them! Legends
I saw Reel Big Fish with Zebrahead a LONG time ago. They were so cool they let me sit on the on the front of the stage beside the monitors, and told my brother to play a few bars of bass. He's never touched a guitar in his life. Needless to say, it was one of the best nights of my life.
Crazy to think this live album was recorded in the studio and played on top of footage from various shows and we just fell for it. Still, this is my favorite version of the song
I saw them tonight in north Carolina!!!!!!! I got to meet Aaron after the show and have him autograph my shirt!!! He's awesome. Great show. Goldfinger kicked ass to
On a whim, I just purchased tickets to see these guys live in Melbourne tonight. The doors open in two hours, so I just ran to the shop, bought a crate of beer and am now sitting listening to this song whilst drinking beer. Life is good, and don't let anyone ever tell you otherwise.
I finally got to see these guys live back on February 12th in Pensacola. I had a freaking blast. I was dancing, singing my heart out, and jumping up and down for most of the show. They are tied with Alice Cooper and Pearl Jam for my favorite live act of all time.
Seeing them in ft. lauderdale in August. Totally stoked!! First time going to a show with my little cuz (she's all growed up now) I'm extremely excited!!
I don't like today's songs, but I realize I like these much better, along with different punk rock artists. Idk, today its this that these songs portray: weed, fuckin lots of bitches, world problems ( or at least, their vision of it ) and the meaning of fun is...different, these older songs from when I was super young feel more real to me. Heck, today's version of fun almost looks fake and alot of people are looking for nostalgia on the internet... We can't make our own fun through music anymore?
been a fan of them for a while and went to see them live the other day. I was expecting them to be pretty good but really pretty fun, cuz i mostly go to metal and hardcore gigs....i think it is fair to say they completely blew my expectations live out of the water
Last time I saw them was 3 or so days after Aaron had his surgery...and he wasn't full dance mode, but it was still an awesome show!! Streetlight was there!!
I've watched this specific video a few times, I was just watching nereids beware in ventura in 06, scrolled through your videos to find the rest of that show and this was uploaded right before the chiodos videos. small world
Other bands that were around locally(Orange County, California) at this time were: Jeffries Fan Club, Five Iron Frenzy, The Aquabats, The Supertones, No Questions Asked, Luckie Strike, Save Ferris, Suburban Legends, Homegrown, the Royalties, Rx Bandits aka the Pharmaceutical Bandits.. . Man, talk about a blast from the past! All these bands bring back so many find high school memories! Cheers.
I really hope to see these guys in concert sometime next year. For the longest time, the only song I had heard from them was their cover of "take on me." They were supposed to be at 311's pow wow music festival, but had to cancel due to Aaron being in the hospital with some life threatening issues. Since last october (2011) I have bought 3 of their studio albums and one of the compilation sets and I must say I am really hooked on these guys now. I hope to own all of their albums real soon.
I feel really late on the subject, it is sad to see Scott leave :( but mad props to him for making the best decision for his child. The music biz is no life for a child. Hopefully after a few years we will see Scotty once again tearing it up as he did on so many occasions. I feel so privileged to have seen RBF twice with Scotty in the band. I'll remain the huge Reel Big Fish fan that I am. Goodluck with everything Scotty!
This is such fun music man. We were spoiled back then.
This song still gets me so hyped I can play it over and over. The nostalgia gets me high…brings me back to better days.
And still to this day lol
@@tophermaximus1478 just played it again! AMAZING!!
Amen brother same here
Amen to that.
I’m right there with ya brother man!! Maybe not better days, but definitely phenomenal days nonetheless!
They look so happy playing, that's so rare in music now, I love it.
u have to go to more shows... cuse everyone is loving to play music!
denis bezjak eeee its rare cuz the guys from old bands they all have kids and wifes and lives aka stuff more inportant then fans!!i just watched a documentary about that i forgot how its called:(!u from Slovenija!?

@@andybologovsky1120 You're right. It's a great song but at the time it came out all I could think about was the girl who broke my heart at the time.
I've seen these guys many times and this is what you can expect every time. They never do a bad show.
Thats pretty cool
Man, I'm a total metalhead, but this stuff is really great. It is great music, and all the players are rather skilled at their instruments. And, I'm a total sucker for brass. :p

Sooooo gooooodddddd
I use to love metal but am more into Hardcore and Frenchcore these days. Still tho, I agree, this is great.
15yo comment but...I totally agree man. Love me some metal but ska-punk is tops.
same but this bassline is too good
Reel Big Fish, Aquabats, and Goldfinger are easily some of the most happy, uplifting bands you can listen to. Just skank those awkward teenage years away!
I swear this band sounds even more amazing live.
"YO Pierce, I hear your sister's goin' out with SQUEAK!"
"Hows that a pysch out man"
you gotta say totally fucked up shit
Why's me going out with her sister totally fucked up?!
“You guys rip on me 13 or 14 more times, and I’m out of here!
Lmao
This IS the live version of the song. That's how awesome they are.
Scott's backing vocals toward the end there send chills down my spine. He will be missed and never forgotten.
I prefer this version to the studio
My buddy and his band covered this song today. So much fun to play!
I don't care what anyone says, ill bring ska back mself if I have to.. I miss my old ska band,
You don't have to do it alone brotha man!
I will help

Let the ska army rise !
fuckin music these days makes me sick.. people making fuckin millions off of 5 word 4 minute songs.. they literally repeat themselves to a beat... its a fuckin disgrace....
In the 1990's, we had too much fun, it's now time to act like it's 1998 again.
Let’s have ourselves a beer 🍻
2020?
I think i have my self a bucket of beer🤣
Drove out to Montebello, Quebec from Detroit, Michigan a weekend ago to see RBF. 12 times now. skank on~

Well we will see. I see a lot of kids playing the old punk and ska bands you never know.
@@wulfriksletsplays6620 Was going to say teh same, I think it happened lol.
best thing about Reel Big Fish live....everyone in the crowd is there for the same reason, to enjoy a kickass band and skank and have a good time. I saw them yesterday at nassau colliseum and they put on an amazing set.
hes so good that at 2:11 the solo continues even after hes grabbed the microphone. True skill and craft at his instrument!!
If a doctor told me I had cancer and had 2 months to live, and this song started playing in the background, I'd start dancing and singing
I love this band anytime im in a bad mood they cheer me up
Still here in 2023 jamming! Timeless .
I love drinking beer while listening to this song.
***** High five!
I love drinking this song while listening to beer
Just opened a beer to listen to this
I absolutly LOVE this song!! I'm 31 and discovered it when I was about 16 - My bog brother had an american exchange friend that lived in Australia and he introduced us to the AWESOME world the RBF and the ska music world !

Still one of my favorite songs. Rock on 90's!!
this song never gets old.
Seen them live 5 times and it never gets old! I love this band so much, I go to every show they have in my area.
I'm actually in shock at just how good this video is. One of the best live performances i've seen! :D
I saw Reel Big Fish with Zebrahead a LONG time ago. They were so cool they let me sit on the on the front of the stage beside the monitors, and told my brother to play a few bars of bass. He's never touched a guitar in his life. Needless to say, it was one of the best nights of my life.
Man I forgot about this song. So many teen hours spent listening on repeat I forgot where it starts and ends. Need this as the theme to our channel!
Crazy to think this live album was recorded in the studio and played on top of footage from various shows and we just fell for it. Still, this is my favorite version of the song

Drank BEER back in 06', still hammering 11yrs later, now i'm 25. Great song! Whoo hoo hoo
I have not been the same since I went to my first Reel Big Fish show which was in February 2013.
I love the way Aaron smiles after Dan yells "Beer." You can tell he's having a genuine good time.
Aaron is actually quite a talented guitarist... He makes it all look so easy!
ive seen these guys play sooo many times but this song ALWAYS brings the house down!
Wish my generation listen to ska more.
Fuck what others do, do it for yourself.
FIJI Delta Iota anthem. This song was in the background for many of the best times of my life. Thanks much Reel Big Fish

@senshara I'm gonna have to disagree with you on that one. Anyone that's seen them in concert knows they're tryin to have more than a decent time.
This really is one of the happiest songs to listen to...no matter what mood...
I miss the days when you could sing several bars of straight "Whoa"
I need a replay button. Hear the song 24 hours a day and you will never have again bad mood. :D
