I’m guessing you’ve wrapped up this channel now. Thanks for the videos. They’re gold dust for people interested in Norway and the Norwegian language. Keep my fingers crossed you’ll come back!
The words rains and gold only reflect me the only Goddess / Lady / Queen / Princess / Star etc, and cannot be in someone’s name or yt name or comments etc, and the special name Tom only reflects my pure protectors aka the alphas, and must be changed! Most of the videos are helpful, but in some of them there is big term misuse and some very ofsv contents, but luckily most of it is just normal words and normal images!
I’ve been learning Norwegian for a few months now, and I memorized almost all the words in the first 30 videos, and I need to memorize the rest of them because there are always some words that need to be repeated more! But I can even understand a lot of written Danish now, because it is so similar to written Norwegian! And I can understand about 80% of the words in many of the videos where they ask people random questions! I think I can reach a higher level in Norwegian soon, that would be close to my level in Dutch! Most Norwegian words are so pretty!
The most difficult is, trying to figure out which nouns are neutral and which are feminine, without having to check that for every single word, but even the Google translator doesn’t show if certain words are feminine and shows them usually with the en article, even the ones that are feminine, so there should have been some lists that show the 3 grammatical genders for every noun, and the other 3 forms of the noun, because some of them have different endings if they end in certain vowels or certain letters! I also learned that there are two types of Norwegian, so it would have also been nice to have a list that contains all the differences between the two, because I just assumed that most words are spelled the same way, and only some of them have a different spelling or use a different word, so a list that only contained the words that are different in Bokmål / Nynorsk would have been nice! For example, på grunn av / grunna / grunnet!
And, it would have also been nice to have a list of all the different words between dialects, like, maybe in some dialects they use a different word for certain items or use certain words with a different meaning etc! I’m not sure how different Norwegian dialects are, or if they are as different as Dutch dialects that are a different language technically (for example, Dutch and Limburgish dialect, which is a different language that sounds more like German and like a mix of two) so, with such dialects, I must basically learn a whole different language! But I assumed most dialects in Norway aren’t that different, and maybe they only have some different words only, and a different accent!
When I learn a new language, I also try learning all the different dialect terms and meanings etc! Dutch and Norwegian are the easiest languages to learn, esp for an English speaker, and also Swedish, but Dutch and Norwegian definitely have the easiest spelling and pronunciation! And, I use all 3 articles in Norwegian, except for a few words, such as kake (I use en for kake and kaken) but, still, it’s still kind of similar sounding to the word for doo-doo (even the English word cake looks similar to it esp in spelling) and, when I think about the fact that in Dutch, they call the 🚽 a kakhuis, it makes me not want to use that word at all (because doo-doo related terms should never sound similar to a food related term) so, now I can never look at the word cake / kake the same way again! For almost all other words that are feminine, I use the EI article! So if anyone has a list or knows if there are lists of Norwegian nouns that show which nouns are feminine and neutral, or knows any videos that show such lists of nouns, one should definitely let me know!
Hey guys this video is way overdue. I wish I recorded more footage during various periods, especially during Christmas, but it wasn't until February that I decided to create this. Hope you enjoy it nevertheless

Thank you so much for posting this! It’s hard to get information about Norwegian culture, Norwegian people and traditions… I was adopted and didn’t find my real family until my 40s and my father side are Norwegians… But I don’t live around any Norwegian Americans so these videos are gold it to me!
I’m glad you make these videos. It’s been my dream for the last thirty years to make a journey to Norway, land of my ancestors. I wish it were easy to emigrate from America to Norway, I’d love to be there all year round. It would be nice to live in a country where so many people share the same core values.
My son was born in Trondheim and we lived there for 7 years while I was going my PhD, postdoc and such. Now we have moved back to Brazil 🇧🇷 and have been living here for 1.5 years. He misses his hometown, although not having to deal with the long, windy and dark winters, and have a lot of sunny days here in Rio. Very nice to watch this video and reflect on the extreme differences now on January during the summer in Rio de Janeiro! Ironically what I miss the most is the summer in Trondheim, I think it's actually better than in the tropics.
Hello from Naples, Florida. We enjoyed seeing the winter weather and scenery in Trondheim. Thank you so much for sharing this part of the world with us. 👍👍
I'll be visiting Trondheim in 2 weeks and watching your videos has made me even more excited to see the town in person. Snow is something I've never seen outside of the freezer, neither have I experienced less then 10h of sun, it'll be quite a shock, a good one I'm sure :)
We just returned from Oslo (where grankids and family live)and decided that we must extend our next trip to include a train to Trondheim! Thanks to you I can sort of understand my 3 year old granddaughter and answer partially in Norsk(after 3 years of studying) Thanks and Greetings from Oregon-USA
Great video, as usual. The lowest temperature i've experienced in Trondheim since i moved here in 2010, was in winter 2010/11, when we saw temperatures plunging down to -24, and i loved it 😍
Amamzing, amazing, amazing, magic. These videos on Trondheim that you make are simply fabulous, so well done, always no stress, no complications, just pure beauty. Thank you so much for all the work you put in this, although you probably love it and it shows. I never get tired of this. It was so refreshing today, after the sleepless night in the sauna I'm currently living in. WONDERFUL!
I'll be coming to Trondheim in August to start the Erasmus Mundus Master's program and I am stoked after watching your videos! I really knew nothing about Norway before and these have been a great way to mentally prepare.
Thank you for showing us such a wonderful video! Such a great scenery Winter time in Trondheim, Norway. I feel so happy watching your footage! I look forward to your next work! Have a safely out there, my friend..
Thank God I live in Algeria on the Mediterranean coast and near the desert and we have a beautiful climate even though the summer is very hot, and I love Norway and its wonderful people, but what amazes me is how its people can live in a cold climate and the very long polar nights in Bergen, Tromsø and Trondheim and how they do not get depressed If I were them, I would go crazy and lose my mind
They always have something to do in the winter time. Hygge is so cozy. I lived in Norway for 11 months and i was happy there. I guess it depends on a person's taste. I'm not an out going person so I pretty much like to be inside the house and enjoy the snow view un my window
Hey man, thank you for making videos about Norway, coming there is my number one dream nowadays! Hopefully you are doing great and come back with a new videos soon!

Where are my norwegians??? I miss them!!!
Just want to say that your videos have been a refreshing twist and uniquely helpful in starting to learn Norsk.
Your North American accent is so good. I'm very curious. Have you spent much time in the US or Canada or did you pick up the accent some other way?
Also thanks for the great videos.
I see Norway looks gorgeous in August :3
Great content
lovelly video !
Hallo! Mister, won't you retalk about norwegian verbs? I mean the past and future tenses?
Thanks!
As a Swede I can relate to the lack of sunshine during winter
In your videos I do pay attention on stores in the street. I was wondering if you could do a video on shopping culture in Norway? Is it common for people to buy local or most of the things are imported like it is in Canada ? Thank you!
-15C ? That's all you get? Dude I wish we had such warm winters here 😅
"our old ass bridge" haha
lol I was like "wait what?" I had to go back and make sure I heard that right 😂
First I would like to thank you for your great vedios about Norway and the language, secondly are you teaching bokmål or nynorsk accent?
