Good morning Carla, I received my order yesterday and I love the ginger shortbread cookies. Shortbread are my favorite. I can’t wait to start reading the book and the bookmarks are beautiful. I am giving them as gifts to 2 of my daughters as they read all the time. I will add them to there Halloween bags even though they are in their 50’s. Thank you again add I look forward to watching your show every Sunday morning.
Oh good, I'm so glad you are enjoying everything. I love hearing where the bookmarks are going because my Daughter painted those. I will let her know. Have a wonderful week Betty!!
Carla, thank you for another enjoyable video. I always like your content, and your fall decorations and store items keep my "autumn buzz" going; especially after this very hot and oppressive summer here in NYC. I am impressed that you respond to each comment left by your viewers. It speaks volumes about your caring and engaging personality. Have a good. Looking forward to your next video. God bless, Robert.
Yes, I remember your candle collection. I'm the same way, I love all kinds of candles.🕯I have a collection too! It makes the home so cozy and warm. Especially in the Fall and Winter months. Yup, you're a candle girl, like me...👍🕯P.S. I like candles with the scent of Sandalwood most times. But not all scents are the same, so it's trial and error. In Fall, it would be Apples and Cinnamon and Clove. I like Burberry, or any kind of Berry scents. For Christmas, it's Pine Tree, Cookies and Cream scents. Or Red Currant scented candles. In Summer, I try and to find candles that smell like the Ocean or Tropical Breeze or Garden of Roses. But I have to find the right scent I like best for me.. Because not everyone likes the same scent coming from a scented candle...I also have unscented candles, and those are lit for sending prayers for people in need. There is a candle for every season and occasion in my home.
This channel and NEFL are pure joy. Thank you ❤. Ordered one of the sconces. Cannot wait to hang it in our new home. I will be back for one of the candles after the move. Like you, I am a citrus girl after the holidays.
Thank you so much Andra and thank you for your Order! That Sconce was one of "those items" I considered keeping. lol. Have fun setting up your new Home! Yay, another Citrus Girl!
Oh thank you. It is such a Cozy fragrance and I love it, I hope you enjoy it as well. Balsam Fir is my 2nd favorite.....always have one in my Stash. Have a great Sunday!
I am a candle fan also and like to have scented candles around the house. For summer I have been enjoying a basil & lime candle from a company here in UK called The White Company. For Autumn I like sandalwood, berry etc and Winter the fresh fir fragrances.
I have been looking for two sconces for about six months here in Canada especially in our town we don’t have stores like you do every thing you purchased is fantastic from canada
My favorite scents are fresh like Fraiser fur or pine, eucalyptus all my first choices actually year round. My 2nd choice is spa smelling scents like French lavender not the English lavender. Berry scents I also like. I also love boozy candles with rum, bourbon, and boozy vanilla, pink pepper, tobacco leaf. I enjoy a candle called Jazz Club by Replica Maison Margiela. Very nice for fall and winter.
Thank you for sharing! Just the past couple of years I have fallen in love with the "tobacco/bourbon" scent, I like it for my Library. I will look into the Jazz Club you mention. I agree about Frasier Fir. One of my all time favorites is the Thymes Frasier Fir, a Christmas staple. Enjoy the rest of your Sunday!
Hi Carla, I enjoyed seeing all your treasures! As you know, I ordered that Heavenly Garden cream a while back and I just love it! It is so soft and creamy with a light coconut scent. You asked what scents we like in candles. I love the bakery scents. My favorite candles are 34oz jar candles from "A Cheerful Giver". 3 of my favorites from them are "Juicy Apple", "Nutmeg and Spice" and "Maple Syrup Pancakes". They burn clean and last a long time. I do like a strong scent that fills the house, so may not be for you. I order from QVC and always wait for free shipping day and for them to be on sale also and save a ton of money! Have a great week!! 🧡
Thank you for sharing Debbie. I'm not familiar with "A Cheerful Giver" but the Nutmeg and Spice would intrigue me. Thank you for sharing your thoughts on Heavenly Garden. It's always hard to describe a scent to someone. Have a beautiful Sunday!
Hi Carla - I have strayed from candles only because of the soot that slowly builds on walls and windows, however, I really want to share with you what I use in its place. I use most sprays and I spray on light bulbs (I also keep Old electric Christmas candles around my house behind a vignette etc and I spray on the little bulb. Everyone else goes crazy for the scent when they arrive. My favorite is Log Cabin for fall and winter by Vintage Home Mist. I believe they may be out of business but I’m searching for an alternative! I always buy my mists from another source. I also want to share a shop with you - ignore the musty smell - but a local told me about it in Wells Maine. Every Columbus Day weekend on Harbor Road in North Wells Maine they have an open house in the home and barn. A treasure trove! I do t know the name but it’s not too far on Harbor Road on the right. An old white building. All the locals go there. It’s a must!! Enjoy!!
Thank you Donna for the Shop recommendation, I will definitely look that up. Also, thank you for the reminder of spraying lamp lightbulbs. I used to do that years ago and totally forgot about it. I will try that again! Have a beautiful week Donna!
@@mynewenglandstory I haven’t seen it for a long time. It might have been hazelnut coffee…..I just know I loved it and used it sparingly to make it last as long as I could. There is a Nebraska based business in Edgar, Nebraska that sells candles across the country. They have jar candles. My DILs love them. Just a bit of info for you. but I’ll be still searching for the hazelnut.
Yay! Just ordered the little English Cottage Figurine. I have a similar one and now I can start collecting! (@deedees_newengland_farmhouse) Thank you Carla!!
I'm anxious to see your home projects, baking, or New England in the fall. You got us thinking about the season.
Hi Carla, thanks for showing us some items in your store. Some I hadn’t seen before, so I had to go Christmas shopping. Lol❤
Yay, thank you!!! Happy Sunday!

Hazelnut, vanilla, or cinnamon!
Ooooh, Hazelnut. I'm not sure I have seen a Hazelnut Candle. All very warm scents though.🥰

I looked on Amazon and found Hazelnut Candle from Lebanon Candles from Lebanon, MO. Says small family farm. Just sharing.
As always, love your videos. My favorite candle scents are apple, spices, citrus, cranberry. Not a bakery scent fan.
The lantern behind you is stunning! Was it an antique find or was maybe sold in your store?
Thank you, I've had it for years, found at an Antique Store.
Carla your home entrance is so charming!
Thank you Kate! Wait until you see the transformation we are currently working on....an "English" look. I'm very excited. Have a beautiful Sunday!

Aren't they adorable?! I had never seen those before. I found 4 and kept 2 for myself. I had to share because they are so darn cute.....ENJOY!
