How could this show not have been nominated for a Tony Award for best musical? And Steven Pasquale as well?! Just insane. At least it rightly won for best score (and orchestrations, I think?). IF/THEN also wasn't nominated for best musical? Such things really show how overly commercially driven these awards are.
This show was robbed of a nomination for best musical... especially Steve for Best Actor in a Musical. Extremely upset about that. It was honestly such an amazing show.
I'm so happy I had a chance to see this on Broadway. It is such a beautiful show. Really deserved to be nominated for Best Musical, though.
Honestly, I loved this show much more than the Tony-nominated Aladdin.

Yeah... around the start of the new year i think? Maybe februrary? It didnt get a tony nomination for best musical though and from what i've heard - musicals pretty much depend on those if the sale of the tickets are going a little slow... So sad! Wonderful show!
