That scene in the truck when Francesca has her hand on the car door contemplating whether to get out of the car or not.....OMG makes me cry!

I bought this book in the Amsterdam Airport in the 90s, only to find out the book was set 20 minutes away from where I lived back in Iowa. Crazy coincidence, amazing book.

He talks about magic, and I witness it here in this interview. It's the same kind of magic he makes us hope for in the pages of his book, but it also tells me the artist has to carry it to express it in artistic form. This gave me hope.

I'm long past wishing for that kind of Magic. If couldn't handle it . Too intense.
Great story. Might try and read the book. I am impressed.

I think he wrapped up the core of the book when he said, 'I believe that the Universe transpires and creates Magic in lives'
I'd say, if you allow it. He's truly a Creative Artist and his experience of the writing is truly a creative moment, as he said - Zen Like ! He allowed it to happen 😍

I felt the interviewer could have been more gentle in the questions, it sounds like he is grilling Robert for his life but Robert amswers with genuine ease. Love the film, just bought the book off ebay.

At the end of his life , Richard (her husband) said "Franny. I know you have your dreams , I am sorry I didn't give to you" (Something like that).
Some said he already knew her 4 days story. But I don't believe he did. He just to say sorry about what she has dream of yet never received.
Remember she said he is a farmer and very clean husband . So without any clue of this at all , if she kept it as a secrecy .
I feel pity but lucky too for this clean husband.

An amazing film that I lost count as to how many times I've watched. Francesca's body language and these little sounds she makes while looking at Robert (from a distance) or thinking of him as if she's in a state of extreme sexual excitement but at the same time like holding back, trying to control herself, I find extremely erotic. Then you got Meryl Streep herself looking like a Goddest, with that beautiful face and that body of hers hidden under those dresses that makes me think no other actress could've played this character better than her.
Beautiful film that I highly recommend.
